We apologize if the proper expectations were not set for you, Mr. Hanas. It does take time to settle the enrolled accounts. The reason being is we have to allow the monthly deposits to accumulate in your dedicated account to a negotiable amount. If we contact the creditor too soon, we may lose our opportunities to settle the account at a percentage or for less than the actual balance. Our negotiations specialists resolve nearly 44,000 creditor accounts each month. Also, our clients usually see their first settlement within the first 4 to 6 months of being enrolled in our program. Hello Carrie,

Thank you for posting your review. Freedom Debt Relief is not a nonprofit organization so we do take a fee, but not until a debt is resolved. The amount of the fee will vary depending on a client’s state of residence, total debt amount, etc. Typically, it ranges from 15% - 25% of total enrolled debt over the course of the program. For example, fees of 21% of enrolled debt in a 42 month program would work to about 6% per year annualized. This offers significant savings over other solutions, especially for those who would otherwise be making payments as agreed to their creditors at the interest rates they have when entering our program.

Our fees are covered during the initial enrollment phone call, in the language of the Agreement clients sign, and in a welcome call after the client comes aboard. Our firm doesn’t gloss over this. It should be weighed as a possible cost one will incur.
