The communication was not sufficient with creditors which drove litigation on 1 debt and almost on another. The last creditor reached out to me due to non-responsiveness from Americor. Estimates of debt settlements were not accurate and not as good as advertised. For the final debt, Americor sent thousands of dollars without receiving the agreement in writing from the creditor. Americor says I will need to contact the creditor for the agreement (even though Americor sent all the other ones) and that they cannot provide it. So now I am doing part of their job for them and left with a questionable verbal agreement at best for the final "settlement". Americor should refund me the fee associated with this debt that was not managed properly.

They are Professional used car sales men. My payments right out the gate are scheduled for the wrong day. Of course they won’t stop the payment process and change it to the correct date so I’m at bank paying for a stop payment. I have called 3 times now about this today. Told the first lady I wanted to cancel the whole thing and she hung up on me. Second guy ALLEN basically did the same thing forcing me to listen to his closing spill before transferring to a music for about five minutes before the call just dropped. Called again and spoke to a lady took 45 minutes to get someone on the phone. Three calls, 1 hour and 30 minutes total And I can only cross my fingers and hope they actually close the account. They don’t relieve anything they just simply cause you more stress. I have a feeling that the majority of their five star reviews are bot Generated.

Very pleasant to deal with during initial contact. That's because they're trying to make money off of you. Make no mistake about that. You are a cash cow to them. However, if you change your mind about the program, suddenly, the person you've been talking to will ghost you. After confirming cancelation of the program, I now get phone calls to get back on under the guise of follow-up, as well as these feedback requests.

When I spoke with the rep, I explained that my utilities were not included in my consolidation, and I could not stop their ACH automatic payments prior to their company's initial withdrawal. I asked that my consolidation payments not start until November. She said she understood, and would see what she could do. She put me on hold, then came back a bit later and said that I would be charged $49 for October and I could start regular ACH withdrawals in November. That did not happen. The 1st full payment was taken out the next day, causing the bank to pay my utilities, with over draft fees. Which is what I was trying to avoid. I wish I had put my foot down and not let the initial rep convince me that I would not find a better rate, if I waited. I was so upset after seeing my negative bank balance, that I had a cardiac episode and had to be rushed to the hospital. Just because no one listened to me, and allowed me to wait until November, when I knew I would have enough funds to cover what was not part of the consolidation.

This is the biggest bait and switch out there. I deposited $10,025 to Americor, they made $6,100 in payments, and took $3,400 in their fees and another $444 in fees to their bank. To clarify, I paid 61% in fees. This is directly from my Reliant (their holding bank) statement. In addition, Americor continuously calls you to add more to your ‘settlement” account, which I did. They waited for one of my creditors to sue me, then shrugged and told me to just pay it myself (I’m still paying that monthly by myself). They also lie about the length of the program. I was told per my deposit schedule it would be 18 months to complete the program. After 24 months, a lawsuit, and another creditor never being contacted, I cancelled. They sent the remainder of my account to a creditor under a different name than any I enrolled in the program. Find another company that doesn’t gouge you for a 61% fee.

I thought I might get a loan up to $23,000 according to the Credit9 mail I received to consolidate an existing loan. After I applied online, my phone soon rang. I started not to answer it because I really don’t like to talk to people trained to talk fast and persuasive. But I answered it. Debt consultant Jeffrey G was on the other end. I told him upfront that I was no longer interested. But he couldn’t take no for an answer. And he couldn’t have been more nicer, patient and knowledgeable of my initial request for a loan now quickly turning to a debt settlement conversation and that he was from Americor and not Credit9. Long story short I signed the contract for the program. That same evening-a Sunday-I decided to cancel my contract. I sent Jeffrey and Americor an email to do this and tell them my reason why; I didn’t want my excellent credit that I worked so hard to attain to suffer and that I could soon make it out of debt myself. Jeffrey left me an email and voicemail to give him a call the next day. Although I really didn’t believe I had to and I was busy with chores and errands after a night of working, I called him back. Still not being able to take no for an answer, he began to go on about the benefits of the program. I told him I was “busy” and said “no” as he went on . “So I can’t say anything to you?” Jeffrey G asked even after I said “I don’t want to be rude.” After he said “you’ve wasted my time “ and in the middle of him beginning to cancel my contract-I guess, I hung up on him. Obviously Jeffrey can only be kind and patient when you say yes to him. It says in their own agreement you can cancel at anytime and there are no guarantees. In addition to this, there are also looming tax implications. Personally, I broke my own rule by not checking reviews and other con’s first. And oh yeah: Get rid of Jeffrey G!! If not, retrain him! He’s like a fake best friend: He’s alright with you as long as you don’t say no to him.

I don't like that they worked on the higher balanced account 1st and all the collected money is going to that while the other accounts are just sitting with nothing happening and affecting my credit even more. After 7 months, I only have 1 settlement out of 10.

I am getting leary of the time involved to start negotiations. I have received correspondence from the creditors that have indicated that they are willing to negotiate, and I find that Americor hasn’t even attempted to start negotiations. I have been informed by Americor that they will start attempting negotiating with Care Credit and American Express sometime within the next two months. I signed up in November. Why the hold up?!
