Have called several times in the last two weeks to get a billing issue resolved. No one has returned any of my calls though they insist that they'll call me back with the resolution. Spoke with an agent yesterday who explained He'll submit an investigation to the billing department to resolve this issue. My first experience with them was terrible. The vendor they recommended didn't show up for over a month. They would schedule and cancel. Since then, it has been better. Although I asked them to get a plumber's report and they never did so I had to hire a plumber outside the service.

A technician was scheduled for service and cancelled within a few hours because they didn't service my area. American Home Shield did not call me to inform me of what happened so I was sitting at home waiting for the tech to show up on the appointed day. I called many times but it wasn't until I called a third time that I was informed of the situation and was offered a new date.

I had a service call for my range oven. I informed the rep that my breaker was shutting off. AHS sent out a tech, the tech said I needed an electrician. Sunrize Electric came out and said I needed a new breaker and he would have to order one. He said he would contact me back, however he never did. I tried to contact Sunrize Electric for over a week with no response. Finally I called another Electrician and the breaker was repaired the same day. I then called AHS and spoke with a rep Jen#124918 who told ne I could not get a refund for the $100 service call. I asked to speak with a supervisor or manager and Jen said no supervisor or manager was available. I went without my range oven for over two weeks.

They do not check out the reputation and reviews on the service companies that they arbitarily hire to do the service. They are terrible, inept and have terrible reviews on-line. I have had to pay for 3 different service calls for my fridge and it has been 4 weeks with out my fridge being repaired. My washer and dryer same thing with two repair calls for same issue over the past 2 months. As I type, I have no working washing machiene and no fridge/freezer. Terrible service and companies that they hire. Then AHS has a lenghty wait time to review your case , asking for a different service company. Like it is a scam.

Why you sent me a awful HVAC guy who put the wrong motor in my AC unit and bent my fan blades, tried to sell me a $800 part that ended up being totally fine after I asked for a second opinion. Not quite sure why you charged me $75 for that second opinion when I call I was told it would be looked into but I never heard anything back. I did not want the initial HVAC guy here he was very rude when I address the issue with them so if it wasn't for that I probably would have gave you a five star.

We continue to have issues with the service providers not being honest. Especially HVAC and Plumbing Contractors. HVAC actually discharged Freon directly into atmosphear decharging our system then saying that there was a leak wanting an additional $1200 for "Uncovered" repairs. We had to request a second opion their finding NO LEAK just no Freon! AHS still requires us to pay full price to replace the missing freon that "Your" service tech released without a recovery system into the enviroment! Very Dishonest and possible violation of federal law!..

I have used American Home Shield a few times in the past and felt the people/repair service sent to help me were professional and helpful. Friday, Oct. 15th, I called AHS as I noticed a slight gas odor in my garage and requested help. Sunday, Oct. 17th, Plumb Genius sent an employee to check my water heater and to help me find source of gas leak. After checking the water heater and in the attic, he did find there was gas in the attic but was unable to find the source. He said he would put in a high priority order and turned off the gas to my house. Monday, Oct. 18th, I called Plumb Genius about help. They said they would send someone to check for the leak on Friday, Oct. 22nd between 11:00-3:00. I took off work to meet them and after 3:30 PM I received a call from Plumb Genius that said they would not be able to come. They could come on Sunday, Oct. 24th between 8-12:00. On Sunday, Oct. 24th, at 11:30 AM they called and said they couldn't come until next week. My options were, Wed. Oct. 27th or Sat. Oct. 30 (Keep in mind that I was without heat or hot water since Oct. 17th.) I told them to cancel that order and that I would get my own plumber. Which I did. On Sunday, Oct. 24th, I called American Home Shield to express my frustration and asked for help. I guess there was nothing they could do, I honestly don't remember all the details of that conversation, but it was like what I am expressing here. To say that I was disappointed in AHS and Plumb Genius is an understatement. I'm sure that I saved AHS money since my repairs weren't completed by them and I had to cover the cost of my repairs as well as my yearly fee to American Home Shield. I don't call often, but when I do, I need help. I expected to get that help from American Home Shield and am disappointed.

