They don't let your debtor's know that they are working with you so the debtor's continue to call, they ask for repeats of statements to be emailed or downloaded and then become confused because they have so many statements, some with different names but the same debt because it's been so long so then you are overpaying. It's quite unorganized, sadly.

Place is a joke They enrolled me into a program that I should have never been in. The salesman (who work off commission) should have advised me to go to their other program. Also I was told any deferred interest that happens during the time I’m in the program the creditors wipe it away and pay on the principal. I had a 700 plus credit score going into their program and now I’m in the 300’s. Be aware when using these guys. They have created more of a financial issue than I had before

Your debts will be held off bring negotiated because they take large fees out to settle accounts AND change the payment structure to the settlement account without letting you know and charge monthly fees to generate a “physical check” which the settlement company decided they wanted. For example. Cc1 Debt approx 2000–settled at half (1000.00) but then charged over 500.00 for their “settlement fee” depleting the dedicated acct… they only negotiate with 1 or 2 creditors at a time.. leaving the rest hanging in the balance

what I don’t like from Freedom Debt Relief is that after you’re paying the creditors and them you still have to request a payoff letter to the creditors to get it removed from the your report makes no sense to me that I have to go out of my way after paying them a pretty high fee to negotiate my the removal from my credit report 😡

Unfortunately, debt settlement doesn’t automatically remove the account from your report—it typically gets updated to show as “settled” or “paid.”

Uploading documents are a waste of time. Offers to reduce the balance owe are ignored. By the time a settlement is accepted late charges and interest for months have been applied and the settlement offer is a lot of these charges. Civil papers are served on you after documents have been uploaded. You receive no notice that they documents are being reviewed have reviewed. I would not recommend this service to anyone based on the current service.

My credit score has not improved and it’s been a year. Then after settlements were reached I was approached by a company affiliated with freedom debt relief to get a one time loan and complete the pay offs but that interest rate is outrageous and if I continue to make just the payment they set I will owe more than I even went into the program owing. This is not as glamorous as it is all made to be.

Haven’t been able to settle much of my debts and the creditors keep filing suits. I enrolled three years ago and still making slow progress. If I had to I would have not gone through this and I would have done the snowball debt repayment method. Now I’m stuck but I did liquid an investment so I’ll be debt free early next month.

This company is a complete scam and the program forced us into bankruptcy. The representative who signed up lied to us about how the program works over and over, then disappeared after saying he’d “be with us every step of the way.” When you have questions, good luck getting to talk to anyone who knows anything and isn't just reading off a script. This company stole more money from us to keep for themselves than it ever paid to our creditors and one "settlement" was for more than what we owed when we signed up. I had creditors reaching out directly to me offering me better settlements. But if you take those, FDR still gets its cut for doing NOTHING! I'll be submitting a complaint to the FTC's Bureau of Consumer Protection to try to protect other people from being swindled by its bad practices and empty promises. Record every conversation so you have proof of the lies you'll be told and consider all other options before signing up with a "debt settlement company," especially this one.

I gave the wrong checking account number at first. When I realized it, I called and told customer service, gave them the correct number, and thought we were good to go. We were not. There is a bar the client can click to make a one time payment and I would like to do that, but I don't feel confident that FDR will accept that payment.

As happy as I am, that my debt is gone, I wish there was better communication with the company. Anytime I ask a question I am brushed off. And it feels like they’re just constantly collecting my money even though they have plenty to pay my debt off.
