I have been a LOYAL NEVER MISSED A PAYMENT Clinic for 21 years. And when I need you the most YOU WALKED AWAY FROM ME. July 12, 2021 I was told a LONG LONG TIME Navy Girlfriend and Coworker passed away about 1-2 hours BEF0RE the STOVE Appliance Technician returned WITH HELP this time to remove the stove for the electrician. I was STILL crying when he answered the door. He REPORTED to AHS the stove had a short. They got the stove on the floor, after getting the top off, he LITERALLY LOOKED AT THE STOVE and THREW his hands up in SURRENDER and Said "I do NOT know how to OPEN THIS. IT CAN'T BE FIXED." BUT HE NEVER picked up his screwdriver to remove ONE SCREW to ATTEMPT to repair ANYTHING where HE SAID THE SHORT WAS. HOW Can you say there is a SHORT INSIDE but you don't open it?? In my despair, I said "OK, not big deal, AHS will send someone else as they NEVER replace, AC repairman has said several times can't be fixed, someone else from company comes. So I'm not worried about what you say. Then I went back to bed crying about my friend. I WAS STILL IN THE BED CRYING when Replacement called me about taking the $2000 Replacement check as drop in stove was out of stock in your inventory. Then we found out it was too big. AHS does NOT modify cabinets NOR countertop AND when I got my MIND half right I called to complain about him BECAUSE HAD I BEEN IN MY RIGHT MIND, he would have NEVER left my house before calling AUTHORIZATIONS to complain he made NOT ATTEMPT to fix my stove when he did NOT unscrew one screw that were HIGHLY VISIBLE, drop-in stove have NO cabinet sides. In my RIGHT MIND I call immediately to complain about substandard contractors BEFORE a receipt is written. So I called to complain AND to request a look back to see what company last came here. ALL BRANDS did and rep verified employee stilled worked for them and left a message for call to AHS about wiring skills of previous tech, AND she sent put messages to other contractors asking who worked on vintage stoves. BUT she also said we had to notify REPLACEMENT, when I asked please WAIT until they reply back. IT DID NOT MATTER THAT I WAS DISTRAUGHT 12 July, I accepted the check and that's that. I EXPLAINED RELENTLESSLY that a NEW STOVE although paid for by AHS is putting me IN DEEP DEBT Requiring NEW Upper and Lower Kitchen cabinets because 2021 ranges, freestanding, slide in and drop ins are DEEPER than my 1971 VINTAGE FRIGIDAIRE GM COMPACT30,.... she didn't care, just said YOU GOT THE CHECK and if you REPAIR the stove it CANNOT be on my contract anymore. It was like she did NOT hear nor care, that a $2000.00 check for a stove was going to put me IN DEBT OVER $20,000.00 for a new kitchen. Again you got the check and cannot repair the stove and we do not modify cabinets and countertops. EVEN AFTER I said the check is on my night stand and I will send it back FEDEX the same day it's fixed. Again NO and that we could NOT continue to look for contractors WHO COULD FIX IT. SO 21 STRAIGHT YEARS, I no longer feel SHIELDED by American Home Shield. I do NOT UNDERSTAND WHY NOTHING WAS DONE ABOUT THE FACE HE DID NOT USE A SCREWDRIVER T0 OPEN THE STOVE. HOW CAN HE SAY IT CAN'T BE REPAIRED. HE TICKET SAID CANNOT ACCESS CANNOT REPAIR. IT DID NOT SAY IRREPARABLE. CANNOT ACCESS because he NEVER UNSCREWED ONE SCREW. BUT I'M SCREWED TRYING TO FIND MONEY FOR A NEW KITCHEN AND NO STOVE FOR OVER A MONTH. TOTALLY DO NOT FEEL SHIELDED. I WAS TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF IN MY GRIEF, still dealing with Mother passing February 20, 2020 from NURSING HOME NEGLECT and then a SERIOUSLY UNEXPECTED DEATH OF A ALMOST 30 YEAR FRIENDSHIP, just hours before he walked in the door. IN MY RIGHT MIND I WOULD HAVE REPORTED HIM BEFORE HE PUT THE STOVE BACK IN THE CABINET.