problem was not resolved,EJs repair sent a tech i am very diddapointed in the service i received,and i am requesting a full refund of my renewal,and also a refund for the deductable that i paid for the repair that was not done. cian out to repair my microwave oven that was suppose to en repaired but 2 days later still had the same problem. iIinformed AHS,and EJs repair that the problem still exist.l wasgiven an appointment for Monday between 12pm &4pm. The repairman didnt arrive until 5:30pm.he came in and told me to put a cup of water in the microwave and turn it on,after the microwave cut off he took too the cup of water out of the microwave and said ,its getting hot,i told him it never failed to get hot,the problem was that the microwave would randomly cut on and start heating,and the only way to stop it from running was to open the door.The repairman said it was not anything he could do,and left. They aren't the company they used to be. Very common to be on-hold for almost an hour just to talk to someone. They require parts to be sent from their facilities instead of local vendors being able to get them faster locally. Multiple times, vendors just showed up without calling to make sure the appointment time would work. It's bad! I own a property management company so we have to deal with AHS regularly and they continue to disappoint. I won't be renewing my own policies and will go to another warranty company.

I reported a problem with my refrigerator/ freezer and technician came to supposedly fixed it. The compressor was recharged and technician reported the problem was fixed. I submitted a mother work request for the same problem freezer temperature was too high that ice cream will not freezes up and melted like a milkshake. By me requesting service for the same problem was charged another $75.00.

After calling for the fourth time and spending hours on the phone, I'm still waiting for American Home Shield to mail me a copy of what they want to do about fixing my AC. At first they were going to email me something. Then they couldn't do that and it had been mailed. I would receive it in a few days. Still haven't received it and it's been about three weeks. Called again today, they put me on hold and the phone has been silent for the last hour. They want me to remain on the phone for a survey and then never come back with the survey. Received a request for this survey after an earlier call. No request now.

On August 27, 2021, I submitted a claim for my stove that wasn’t working. American assigned GE Appliances to the repair; however, the contractor informed me and his office that the part needed to fix my stove was no longer available per manufacture. He unplugged my gas stove . Since it was a gas stove I had to be careful when lighting the two burners. He also warned not to plug the stove into the electric socket. After numerous calls to American Homeshield and GE, my stove remains broken. Since August 27th I’ve had to use a match to light the one burner. There were times when I came close to burning myself in that I’m 70yrs old and my hands aren’t as steady as they were 20 yrs ago. On each call to American I was told someone from authorization would call me within 24-48 hours; however, I’ve not gotten any calls from American Homeshield. I’ve even emailed them but received not one reply to my calls nor emails. My grandson lives with me and I have to keep a close watch on him making sure he doesn’t burn himself or cause a fire . This is poor customer service. My contract with American indicates that if they can’t fix it then they will replace it. It’s been 2 months since my initial call for my GE Gas stove not working and to date it remains broken. American Homeshield is in direct violation of our contractual a agreement. I need my GE stove fixed or replaced as per our contract. American promised to do something that it’s failed to fulfill with my claim!! Unacceptable !!

An electrician contractor sent by American Shield came to look at my inoperative electric heating system. He took a photo of my broken thermostats. Weeks later I called to find out what the status was. Found out that American Shield denied the claim without an explanation. Called AS to get my $75 refund since no service was performed. Was told that the refund would be processed. Nothing yet. Still waiting. In the meantime another electrician who I sent photos of my broken system to told me to talk to HVAC specialist. Why didn't AS inform me of this option?

I saw that the monthly price had gone up. Called them. The lady said they would put it to $49. I was fine with that. 2 months later, they raised the price by $20 a month. Called again. Had a nice rep but with broken English. I still don't understand. Seems like bait and switch to me!

When I called about a problem the first person was not very well informed at all. The second person I talked with was very knowledgeable and was able to assist me in all my needs. All my problems were resolved.

Scheduling a repair is easy when using the website. Contractor is assigned quickly and out to the house on a timely basis. AHS is comprehensive on what it covers.

Dishwasher did not dissolve the soap. AHS ordered a motor for us and a professional dishwasher repair person came and replaced the motor. It is working perfectly now.
