I started in may with the program. I worked so hard before to get my credit card score up I. Three months in the program and it's dropped 125 points. I have an issue with one bill collector and I called client services and was told to keep at it with the program! I am! But it is stressful!! Going to keep on it because I can see the savings on each agreement with creditors.

a little slower than expected but proceeding are fair i guess I thought settlements would have been more then one at a time then the fee's for the first settlement are high could have used the fee to settle a smaller debt oh well it is what it is hopefully it picks up soon

The information as it was given to me was so redundant that it confused me. My biggest concern was that at the onset it was detailed to me that the process would take 12 to 24 months. I heard this over and over and over again. Then when I committed to the service it changed to 44 months! All I wanted was the truth from the beginning. This one fact made the whole experience terrible. I do not like marketing and sales ploys to get me to buy a service or product. Because debt relief was needed, I committed to this in spite of the above mentioned example. Don't mislead me, don't lie to me and do not misrepresent the truth!

In the initial conversation Dana did not categorically state that the fee that Freedom Debt relief takes is 25% of the original debt. All that is stated is that "our fee is built into the amount you pay monthly, so their is no extra payment." So to get debt free you are paying 75% of the debt, not the 50% for which they settle. It is still better than having to pay 100% of the debt but the fee seems EXORBITANT. I only became aware of this when I asked the reason that the debts were not settled in full if I could clearly see that I had accumulated enough money to pay the settlement offer in full. I have settled 2 of the 6 accounts that I originally enrolled in the program myself and working to do so with the rest of them.

nasty bunch of people at least the ones which I have had to interact with........all very polite, but it ends there........they refuse to reply to feed back mail or do not care to reply, months go by that you pay them a huge percentage of your monthly income, but YOU did sign up for that is there position......when you are attempting to re-arrange your monthly payment to FDR trying to get a dollar about, you know, something a little lower........there position you signed up for this and now it is what it is.........if you are not satisfied then cancel/terminate your deal with them.......and with that you may or may not receive your thousands of dollars which you faithfully put into your dedicated account to pay off your bills........they take it all in and thus far never pay any out..........or for that matter never so much as contacted your creditors with the information that FDR will be to go to company to get them a fair and reasonable timely settlement ...........zip, nada, nothing, and because FDR refused to, or simply did not contact my creditors, the amount origionally owed to them may have increased 25-30 percent with the late fees and penatlys which they have added, not to mention that my credit score in 6-7 months went from 800 to 550.........at the moment I could not buy a taco on credit......and the credit I did have, was terminated by them........and thus thanks to me getting myself into this situation, yea like I deserved this heart attack, or my HVAC at my home was destroyed by normal wear and tear and age, and the un insured driver sans license to legally drive smashed in my a truck stopped at a red light, bla bla bla my problems, which I attempted to get a reverse mortgage on my home, but no help there either, my place is valued at less than $50 thousand which is the minimum, and so ....... enter FDR taking over my problems and then months of them providing no leadership or communication with my creditors.......or with me...........maybe I will get my money returned and maybe I wont............FDR has got me at a huge disadvantage at the moment.........

Sounded great, but not as promised. Great salesman, but disappeared after FINALLY (way longer then expected) another department settled my debt. One company filed against us, which he said "never hsppens", and we were threatened to have to appear in court. Thank GOD they work with a law firm, and I recommend you pay the $12 or so a month with them. I settled 2 cards myself, and they took the savings credit! They tell you they start working on your account right away, but truth is, you have to start putting your bimonthly huge payments into a trust account. Then, they have to wait months for you to first, fall very delinquent on every account, so like a minimum of 3 to 6 months, and then, they tell you when you ask why they have not settled anything yet, that you do not have enough in your trust account for them to settle some of the larger accounts! In the end they offer you a Consolplus loan, "if you qualify, " meaning I guess none of your auto drafts were returned. Catch is its at like 22% and they t we ll you it wipes them sll out at once and speeds the process. Worst part, I was told they'd tell me how to fix my credit report to accurately show the accounts were settled, so paid In full. Nobody could answer that after it was all done. Then my eager to help salesman never returned another email. Biggest regret ever. I have talked to others since then, and should've contacted creditors myself, or used another company. TERRIBLE, more stressful than original bills. Why try money back after its all been done, your credit is almost 200 points lower, and you wouldn't be able to pay agreed settlements without them? Where Do You Go then???