I have been with AHS for more than 25-years and the customer service has continually been falling off. I have never experienced such terrible customer service with you ever. No one wants to listen to my concerns no matter how urgent they seem to be. I was afraid of the hot water heater explosion and the customer service reps. just read from what sounds like a prompt screenshot. One even hung up because she was not interested and wanted to move to her next call. (May) was what she mentioned her name was. Even corporate executives were only concerned with getting me off the phone not listening to my concerns. Now we have to pay extra fees for modifications and haul off of discarded materials. My question is, should we be purchasing insurance if in the final results we still get compromised. I remember when customer service was a key factor in company’s pride. What has happened AHS???

My plan didn't save me much. They changed/updated plans to better services and since I was already a customer I could not change my plan...which left me paying 1000 for ac freon when the new plan offered unlimited freon for free. I will be canceling my membership maybe ill try again next year.

Ive had AHS for over 16 years and i have never had a problem. Today i rate them at a ONE opened a W 7/10/21 and to this day I have called 26 times spent countless hours (33 to be exact) on hold getting lied to hung up on 7/10/21 on my toilet erupted like a volcano ** 8/11/21 still a dispute on coverage and my work order closed and denied. I have been treated with kindness along with some that just didn't send out the feeling of I CARE LET ME HELP. 7/26 Anna the customer service rep gave me a confirmation number and said the updated work order would be sent out and the plumber would be back out to fix the issue the parts are approved. I have requested to speak with a supervisor 14 times and advised they would email and i would get a return call in 3 to 5 business days (Miles, Ollie, Blake, many others. No call and I keep calling with no resolution. I will keep calling and my hope is to get a manager to listen and read the notes as to what has transpired my situation in this emergency work order issued. Once this happens i will continue to keep my coverage as this is really an amazing plan and coverage as i said before this is the first time i have ever had an issue. I will update if possible living with out a toilet is INHUMANE Hopefully after this review help is on the way

I am a current customer and my contract is active and paid up to date. My central air went out in July and it had been a month now snd it still hasn't been fixed. I have asthma and can not be in the hot humid temperatures. I explained this to customer service and supposedly they expedited my claim! This has been the worst experience I have ever had with a company who claims to be the best. I repeatedly asked to speak to a supervisor and I have yet to speak to one. I have never dealt with a company who refuses to let you speak to a supervisor, so shady! How can you a company say they are here for you when you need them and let your customer go a month in the middle of the summer without AC!!!!!

Sent a plumbing company to my home that I don' believe was experienced and caused further leaks and issues. When I looked them up on Yelp, their reviews were terrible! How could AHS sanction such a company as part of their portfolio to send to clients homes. When I mentioned this to them, they said I had to use them again to come back and fix the issue! It was an act of congress to get them to send another company back out, and if that is their protocol, it is damaging.

Response good for most repairs. Very poor when it comes to my heating system. Contact people haven't a clue about the need for repairs. Send out the wrong people. I end up having to pay out of pocket although it is covered in my contract.

It's good in some ways and it's not good in some ways, it seem like all you do is patch up when some things need to be replaced. We pay monthly and at times we don;t use it so you take our money for a year when we don't use you and the fee goes up every year, we get no awards or skipped payments

Our air conditioner went out in 111 degree weather. I called at 2:30pm. Was told they were trying to find someone to fix it. They couldn’t find anyone to come out. We then had to wait for permission to call to get someone to come out. We were told we could get someone out but we were given a long list of some we couldn’t use. We went with someone my husband was familiar with through work. We called they could come out by 11:00 Saturday. But we were suppose to call to get permission to fix it. The technician can out and it was a $130 part so my husband told him to fix it, because at 11am it was already 108 outside. So by 12 noon, our house was starting to get cool. At 4:30pm we call at message given us permission to call someone of our choice. It ended up being 113 that day. But because we didn’t wait and then call to get someone out and then call to get permission for the technician to fix it, American Home Shield paid nothing. But we were not waiting in over 110 degree weather for you to finally make a decision. I also called and asked to talk to a supervisor about the fact you weren’t going to pay. No one ever had the courtesy to call me back. Our bill only ended up costing us under $300.

