Scam scam scam!!!!! Don’t use them you’ll regret it. Prior to Americor I had money on my credit cards and a 700 credit score. Not even 1 year into the contract and I have low 500’s credit score, I’m currently being sued by one of the credit card companies and I still have money on my credit cards. You would think that if you got sued by one of the credit card companies that Americor is supposed to be handling that they would take care of it but you are mistaken. They actually advised me to talk to a lawyer. Well I am, I’m sueing americor. If you’re considering Americor, just claim bankruptcy, it will save you a lot of headaches.

The settlement amounts of the accounts has ranged about 10-25% of the balance, which ends up being equal to the full balance, if not more, after Americor collects their settlement fee. They are completely inflexible when a need arises to change a withdrawal date to the settlement account. The only justification I have for using their service is keeping creditors at bay.

Company is above average in all that is debt resolution; albeit Americor is sorely lacking in general customer relations. Speaking for ourselves, Americor did not honor withdraw dates and thus our account went into the Red several times.

I thought that this was a great program. I appreciated the effort it took to help out but to get my payment down 40% just to charge me 30 % I feel it’s just as predatory as some loans. And then you offer after 6 months to pay off all the creditors which for me was 9-10 k, but you still pay Americor their fee which was like 4k but when I read the final amount I would have paid 25k over five years umm that’s more than I owed the original creditor no thanks

This company helps with negotiating however keeps you in debt by making small payments to creditors to keep you in the program longer to make money off the interest of the loans. When you call to inquire about specific questions you get the same questions and they say a manager is never available to help. They waited to negotiate my last card to get me to proceed with their credit9 program which did pay off the remaining 2 loans and that is when they negotiated my last card but then I was set into a new loan contract for 30 more months of lower payments so more money can be made off interest. I paid all my payments and they were paid on time. There is no excuse for 10$ payments with a 5$ bank fee per month being made to more than one creditor when I was paying 911.44/MO. I called and emailed several times to have this corrected and was given numerous excuses as to why the payment could not be increased to a more feasible number especially when paying a 5$ bank charge each time a payment is made. Will not recommend!

I made 4 attempts to call and cancel opt out. Horrible experience finally 5th attempt agent was able to complete the process.Although he said he sent an email of the acct. Closure I've yet to receive it.The sign you up process is such a breeze but to opt out seems like a process agents playing games of hanging up on you or I can't hear you game 3x's over half an hour of ph. You can understand the frustration.
