Sprint is a major provider of wireless phone and Internet products and services for individuals and businesses throughout the world and offers the latest smartphone and tablet device technology with 4G LTE data coverage in over 500 cities nationwide.
Founded in 1899 and headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas, Sprint now owns Boost Mobile, Virgin Mobile, and the Assurance brands of non-contract providers.
Though Sprint's coverage depth and breadth are not as robust as that of the top companies, its coverage is improving in certain areas. Sprint now offers especially fast 4G LTE network coverage improvements in four major U.S. metro areas in preparation for 5G speeds:
Sprint focuses heavily on serving families or groups of friends that want to go in on a phone account together. The group pricing provides an incentive to add more lines because of the discounts available.
For example, the Unlimited Basic service plan gets you your third, fourth, and fifth lines free, totaling $20/month per line, a price that is very difficult (if not impossible) to find elsewhere for what you get. The carrier claims using its Unlimited Basic multi-line plan actually gives customers a $1000 savings over their first year over certain competitors.
Sprint's three "Unlimited" plans, Unlimited Basic, Unlimited Plus, and Unlimited Premium, all include these benefits:
Unlimited Plus includes a Tidal account as well, and Unlimited Premium comes with Tidal, Lookout, and Amazon Prime.
Customers age 55+ or customers who are active military or veterans qualify for specialized Unlimited plans. Data plans for tablets, mobile hotspots, and smartwatches can be purchased, too.
New and popular Apple and Android phones and tablet options are available through Sprint. Financing rates are based on credit qualifications, but generally, you can utilize the Spring Flex 18-month lease on a new phone. Pre-owned phones are also available. If your current phone is compatible with the Sprint Network and it is unlocked, you can activate it with a new Sprint account. You do need a SIM card to activate your device.
Sprint also sells other tech product accessories:
Depending on where in the U.S. you live, Sprint's network coverage can be outstanding or poor, so potential customers should closely study Sprint's coverage map prior to signing up to avoid slower download speeds and dropped calls.
The early termination fee (the cost a consumer pays when they cancel their contract early) is something you should be aware of before signing up with Sprint. If you sign up for a 1 or 2-year contract and then decide to change carriers, you must pay a fee for each line of service you signed up with. The fee is prorated based on the length of your remaining term commitment, but depending on how many months you have remaining on your contract, you might end up paying a steep price.
Standalone hotspots and Wi-fi card plans are expensive with Sprint. The cheapest plan the carrier currently provides is $30/month for 10GB of data. There are also additional fees that can apply with the limited GB data.
We had them for many years and they are professional and very friends my family also uses them
Sprint is amazing until you need anything from customer service.Seriously they are awful. Great service. Terrible customer interactions
Sprint's review score is 48.1% lower than the average review score of the top recommended Cell Phone Providers Company
I got a phone under there phony 100 percent guarantee. Long story short. Phone has been returned. They took $1123 from a credit card that I didn’t even have linked to that account. I had used it to buy equipment. So , apparently that gave them the right to take money from it at will. Been waiting for a refund since Dec. Even though the manager proved that it was returned. I have been orimised the return four times. The service was awful or I would have kept the service. Meanwhile, I’m paying interest because they want to keep money they unlawfully stole from my credit card.
Sprint is a horrible company, over charging customers and not working with them to make mistakes they made.
I would give them a negative 10 if I could. WE switched from Verizon to Sprint.....HUGE MISTAKE. Service is awful, customer service is not in the USA unless you go to a store and they are as clueless. We couldn't get into our new account because of a mistake made at the store of purchase...that went on for over 3 weeks. They would tell us we owed them money when we had just made monthly payment, couldn't see what they were talking about . We have not been able to see any credits or what package we purchased when we were at the store. I never had drop calls ever with my IPhone with Verizon, we have brand new Iphones and the service is horrible. Clarity of conversations are terrible, if you go into a building or certain rooms you either lose service or its so jarbled you can't understand the person. I could go on and on. My family and friends do not like to call us anymore because its is a bad experience.
Very good in general but prices go up and up all the time