I have colleagues that use you guys and bragged on you, .My experience was NOT so good, It really seemed like a scam...along with a local HVAC company, Mays Heating and Air. I have had you guys out twice and great job but not with the HVAC. I needed my AC checked out to determine the issie. The tech wanted to test my unit for leak checks. He, supposedly, inserted 9 lbs. of Freon. Five days later he came back out and said that I have a leak in my evaporator valve lines. Note: I did NOT agree to have the Freon loaded. I am actually told not that he could have used nitrous. In fact, I remember that when I went out as it was spewing out that he said..."that's just nitrous." Long story short, May's Heating and Air or McDonough charged me $1700 for a test on the system and surprisingly was NOT covered on American Home Shield. Apparently in the fine print, they only pay $10 per pound for Freon.

washing machine has been broken for five weeks. Impossible to get any supervisor on the phone. They have told me three times someone would call me back in 24-48 hours that never happened. Made claim 6/29/2021 as of 8/4/2021 still without a washer. Tech came out three times then you have to wait 7-10 days for parts then have to schedule tech to be able to come back out. I have missed 20 hours of work doing this but trust me not willing to give me back my 100 they took out my account on 6/29/2021. I even explained to them I take care of my elderly mother and have to pay for sitters to leave to wash offered no compensation and have yet to hear from a supervisor. As I am writing this was on phone with them and was just told for the fourth time someone will contact me with in 24-48 hours. This is ridiculous. I had Choice and was talked into switching BIG BIG mistake.

The experience could have been excellent however the automated system didn't capture that I had two things wrong. I called the vendor (Prime) and explained that and they told me to called AHS which I did. The person said that the updated item was added (if a recording is available of the initial conversation you can listen to it). I called the vendor and they said that because it didn't get logged initially even though I called them and AHS I had to log another call. No one called to notify me of that.

This company refuses to replace worn out items included in my policy. So, the technicians patch the item until the next inevitable break-down, within 12 months. Also, the technicians use cheap parts as to replace broken parts. It is an exacerbating experience every time I call because it forces you to deal with the automatic system. It is close to impossible to speak to a customer service representative. I miss the days when I called this company and a person spoke with me about the issue. The automatic system is a limited customer base communication tool. However, it really boosts the profit for this company. Also, it is ridiculous to pay for a service before it is rendered ($100.00 service fee). I mean, I pay the monthly without receiving any services. Despicable customer service.

Response time on are last request (Washing machine). Was quick from call to a replacement machine. Fastest resolution I ever had. Requests for air conditioner repairs leaves much to be desired.

I am very dissatisfied with the recent service that I received from both the technicians and customer service representatives at American Home Shield. Three different technicians came out to service my unit and I received three different responses to what may be wrong. This occurred over a span of two weeks while I had a leak in my AC unit dripping constantly every day. I still have the bucket in the middle of the floor catching water from the secondary drain pipe and have to dump it frequently to avoid a flood in my home. I will not be using this company again. They made me wait two weeks for something that should have been diagnosed properly in the first instance all the while knowing that I had a constant leak. Avoid this company like COVID-19.

Until 2 weeks ago I thought this was a good company. I've had this company for almost 5 years, and always thought my appliances and ac was covered. When I originally signed up my mortgage guy referred me to you, just for appliances and ac because I had bought an older home. But them my ac went out and then something on my refrigerator went out and neither were covered. It cost me $1670.00 for ac, while your company only paid $700.00. You really should modify you commercials. I am totally disappointed with your company. I was told I was covered and 4 years later find out I'm not, so what exactly was I paying for?

I'm having a terrible experience with them which is going to lead to me to cancel my policy soon. I need a new air handler in my HVAC system. The first visit, the contractor failed to diagnose the problem, he didn't do a complete inspection of the unit and I had to ask them to send someone again about 2 weeks later. The second technician diagnosed the problem and recommended replacing the air handler. Since our old one runs on R-22 and the EPA rules are phasing that out, a new or modified unit is needed. The contract doesn't allow for modifications and they told me it would be about $1,000 out of pocket. They couldn't provide me with an invoice, they said the contractor has to do that. I called, texted, and emailed the contractor for 4 days before I got a response. Their invoice provided showed $2,800 out of pocket instead of the $1,000 I was quoted. The payout option from Homeshield is $575 after the work is completed if I go with another company

extremely frustrating when you call to get an update all i could get is that the contractor Accord appliance had not sent in the report and i would have to contact them, so i did, Accord then tells me 5 days after they came to my hm to look at my washer that they had already sent it to AHS. so i waited 3 to 4 days and called again to get the same response. i asked to speak with a supervisor and was told one would ca me,that never happened. i then had to call back again and again to finally get told that the Accord said the cause of the damage was from us over loading the washer. this has never ever had a blanket nor has it been over loaded. to make things wore the tech did not even take the front panel off as im the one who opened it for the initial video call with AHS customer service. also the tech never tried to turn the washer on no did he even put his hands in the washer to inspect it. he was at my hm for less than 10minutes total. i will never ever recommend AHS to anyone!

