Don't waste your time or money. They will find a way to make sure they do not have to pay your claim. I distinctly bought this warranty when I purchased my home because I knew my A/C unit was very old and would eventually go out. After giving this rip off company over $2100, the A/C did in fact go out. Their generous offer was for $180. Yep, $180, because of the age of the unit. This is the biggest scam and rip off I have ever been witness to. Look elsewhere, I will be canceling my coverage, as it is worthless. I still have a year left. I am guessing I'll get about $10 back from the. What a crock!

Home Warranties are in place to help your home's units reach their life expectancy and/or exceed it. Call queue times are horrendous. 10-20 mins per call to get a Service Rep on the line. I called for a simple plumbing leak issue and it took 72 hours to get a contractor out onsite. The contractor kept calling me telling me they needed a credit card on file in order to service the repair request even though I kept telling them I was the Home Owner and AFC was the Home Warranty company to get such info from. The plumbers showed up trying to repair what they thought was a broken pipe in the wall even though no such description of a breakage was ever given to AFC. I have had AFC for 1.5 yrs now and this was the first time I have to use them since joining and I am under whelmed so far.

Cheaper but do all possible to avoid paying. I had my washer go out and the replacement part would've been $200. Apparently, a contract stipulation allowed them to pay $150 to replace the washer which the opted to do of course. Thought I could take the $150 and just add $50 of my own and buy the part. No! You have to provide a receipt of the washer you buy and it had to be picked from a list of washers they allow. I wish I had gone with another company!

Both times we called AFC the companies they sent out were sub-par. Both companies were pretty much going to charge us a lot of money and told us most of the bill was NOT covered by AFC. We got a second opinion on both calls and made out much cheaper paying ourselves with other companies. We felt AFC sends out newer companies that we didn't really trust. Can 't believe they have good reviews. Not feeling these home warranties are worth it.

All of our technicians are licensed bonded and secured. We do background checks and have fair market pricing on what they should charge. Since they are not employees of AFC we cannot always control what they may say. This is why we are the only company that allows you to choose your own techs! Who knows your area better than you? No one, this is why you will always have that choice with AFC. Also if we send someone out you do not like just let us know, we will make sure to not send them for repairs again. There are more extensive warranties out there. Read the contract carefully. Items that are older are not covered but newer items are even though they probably still have a warranty. This is not a full warranty on an item. There are lots of loopholes. We have another warranty company and they cover the entire unit or appliance bumper to bumper. They also will replace the item with one of equal value and not only give you the depreciation value.

i found the class of contractors sent to provide service unprofessional, disrespectful, and use the service for aggressive up selling. It took multiple people to resolve the issue and we ended up hiring our own contractor to get it done right.

This company is not America's first choice. They tried everything to not honor the contract and fulfill the work that needed to be done. It took weeks to get everything fully situated with my heat a few years ago and that was a huge inconvenience and stress factor that will always stay with me.

They talk a good game about how well everything will be covered, but when you get down to putting in for appliances to be fixed, you find out there are all kinds of fine print that disqualifies your item or part of your item from being covered.
