Our monthly payment has gone up more than $20/month in the last year, and that is after several years of going up a few dollars each year. We have been customers for many years, with AHS coverage on two houses for several of those years, and we have had minimal claims. We just paid $350 for 3 service calls this month: our kitchen sink was snaked, one running toilet fixed, one toilet adjusted, and an exhaust fan “looked at” but deemed “still working”. We had our fridge ice maker looked at on May 3rd, but are still waiting for you to ship the part to Able so they can install it. I am not really happy right now; considering we will pay nearly $900 in monthly amount this year and the $350 in service fees, that is a lot for the minimal fixes we received.

I've had AHS for 23 years. They've replaced a couple of hot water heaters and provided small repairs. But when my 30+ year AC needed to be replaced, all they'd do is continue to band-aid it...for months and months. Finally, due to chronic lung issues, I had to pay over $7,000 for a new unit and AHS only reimbursed me a couple of hundred. (Without a dependable AC unit, I'd likely end up being hospitalized. Lung patients don't fare well without AC in the heat of the summer in Texas.)

It’s a hit or miss. Sometimes, AHS is fast and other times they are slow. One time they denied wrongfully my service request. My refrigerator door rubber seal is broken and leaking air, and they said it’s not covered by the contract. I pointed out in the contract it covers all parts and components of a refrigerator. AHS said a rubber seal is not a part or a component (!?!?) the only choice left to use mediation but it would take too much time of mine.

Very disappointed in contractor assigned to our claim for dryer repair. Showed up half our past 5pm window first time, "repair" only made it worse to the point we can't even use it. 5 days of laundry backed up, then called at 5:15pm today to say he'll be here in 20 minutes. Time window was 3pm -5pm. Told them can't have them here so late and move us to first appointment tomorrow . We'll see ...

I like the service once a contractor has been assigned. When its working well, it WORKS. When it's not working? It's absolutely terrible. AHS customer service is dismal and that's giving it a lot of credit. If you have to call in because a contractor is unavailable or unresponsive, it's a nightmare.

sent a company to only service one of my air conditioners and expected me to schedule another appointment on a separate day to service my second AC UNIT AND CHARGE ADDITIONAL 100 DOLLARS .I CONTACTED THE COMPANY AND THEY WERE NO HELP IN RESOLVING MY PROBLEM . I WORK THEREFORE ITS DIFFICULT TO HAVE SOMEONE AT THE HOUSE TO MEET. THE TECHNICIAN. The warranty companies should rate the companies they sent out. A lot of these companies attempt tell you that you need a different repair and that the warranty company doesn't cover it and you have to pay out of pocket. I have been a loyal customer for many years and have encountered many different experiences. this happens quite often, leaving the consumer with no solutions.

So many problems. The contractors they use are not the best. If you have a problem with a contractor, good luck with getting your money back or with AHS listening to you. Be prepared to wait for appliances to be replaced. We waited almost 6 weeks for our hot water heater to be replaced. Don't expect customer service to know what's going on. While they are kind, if you have any kind of issue with the service, don't expect them to know how to help. You also may wait 2 hours on a phone call just to be hung up on. You also won't get call backs that are promised. Would highly suggest to stay away from AHS. They have caused more stress than they have helped fix problems in my home.

I do not like calling on the help line and ALWAYS getting someone that has such a strong foreign dialect that I cannot understand them in ENGLISH! I speak ENGLISH and i understand that paying for someone in an impoverish country may cost less than hiring someone that is from the U. S. but your customers suffer because they cannot understand what the assistant on the other end of the phone is saying. When I ask to speak to another representative I am denied or told that I will have to hang up and call back. THAT is the only reason that I am NOT going to ne-new my subscription for A.H.S.

For my Refrigerator, it took almost one year to get them to confirm I could buy a replacement. The Refrigerator kept on freezing inside. The decision makers kept sending the tech and he replacement the item twice but, he knew it would not work. So, it too close to 1 year. Most all the other issues were taken care of without delays. This is "why" I gave this rating It was bad and good.

The selection of contractors is very limited and none of them are local which made the appointment scheduling limited and not as quick as it should have beeb. It was also difficult to speak to anyone from the contractors provided. Everything was handled through text and email...never verbal so I had to deal with operators from AHS who then contacted the contractors via email.

Attentive but the washer is still showing the same issue and the light is blinking again. We lost a day of work waiting for repairs and to get this fixed again would also require a wait and loss of workhorse so not exactly cost effective

Generally fast service and good coverage. Almost always find that some portion of the repair is not covered. For example one broken spring on a garage door. Was told only the broken one is covered but it is highly recommended to replace the other spring at the same time. Had to pay for that. Same with a toilet repair today.

My overall experience would have been higher but the last experience I had with AHS I was very disappointed. I contacted AHS to see if bathtub faucet was covered under my warranty and I was told it was. But when the vendor came out they told me it wasn't. Bottom line is if I had been told the service I wanted done was not covered I would have taken a different route. Instead, since I was told it was covered I had to pay $100 just to have someone come out and tell me it wasn't. The misinformation led to me spending $100 that I didn't have to just give to you just to have someone come out and tell me it wasn't covered. I should be refunded $100. Very disappointed!!

The first 3 repairs were wonderful. The 4th repair not so much. We could not get it done and had to pay for it ourselves because the company could not set us up with a repair company. We had paid for the repair so we requested a refund of the deductible. We will see if that happens.....

Service was easy to schedule, had to order part and return which was expected. Repair Tech was very knowledgeable and friendly. The only thing that gripes me a little is that we have to pay 75 dollars to schedule the service call along with my monthly 59 dollars a month insurance payment.

The primary benefit of AHS is the significant cost savings on home appliances. Unfortunately, most of the contractors they partner with are subpar, and when an appliance can't be repaired, I'm given the run around and have to wait for months before I can get approval from AHS for a cash-out option for a replacement. I'm questioning whether the financial savings is worth all the hassle.

Their service was fantastic. In 6 years, we have only had one bad tech. However, during that 6 years, the price went from $48 to $94/month. That seems uncalled for and nothing but greed. We terminated our relationship.

You should screen your contractors! I was without heat about 10 days, had to stay in a hotel while your first contractor LIED about the issue. I paid out of pocket for another contractor who replaced the thermostat which was dead but he couldn't get heat to work until you sent the next company out who repaired it without issue! I spent $600 on lodging then$200 for a thermostat.