I recently purchased a new AC unit versus replacing the compressor. I sent in my copy of the receipt for the cash out option of a unrealistic $729 on July 2nd and was informed a check would be sent within 14 days after receiving the receipt. I received an email from AHS saying my email was received on July 2nd. On July 26th I contacted AHS to find out where the cash out check was to be told they didn't receive a copy of the receipt and I would need to send it in again. This is rediculous considering I pay my $125 deductible immediately before I can get service.

It took months to get a response on appliance repair. Do NOT get the appliance coverage if you think they will get the issue resolved in 30 days. They try to find loopholes NOT to cover items. I was forced to pay for invoices where work was NOT done because the item was NOT covered.

Terrible- sent a very bad plumber to my home to fux hot water tank and 10 days later, we still do t have any hot water. The ci tractor AHS sent filled our home with propane and we had remove ourselves and children from the home. Needless to say the plumber aent had no exerience working with a propane water heater. i called AHS to request they send someone else put that wss not a threat to our safety and they refused to and said we wouls have to pay a penalty if we did not accept their contractor We ended up hiring Frank Gay Plumbing and they cane out and diagnosed the problem and replaced our 16 year old hot water tank with a new one. It coat us $2000 but we are alive. I called AHS to see if they would cover the new tank ans they said they would submit a request. No word back from them.

Put in a claim for AC repair in early June. It’s now almost the end of July and this has not been resolved. The contractor was prompt and submitted the report. This has been one of the hottest summers and every time I call back I’m told they have 24-48 hours to resolve but this has been over a month. I’m also placed on hold for long wait times of 30 minutes then told there’s no manager available to speak with me and they will contact me once a solution has been obtained. I’ve been a customer for many years with little no claims. I pay my bill on time every month and this is the service received for being a loyal customer.

I use to recommend AHSAND SAY THEY WERE so good and gets you stuff fixed, now I had 2 items that were not working one was my washer & now my AC, my washer the guy came back 2x and still does same I called to get repaired and for my AC 3 AC companies that AHS has sent out says my unit needs to be replaced and it was denied so we had them get another one out for 2nd opinion and same outcome, now waiting on what they are going to do …

I purchased an American home shield warranty in hopes that I wouldn’t need to worry about surprises with home repairs however after my warranty heater exploded I called to make a claim after waiting for almost two weeks without water in water in my home a broke down a paid a company to replace it for my I was given no update last to what was going on promised over a dozen times someone would call me back as the call center workers in India have no clue what’s going on. By far the worst I’ve ever been treated and th le biggest waste of time and money. I don’t believe that anyone that’s posted a good review about this company are real people.

A water pipe burst in the attic somewhere in June. Unfortunately, we found about it just a couple of hours later because of the water stains on a ceiling and the adjacent wall in one of the bedrooms. We called the AHS right away and the first available technician came in two days. In the meantime, we had to keep the water turned off in our whole house to limit the additional damage to our interior. Additionally, we've collected the spilled water when the pressure was on (for our family bathroom needs). The technician came, fixed the pipe, but nothing else was fixed by AHS. AHS just closed the case after that. No additional help was offeref to fix the ceiling and walls damaged. When we reported the issue, we even checked the "with additional damage" option. But AHS never covered the additional costs of $750 for wall and ceiling fixes with the whole room painting costs. That is not something anyone would expect when the installation under warranty has caused damage. Just fixing the burst pipe was just a minor part in this incident and it was graciously covered by $75 fee for the technician coming over.

Last week a plumber did a good repair and on a bathroom shower faucet. He had to cut a hole in the wall to get to a pipe. The hole is still there. American home shield said they were going to send a person to patch the drywall. We haven't seen or heard from any repair person yet. HELP.
