I have made two claims with Choice Warranty. The first I wasn't pleased with. Was told it wasn't normal wear and tear. It was a air duct that had collapsed under my house. How is that not covered. It only cost me my deductible and the repair person was good and quick. Making the repair after going for parts. Second claim was for a stove repair. This claim was handled well. The tech. called before arriving.Arrived on time and made fast work of the problem. I will renew the warranty, at the end of contract, for a forth time if the cost hasn't made it to costly.

They do what they say they are going to do. But not really. They cover what they say they are going to cover, but sometimes it takes months to get your problem resolved because you have to rely on their booking system - which is - well - worse than trying to call a taxi cab these days (which makes me sound old and I am not which is the point of this comment). Sometimes they show, sometimes they don't - why - because you shouldn't be using old ways of doing things. And since they use crappy vendors, you are stuck having to have issues fixed more than once. I have had that happen more than once - and Choice is of absolute zero help in that scenario. However, when the day comes when I need something massively expensive repaired, like my HVAC - I am hoping it will be worth dealing with them for the last 5ish years. And lastly, and possibly the worst thing about them - when your premium is due about 4-6 months out - they will start blasting you with Spam emails and calls to renew. I block them and send them to Spam, but it gets to be up to 3 times a day, and it is super annoying.

I like the program, but the Plumer that was sent out was a rip off. First was the $75.00 co-pay (More than acceptable). Then came the $275.00 to change a shut off valve and finally the $400.00 for parts and to haul away the old water heater that I have to agree to beforehand! Shouldn't the shut off valve be part of the $400.00 in parts???? The only parts they installed were two hoses, an exhaust pipe and a drip pan. So, I end up paying $750.00 for a Water heater that I could get for $700.00.

Filing a claim is very easy but the wait for a repairmen is unreasonable long. Two claims I filed i was offered to find my own repairmen, pay, and wait for a reimbursement from Choice Home Warranty. Isn't this is why I have this warranty in the 1st place because it is easier for me to pay 65$ service fee than 300$ 400$ or maybe even more and then wait for a reimbursement. What if there is a limit on what they would pay me back for. (Ex. Repairmen service fee 65$ + the repair 300$ 500$= 865$ total. And they CHW only approve reimbursement for 200$) #imjustsaying. Is it worth to keep this service? My husband says let's try it again and see what happens. As for me I'm ready to drop it & try another company.

I was a little frustrated because it was 2 days and they weren't finding a contractor for me. Your better off going with a contractor that you pick and is willing to fill out the reimbursement forms which i did because it takes too long for them to find one for you. My reimbursement check came alot sooner than expected.

I was pleased with my problem. I needed a new washing machine and Choice Home warranty said they would pay $343. towards another one. They would send me a check in that amount which I have NOT received. If I do not receive that check, you’ll be hearing from me as to how I feel about this company.

If you had asked me a few months earlier, I would've said that the service has improved greatly since COVID. I still believe the quality of service providers has significantly increased. However, the lack of getting someone on the phone to assist with a claim or with an attempt to explain your issue is still s struggle. The last rep I spoke with blamed me for incorrectly placing a claim for the wrong part. I noticed my ceiling cracking with mildew, so of course, I reported that my wall had damage because that's all I could see. When the contractor arrived he was extremely courtesy and friendly; however, his services didn't include finding the source of the ceiling damage and when I spoke to a rep she was extremely rude and pretty much said I should've known it was a plumbing issue. Nevertheless, it was discovered to be leak from the hotwater tank leading to my master shower and I was told by the tech that the leak was cause of my damage. I would later inquire after not hearing back from Choice to be told that the diagnosis was still under review on 2/16 and today is 3/28. Not a call or email; however, I'm pretty sure it is automated, but when I reviewed the notes today it said that the plumbing issue has been resolved. That is accurate; however, my ceiling remains damaged.

I just finished signing up for the Choice Home Warranty program. The representative was very helpful explaining how the warranty works including the co-pay cost of having a technician come out to check and repair or replace an appliance. He also covered the monthly cost and reduced cost one to three year payment options. I did sign up for the the warranty program under the monthly payment option and am looking with any service people that need to come to my home.

Have used service several times. Service depends on who the case is assigned to. I've had some really good technicians and some who make appointments and don't show up. Sales practice is deceptive. Salesperson failed to mention if they're unable to repair something they pick an arbitrary amount and issue a gift card and you have to handle your own replacement. I had to pay $200 over the amount they allowed to replace dishwasher.

I was able to immediately create a request for service via their website. It was easy to access and set up a service request. The information provided was insightful and clear. My request required two visits because of a part needed to be ordered. Choice reset the return visit and all was handled easily. Only one visit fee was due and paid.

I just purchased your total package back in July 2022 and this was the first time I used the claim process. The website you provided didn't do a very good job of tracking the transactions and thusly, missed efficiency and getting to an end point. Your tech came and diagnosed the problem. He had to wait over an hour to get an answer from your corporate people. There were three separate issues but they repeatdely mad the mistake of grouping the Bathroom and kitchen problem together and trying to deny the claim. I even spoke with your Customer service and was on the phone for over a half hour. For such a simple issue it turned into a lot of bad advertising for you. I hope you don't take this as complaining but constructive criticism to better your service. I still have over a year left on my contract and I am already thinking it is not worth calling you because it seems to always turn into a comedy of errors on your end and I could save time calling someone else, but I want.

I did not appreciate arguing with one of your Reps about my service being over looked and incomplete. Because my contact with you all was one day past the 30 days she was constantly saying there was nothing she could do. I had to tell her 5C if not more that o was in contact last week with you all and another Case Manager attempted to make contact with the worker who came out to the house who stated he could b not remember who I was as the Customer at that time. My process is you guys needed to speak with the Worker to see what he came out and done at the property. This call was made a week before the 30 days was up. I'm telling my self you all needed to make contact with the Worker before the closing 30 days. Long story short the young lady connected to her Supervisor finally as I had asked her to do. The appointment was set up with Aaron's Pool Supervisor.

I am so glad that the customer service representative was able to communicate in English. I was trying to see if I could file a claim on patching up my drywall. It was really a complicated situation but she had no problem explaining in English why my claim was not valid. I had a tumultuous experience with my last claim where I spent hours (and so did my tech) trying to get this resolved. I would have given a 1 star rating, but because it was finally resolved and I was reimbursed the majority of the cost, I’ll give them 3 stars. Major takeaways from my experience- they reserve the right to close out your ticket with the tech you’re working with and get a second opinion from a new company. This was very frustrating as we were already without a hot water tank for days (working with a great company that was trying to help us) when they tried to reassign the job to a new company- starting the process over when we were desperate for hot water. It was finally resolved and we were able to keep the company that was already scheduled to replace it that day. I’m going to keep my warranty for the rest of the year, but one more issue and we’re out.

I had a problem with my icemaker that was fixed, 3 days later the water dispenser stopped. I had to pay another service fee to have it fixed! Looks like there is no warranty on the work for the same ice maker, even tho there was not problem before the fix. My repair for my leaking faucet (almost a month) not yet scheduled. My toilet also is scheduled and not scheduled. Plumber said, waiting for parts. Why not use the hardware stores we have here on the island! We have done repairs before with not problem getting parts!!! My water is still leaking and I'm sure my water bill will show it! I am disappointed with how long it takes to get a repair done in a timely manner . I would like a rep to get in touch with me about these matters, and whether Choice Home Warranty is really providing the service a customer wants and needs on a timely basis.
