I purchased the Ring Doorbell late last year. I really love the doorbell and have had no issues with the device. We had to purchase the ring yearly service to get the most out of the device. I was hoping to only use the device without a paid service. Overall, I am very happy with our purchase and would purchase additional ring devices for our home.

Every ring camera that we've purchased has had to be replaced within months. Some cameras 2-3 times so far. Talking to the Indian customer service people is just awful. They will ask a question and just continue talking for another minute or two never giving you a chance to just answer. They talk and talk and talk and talk. I'm on the call with them for over an hour each time for something that could have been discussed in 15 minutes. I wish I'd NEVER purchased the alarm system and all of the cameras. It just sucks.

I like how reliable their security system is , gives me total control over the house. This company Vivint has provided me with advanced features which i absolutely needed like hd cameras , motion sensors that works execellently and also includes smart locks. They also provided detailed guides on how to operate and manage security system easily.

I am looking to replace my current alarm and camera system because they can be a bit flaky. I saw an ad for Vivint and starting poking around the site, filled out the form for an "instant" quote and the phone calls began. The outbound sales team is RUDE. If you say it's not a good time they hang up before you even get the last word out. Don't even ask if there is a better time to call. They call 3-4 times per day, all different sales people and all with the same hang up and move on attitude. I would never do business with a company that treats potential customers like a waste of time.
The Final Word
Ring and Vivint are both good companies, but the overall best appears to be Vivint if you are looking for professional 3rd party monitoring when you're on vacation or away from your home. That said, it's our pleasure to give you accurate, up-to-date, and relevant information and it's up to you to choose the company that best matches your situation and needs.
