Don’t get Vivint they will ruin your credit. They take out payments that your unaware of. The customer service is so messed up that you get a different answer all the time. I spoke a manager about an issue on my panel and he didn’t know how to fix it. How can you sell a product that you don’t know anything about?

Vivint is a complete joke! First they trap you with a 5 year contract, and their system and service is terrible! The cameras go offline all the time , the doorbell works when it wants to, and we always have a hard time controlling our thermostat. Do yourself a favor and just go to Best Buy and install a security system yourself!

Stuck in a 4 year contract at $76 a month. It freezes up more then a little bit. I can’t wait for this contract to end. It constantly reboots itself so you can’t turn off the alarm unless your app is handy. I feel like we are being ripped off!

Worst company ever! They lied about pretty much everything. They said their equipment is under lifetime warranty. When new equipment version comes they’ll replace it for free. And also when you move address, they’ll move your equipment for free. Well guess what... they are legal scammers.

This company is a rip off!!! I sign up for 24 month contract and they automatically renew it for 48 and submit to collections. I’ve been threatened by this company for law suit if I don’t pay the additional 24 months. Don’t use them they are aweful

Have had nothing but problems with their equipment. If you complain in the first month they pretend to help Equipment is faulty, customer service is friendly but useless. Do yourself a favor and go with a different company unless you like to waste money on crap items

Bad service & contract you can not get out of . Cameras do not work most of the time. They increase prices and do not let you leave the contract without trying to charge you remainder of your contract . You wait on hold forever and no one can do anything for you . Its like calling a cable company.

Horrible... was promised that all my cameras would be hardwired and they never were. Also tech came out and did cameras for me at my business and ripped me off for over 4k! Tried speaking with VIVINT and they refused to do anything.! Now they have turned my account over to collection company! not cool at all!

Worst decision I ever made having a vivint system put in my home! Nothing but issues after 2 weeks ! Called to cancel and now I need to pay $2k in equipment fees which are junk and I was under the impression I was renting the equipment ! Scam artests with there hidden 2 day camcelation period !

I bought my a year ago and I’m not happy with mine either. They lied to about how much it costs. I’m paying $50. For the monitoring and another $10.00 a month for 5 yrs All I got was the ring, monitor ,sensors on the doors.They gave me a smoke detector but never came back to put it up. DON’T BUY FROM THEM.

Was a subscriber and had the system ( bad customer service) and sold my home and notified the company and new home owners assumed system and I was still charged and billed even when the new owners assumed and was told by customer service I was good. Terrible company- be very careful- deceptive practices!!

Would award less than a star if I could. I'm paying a whopping $69.99 a month. I can't cancel due to contract. The young salesman said I could cancel if I was moving. Not true! I would need to pay well over $700 to ditch them. The cameras never pick anything up. This is the biggest waste of money imaginable. I'm full of regret.

We had car damage last night. The camera only got a 20 seond feed. It did not record an additional clip as the damage was done. They said I need a continous recorder.. Another 250.00 Forget about that. Damage done. If we need a Tech it takes 2-3 weeks to get one. Will not recommend this company EVER!

The thing with vivint is that it will not record when you need it to record. I have several stuff stolen off my porch in front of the camera and it didn't record at all. I'm still paying vivint and still have problem with them and because of the contract I can't cancel it. And I'll keep sending reviews if I need too.

I was lied to by the representative. He did not tell me the contract was for five years. This is the worst security system ever. I have devices that don’t work and I have to pay for a technician to come out. I am so unhappy with this service. I pay over hundred dollars a month. Terrible!

I have a faulty smartdrive and was told two weeks ago they were shipping a replacement. Call back again today because it hasnt arrived and i ger nothing but a run around and they refuse to give me contact information for a manager. I think a class action lawsuit it justified.

These people have come by a number of times over the years. They employ fear tactics (telling us that if we don't get their service, someone will break down our door). They also lied when they told us that the local police recommended them after crime increased in our area (the police told us that they never said that).

The day that they came to install the system was a nightmare put holes in my wall they give you three days to cancel well it took a week for alarms to go off false alarms at that panel was freezing up for days they told me if I wasn't help I wouldn't have to buy the system for 1,500 since the three days have passed never again

HORRIBLE customer service! They no-showed for their appointment. They attempted to say it was scheduled for the following day. When I confronted them with a voicemail they left confirming the Tuesday appointment they suddenly found documentation of the appointment. They offered no apology and no fix.

Pains me to pay for a service that does not work. they have a chart that tells them what can be replaced, I asked for a new system was told they need to go by the chart. 1 star only becauae I cant give 0. Equipment not working multiple issues. Then we canceled service and they continued to charge us for 6 months despite a formal written cancellation on file. We were reimbursed the money and they charged us again. Hoping I was able to stop them from charging us finally.

System almost never works or operates on such a delay that it’s useless. So many false alarms due to system malfunction. Had the doorbell camera stolen and the system didn’t even register any motion, report the equipment missing, or record anything. If it can’t keep itself safe, it can’t keep your home safe.

Billing can't keep their wires straight. Draft this month and then skip two, then want to pull three months at a time. Customer service makes agreements that are never honored Tried to cancel service and they require a total buyout of the rest of the contract. Would never recommend this company to anyone.

Hands down the worst and most under trained customer service I've ever dealt with. I was simply trying to take over an existing system that was in the house i bought. The team at vivint made is so drawn out and difficult, that I said **ck it, I'd rather get robbed than deal with this half as* outfit. Complete joke of a company.

Pushy sales person said they were installing systems for free. I asked if there were monthly fees and was told no. Total lies. After 45 minute pitch, sales guy dropped $99 install and $86/month for 60 months which is over $5,000. I said no, but pushy liar wouldn't leave. They better never set foot on my property again.

When my motion sensor went out they came in and just cut out all of my system and installed they wireless and told me my power supply was bad, I had checked it with my O Scope and there was nothing wrong with my system, I ask the Tech what experience he had in Electronics and he said none.

My main panel stopped working so they replaced it with one that doesn't communicate with my secondary panel. Told me that the panel that I need is in Beta with no scheduled release date. My system is useless. Customer service blames me for requesting a new panel. Never go with Vivint.

Temperatures are reaching near 100 degrees after 10pm and the thermostat that they installed quits working, but it will be two days before they can get someone out here to service it? They showed up at my home at 10pm to sell this crap and were here until after midnight installing it, but they can't provide service due to the late hour.

My parents sold their home 2 years ago after being with vivint for 20 years. they have presented vivint with HUD statement showing the home as sold and now after 2 years Vivint is still drafting funds From their bank account . My mother has since died, and the fret and pain of Vivint contributed.

This review is not meant to harm Vivint but to enlighten them on some of their areas in GA. The salesperson was great. The installer was awesome. I have a problem with the customer service and support when the equipment has a fault. If many changes are made I may consider using their services again

Insulation was quick, easy and professional. The key pad was intuitive and easy to use. Monitor services were comprehensive but a tad bit expensive.
