I do not request services often. Slow response from Plumber , did not complete the job. He was rude. Requested second opinion from another week plumber. AHS continued to refer me back to back he original me a plumber. Finally I got a refer and had to payAMS additional money. This bad experience lasted about 4 months. The call customer Service people appears in to tell you OK I will sent to manger just to get you off the phone. They say They will call back but the don't. My second experience with a plumber went well.

My past experience with my refrigerator repair was a disaster!! I was without a refrigerator for a couple of weeks before I had to purchase a small one to survive. I lost over 300 dollars in groceries! And it took over a month to get it resolved. 1st Choice appliance repair was horrible and lacking in customer service! AHS wasn't much better in tat depth. I made several calls and had someone in dispute dept tell me he couldn't change vendors, and insinuated that fridge may not have been working before tech arrived

Our policy states AHS covers the HVAC, but apparently it doesn't cover all of it. So they denied our claim. And the entire process with customer service was not good either. First they sent out a company that did not work on our particular problem. The next company could work on it and recommended a replacement as no parts were available. AHS denied the replacement but did not notify either the company or me. After I called they sent out another company for a second opinion. This company did not work on my type of unit, so AHS had to send out another company. Again, the claim was denied but AHS did not notify us. It's been almost 4 weeks from my initial call. AHS has been a waste of time and money.

When I have had to get home repairs done, it takes a long time to get my appliance repaired. It took 3 visits (almost a month) to get my dryer fixes. Also, my monthly installment prices increase each year. When I called to get a discount, I was told it was not possible. Not customer friendly, especially for long time clients.

Is there any operations left here in the states? There's literally no way to talk to anyone who isn't a phone bank or work at home worker in the Philippines. There's no recourse for your mistakes and the wait times are interminable. I've had an open work request since 11/22 and 3 different technicians sent out, but no resolution or movement forward. WE HAVE NO KITCHEN SINK. Now your phone lines are down. There is no other way to contact AHS. Your company is inefficient and your employees are bound to a ridiculous set of "procedures" that make no sense and hinder anyone from making progress. If we didn't have a pool we would dump you immediately. I tried to leave a rating of zero, but your survey wouldn't even allow that. I could not be more frustrated with American Home Shield and your poor employees are at the mercy of 1000's of passed off customers. Joke.

At first the AC company came out and said there was no problem. Then the power went out on my thermistat again. I had you guys recall them and they did call once to let me know they could be at my house in 40 minutes. They never showed up, never called. I found out the fallowing Tuesday that they or someone cancelled the call. My heater still does not work. It is now 14 days since the recall and they have yet to contact me in anyway to make an appointment to fix the power issue to my thermostat. Your company American Home Shield tries to contact Right Tech Heating and Air and tell me to wait. All I do is wait and never hear back from your company or Right Tech. I am Very disappointed with this service over all.

Very frustrating! After paying for a contract, they send out substandard contractors & when the contractor is unable to remedy the problem, AHS attempts to deny the service/claim due to reasons that are not valid. They pay the contractor they chose who couldn't remedy the problem then penalize the customer when the inadequacy (& fault/problem) is with AHS's contractor. Being a customer for years, thinking you have a warranty to protect/assist is a crock-AHS has not demonstrated they care about their customers. I am currently researching other home warranties & plan to cancel my contract w/AHS. If I could rate zero (0) stars I would, but the options are 1-5 but truly my rating is zero (0) stars. Do better American Home Sheild!

Turnaround time was extremely bad. I was without a refrigerator for 3 months. They kept trying to replace parts on a 15 year old refrigerator when they should have just replaced the refrigerator. I was without air conditioning for 2 weeks in the Texas heat due to turnaround time. I spent hours on hold every time I called. There's a lot more issues but I don't want to go into them.

We have the toilet repair person from hell. It has been over a month, your customer service gives the same speech and no one shows up. We asked to have the person changed and they still waiting. the other one was scheduled and just never showed up. We are aftaid to allow the other company into our home since we have made a stink about them. BTW, they never answer our emails or phone calls.

We have experienced one AC company which AHS contracts with that is DISHONEST. It has caused us to pay hundreds of dollars out of pocket that would not have happened with an honorable company. AHS needs to thoroughly evaluate companies they hire. The problem being the word of the customer vs. the contracted company.

I can call American Home Shield twice in one day to discuss a claim and each time I call they waste my time going over data/personal information on file. It makes no sense! They should annotate the file with the last date info was updated. It is unbelieveable that a person can call 10 minutes later and have to go through the same questions (i.e. verifying email address, phone number etc...).

AHS no longer looks out for the customer, they have decided to write in exclusions named modifications so they don't have to cover the cost of the repair/replacement. Now the contracted service company gauges the customer for those modifications and AHS could care less. They have left the customer who pays for coverage flying in the wind. Makes it feel like the warranty I have been paying into for 20 years is worthless now.

When technician replaced pool pump, he did not ground it correctly. When technicain replaced garbage disposal, he did not remove plug from disposal drain correctly. Had to pay another techniician $75 to correct trouble. When my washing machine blew apart, technician said it was becuase we overloaded it. Second technician advised trouble was covered under warranty. When water heater broke it cost me nearly $700 for installation of the new water heater. When garage door opener ripped away from top panel of the garage door, it cost me nearly $3400 to replace the door and opener.

Do not leave an option to describe issue you are having. I also told the contractor what I needed over the phone . I already paid $100. When they came out they said they were not able to do the work but kept the $100 anyway. I am a realtor and sell your warranties for the past 7 years. My $100 was taken when they already knew they could not perform the work.

My air conditioners are 15 years old. I've had numerous problems an AHS has refused to replace them. I've had 2 independent companies come to inspect (at my expense) and both agreed the units should be replaced. I've been told that AHS will never agree to replace until the units fall apart.

There was a lack of communication between AHS and the vendor who then wasn't able to service us as a customer. As soon as the vendor found out, they immediatley jumped at the chance to assist us. I don't care who is at fault, as a customer, it's AHS' responsibilty to handle their communication with vendors with whom they have contracts. No, please don't call me or try to explain away or place the blame on the vendor. Take ownership, follow up with your vendors regularly and we, the customers, will be satisfied.

I had HVAC Maintenace done and the company that did it inadvertently disabled my thermostat. I called the company and they advised me to call AHS so they can come back to fix the thermostat. When I called AHS I was told that I had to pay another $75 in order for them to send the company back out.

Don't have an often enough need for the service. Too often, the issues that I have with my home, AHS doesn't seem to cover it. I've been in my home 11 years and have used my AHS less than 20 times. My water heater needs to be replaced. We've been waiting 3 weeks for the part to be delivered. Every time I have called American home shield to check on the repair I have been given by a different reason/excuse First I called and was told the service provider could change the type of water heater I could get. Then another person contacted the purchasing department for me and gave me a ship date. Another person told me they were not authorized to contact the supplier and had no information. It has been a very frustrating experience

Because their company doesn't have very good communication and they only want to pay for certain issues. But continue to take our money with our warranty. Some of the companies they use are very unprofessional and rude. The company isn't really what we thought it would be

Because the companies that they send to do the jobs are unreliable and unprofessional. They take a long time to schedule job and if you have to call them to come back like I did , they don't answer phone, and they don't call you back even though the company has reassigned them to the job and you are just supposed to wait and be without your appliance working until they see fit to come back.