I signed up with Freedom Debt Relief a month ago.I did what they said when the welcome package came.I sent my creditors the page changing my phone number and e-mail to theirs.But instead of my creditors calling,texting or e-mailing FDR.I continued to get calls,texts and e-mails from my creditors.All my creditors have told me they will not work with FDR.When I notified FDR they tell me they do work them.Since signing up with FDR the calls etc. from my creditors have gotten worse.I talked to FDR yesterday 3 times and got the same bs from them,The last person I talked to suggested I change my phone number and e-mail to stop them from contacting me.They told me it could take 4 to 6 months for them to negotiate with my creditors.I asked why it would take them that long,they couldn't tell me.I asked them why if I went to a bankruptcy lawyer or Credit Counseling of Virginia they could stop my creditors from contacting me.Again all I got was they negotiate with my creditors.They are a rip off do not trust them.

Not sure why and the one that was - was not reported as settled as agreed to the Credit Bureau... Hoping the next months things start to happen. One of the worst choice I have ever made. The steps they tell you to follow to cancel, mean nothing. I cancelled within 24 hours (they give you 72 hours) of signing up, I even called the consultant that I signed up with to make sure and I was told that "it was all cancelled and handled". Then, they still drafted my bank account! I had to call twice to get actually get a refund. I speak to 5 different people and finally the last gentleman that WAS able to help me, tells me that that my agreement was never even cancelled. 8 business days after my money was taken, I received a refund, however it was not the full amount. Ridiculous!

I don't like the fact that no one person handles my case. Whenever I call I get someone different and have to start at the beginning and explain my situation before we can get to the current issue. I asked them 15 months ago to start negotiations with a particular company that was willing to cooperate but they ignored it and went with a different company. Now I am being taken to court by that company. When I call to try and deal with this situation I have to explain it all from the beginning to bring them up to speed and it gets very annoying. And they are not at all helpful in legal matters and now it's "not their problem"!

I am no longer with Freedom. I was with these people 4 months and they tried to make a settlement with one creditor. I got 2 different settlements. I tried calling these people no response and I e-mailed these people no answer. Before I cancelled with Freedom they should have made the one payment but they did not. I had to make the payment. For 4 months I paid in almost 2000.00 and I was lucky to get back some of it. I am on a fixed income and this hurt. Social security does not pay much for me to have lost this, The creditors that I talked to had not been contacted the 4 mos. I did good when I called my creditors myself. Freedom is for some people but it was not for me.

I am glad to hear there are some people that got help from this company... My experience was horrible.. I paid 939.00 per month for almost a year... I knew my unemployment would not support that much of a payment so I had asked for a lower payment and run it a little longer... They DROPPED me because I would not be successful if I could not meet that large payment. End result, they received 8900.00 from me and paid NO ONE.. I ended up with 2 judgements because they did not try to negotiate to pay anything and a few of the creditors worked with me and I ended up paying less than the discount I was promised by Freedom Debt... I was not able to get anyone to give me any information about the funds they received... So, to my knowledge they paid no one on my behalf and they are 8900.00 richer for it... I believe in Karma.... I do not recommend this company... Creditors are not the demons they want you to believe...

I have found FDR to be a reactive company. The only things they have done for me (to date) were the direct result of an action on my part, nothing proactive on their part.They are taking money from my 'escrow' account and calling it a "bank monitoring fee". Banks I've worked with have always paid me interest for my deposits, FDR uses a bank that charges me to deposit. I have yet to get a clear, concise answer from any of their phone reps. (One I had to spell their own email address to). The claim to not receive papers and emails, when I have proof they have. Based on my current situation with FDR, I'd say the biggest mistake I've ever made.
