My refrigerator was leaking water out the back. I called America Home Shield and they sent a repairman out and he said it was a bad valve that was open too long causing the ice maker to overflow . The problem was fixed without any problems . I highly recommend America Home Shield.

If you are only using them for appliances repair/replacement that is good. If anything major goes wrong like furnace plumbing electrical or roofing give it up. Our furnace went out and the price to replace it was $2800 as it couldn't be repaired, they are paying $700 on a buyout. Nothing it you are going to let the repair company replace it. If I was going to let them replace it it was still going to cost me $2800. My electrical system is bad. Started tripping circuits and the guy came to look at it and said it needed to be replaced and that AHS WILL ONLY PAY FOR MINOR REPAIRS. This is crazy! Why wouldn't the replace it?

When I had an issue with one of my bathroom faucets I called AHS, they responded quickly with the repair service information, I was contacted by the repair person who scheduled for the next day to come to my home. Once the repair person arrived they were very professional and replaced both sink faucets so they matched.

The technicians who did my repairs were on time, efficient and very skilled. However, the schedulers repeatedly ignored my washing machine final repair requests! AHS was extremely bad in scheduling a follow up appt. to finish repair on my GE washing machine once the parts ordered by the first technician arrived at my home. It took me 15 phone calls to AHS before they finally sent a technician out to finish the work. The tecnician was excellent, the scheduling through AHS was horrific. I thank the lady who took my last call and at long last got GR scheduled to finish the repair. I spent 2 months with no washing machine because AHS did not do their job. Extremely frustrated. However, other repairs on my refrigerator were easily scheduled and repaired.

I have had only one experience with them and it was very good. I have friends who say they won't be without them. This rating applies only to my very limited experience. A cost-benefit is in order and the outcome would surely be determined by the going rates for repairs in a specific area.

Nice coverage except for a few exception regarding Fire Alarms. But hold times, online options for listing things in detail are lacking. Transparency with what the vendors write is not seen and this is a big negative because they often are not thorough in checking the items and sometimes DO NOT get the list (so they claim) then they leave and walk away. Because I do not see what they report there's no way for me to challenge them unless I call and wait for 45-1 hr to speak to a rep. Please update this important step. Otherwise I am very happy with the customer service rep's professionalism and friendliness. AHS has done an amazing job training the fleet of rep who answer the phone and alway remain pleasant and professional and helpful. Thank you.

You recently sent someone from SSEC in Sierra Vista AZ to my house to fix an electrical problem. They came out quickly and told me they had "fixed" the problem. I was happy and I rated them a 5star rating. It was premature. Later that day, I realized that the guy had fixed NOTHING!!! After 6 more trips back to our home, my husband helped the guy fix it. Don't send anyone from SSEC to us again, PLEASE! Rate them 0!

It's been really easy to put in work orders, and for the most part the companies they've contracted with have been timely and reliable. Unfortunately one time there was a communication error with a contractor and they never showed up for their scheduled appointment. The status of my work order was that the company had tried to contact me and couldn't (which wasn't true). In this situation, there was no good way to contact AHS to fix the problem. Because they do not reach out to the customer. For example my property manager calls to schedule a service but then tells them that I have to call to authorize the transaction, which is fine, but why is AHS not calling the landlords right then and there instead of having them call to be on hold for an hour to get through. Also when a transaction didn't go through and the service is canceled why is AHS not reaching out to say that your transaction didn't go through can we try again, I have to find out from my PM that found out from my tenant. People as taking time off from work for services for AHS not to catch it before an appointment is canceled is unacceptable. It's bad customer service.

Anything I needed to have repaired it was done. However, trying to reach out to AHS over the phone is an ordeal. You can't speak to who you need to speak to and no one calls you back. I've been trying to reach the CIL group for over a month and a half to no avail. Plus before you can ever speak to anyone who can't help you it will take over 2 hours on hold before you ever get to a live person, who won't be able to assist you and will transfer you to another number that will take another couple of hours and if they answer one or two things will happen (1) they won't be able to give you any answers, and (2) they'll pick up the phone and it will go dead. As far as the contractors they hire that can be questionable.

Very responsive for arranging repair person. We had two cases: 1) dishwasher repair completed via one repair person; 2) refrigerator was a nightmare because it required an authorized GE repair person, eventually had to have firm that installed it do the repair and pay them ourselves, but we were reimbursed. HOWEVER, THEIR RENEWAL RATE IS A HUGE INCREASE OVER THE RATE FOR FIRST YEAR. WON'T RENEW AT THAT RATE.

Easy claim process and quick response, July 2020 I had 3 claims AC, Sump Pump (Flooded Basement) & Hot Water Heater motor on AC replaced no charge, sump pump replaced no charge and hot water heater replaced with some out of pocket cost to plumber but understood as it needed to be brought up to code.

Overall service is great. Service person explained the procedure clearly. Provided me with local plumber contracted for the job. I called local plumber and was able to get appointment the next day. I am very happy not to wait more than one day for plumbing problem.

I've had AHS off and on for over 17 years. They get a rep out quickly! If the object can't be repaired they replace. But I am waiting on a replacement now. Can't get anyone on the phone! Each time i call it's over an hour hold time!!

I have had AHS coverage on at least 7 houses. When something needs to be replaced, there is no problem having them agree and paying the cash value. They also use usually very good repair people who come quickly. Overall, I have been happy with AHS and would never own a home without AHS coverage.

Work order requests are turned in on-line. AHS is quick to notify the repair company & email me of which company has been assigned. But if you want to talk to a person on the phone, forget it. I have never had any success. I have been on hold for up to 1 hour on several occasions. The work has always been completed in a timely manner and I have never been charged more than the agreed upon $75 per repair order fee. Over all I am satisfied. But I would be extremely satisfied if the option to speak with a human was there.

Hard to contact and get answers. Called on one job of 3 and wanted 30 minutes to talk to rep got disconnected and had to call back and wait for another 35 min. Technician can put 3 weeks ago and was going to send another technician, never heard back, called and had to wait another week, that guy was new to company and didn’t know what he should do, was suppose to call me back, I called on Monday said they were waiting for approval. That was went I called. Approval was submitted on a Wednesday and as of Monday nothing was done towards approval. I told technician on first visit what the issue was, needed gree on which is the same thing done for the last 3 years
