OMG I spent 90 minutes on this call and the girl was so apologic. It wasn't her fault but she tried everything to help me with my problem. In the end she decided it was a faulty sensor and put in an order for a new one.

I’m unhappy with Brinks! My control panel was down for a month. I was made to work a total of 4 hours to set up the new control panel. I went on vacation and wasn’t able to use my alarm. When I called Brinks for a credit, the least Brinks can do, they said they don’t offer credits for down time.

I like how reliable their security system is , gives me total control over the house. This company Vivint has provided me with advanced features which i absolutely needed like hd cameras , motion sensors that works execellently and also includes smart locks. They also provided detailed guides on how to operate and manage security system easily.

Canceling service from Vivint is a NIGHTMARE!! It took me over an hour to accomplish it. The first 3 calls no one answered. I then found a different phone number and finally got someone. I was asked a ton of questions then they transferred me to someone who asked the same questions and, believe it or not, I was transferred again!! And (no surprise) I was asked the same questions. I guess me saying “I want to cancel service” is too confusing for them. HORRIBLE SHADY COMPANY!
The Final Word
Brinks and Vivint are both good companies, but the overall best appears to be Vivint with more home automation and better features. That said, it's our pleasure to give you accurate, up-to-date, and relevant information and it's up to you to choose the company that best matches your situation and needs.