The company has good quality service and is cost effective.
Sprint gives good service and has a wide area of coverage.
Cost friendly for seniors. Works hard to zolve issues. Available in areas we visit.
Was with sprint for 20 months they lied to us the entire time. Sprint is a horrible company when I called to cancel my service with them they did not cancel it sent another bill. They even told me they had a record of me calling but refused to make things right. Beware if you think about getting sprint service it is not good and their customer service is horrible they will not fix a thing and they will lie to you to get money from you.
We have our whole family on sprint and it is very affordable. We have never had any issues.
Sprint has been a great option for our family and its cellular needs. They offered us consistent cell coverage, clear communications, and great phone options. They always helped us keep our billing low and fair. They even helped us keep our same phone numbers from different carriers. Their customer service department is extremely helpful.
Customer service Is lacking. Phone signal is not strong enough. Cannot take care of minor repairs in store
We changed it to Sprint to lower our bill. Unfortunately, we paid for that and terrible service. Not only was our service not what we were promised, But when we went to customer service, they were very unhelpful. We have had weeks at a time with no service while the towers were down.
They are terrible! We had a promo where they buy off out phones. And never payed our phones and now they can’t help us. They suck. The internet sucks customer service sucks. The whole company sucks!!!! I would never recommend anybody to get sprint! Terrible experience ever.
The price was right but the coverage is terrible. I live outside of Salt Lake City, I have three spots that I know I will drop calls at, and they are in the open, no hills.
I have been with Sprint for over 15 years. They used to be a definite 5 star, but they have outsourced their call centers to another country and customer service isnt great any more.
I had Sprint for a couple months and they had okay service, but it wasn't fantastic. There were very iffy areas all over the place where I was at.
Did not get great service in my area. Slow data, patchy service, and not the best prices around.
Much more honest at sprint stores than Verizon stores. Been a Sprint customer for years after leaving Verizon.
Pretty horrible cell service. Spotty coverage in most places you go to and when I’ve tried calling in to customer service they haven’t been very helpful.
Do not fall for their get more lines save more money plan was told one price in the store and charged almost 3 times as much on my bill have went to the store many times to have fixed the manager admits the bill is wrong and says it is being taken care of but for months later I am still paying over $300 a month for two phones
I hated having sprint. Service was not great and overpriced for the usage given. We switched providers.
Up the price without telling you, for me it was 40%, and when I called, they told me they were going to lower it back and refund me for the 4 months that they had been charging the higher price. In reality, they only paid me back for 1 month, and they never lowered my price back down, so now our bill is $180 for 2 phones, and we don't use much data.
We have had Sprint For over 10 years now. We get great service most places we go. Anytime I have had to contact them, customer service has been great to work with too.
I've had sprint for a couple years and I'm very happy with their service. The reception is great for calls and internet. The price for unlimited internet is great compared to other companies. The service at the store's is usually quite slow, but I've had good luck on the phone/web when needing something updated/changed.

I've been with Sprint since 2005, service is good 99% Washington Metro area the only issue is about the internet not fast as it should be in some areas, works in most areas i am, that is the only reason i do not give them 5 starts.
I've lived in Maryland for 20 years and I ve always had the same number and the same company. Each year passes the service improvements and the company's concern to improve and provide better service. Rates Are not excessive, similar to other companies, but if they bring us good benefits. I travel abroad and already at the airport I got a text telling me that I could normally use it, it's a big advantage.
I didn't have a great experience with Sprint. The coverage was spotty and I had a lot of dropped calls. I tried troubleshooting with their customer service, but could never find a solution.
2 complaints I have about Sprint: they should offer their 'deals' not only to new customers that sign up with Sprint but to their old customer that have use them already. Also their service in Mexico is terrible...I realize they have to use a local carrier but choose another one please.
Good quality cellphone company. I have had a good experience with them and will not be changing anytime soon.

Derek Mederios, thank you for your review. At Sprint we are continually striving to improve the quality of service provided to our customers. We value your customer feedback and appreciate your business. Thank you for choosing Sprint.
The service is very good, never have any problems with connection . The costumer service is very good
Sprint isn’t as good as t mobile or Verizon but they seem to get the best reception in weird places
I currently use Sprint as my carrier and haven’t had many issues. I enjoy being able to have free text and data while outside the US.
Not gonna lie my phones tends to be constantly slow when the other servers and carriers are able to have a good connection.
They will say anything to appease you then not follow through. My bill is $100 more per month than what was quoted. At first it was "a one time fee". It has NEVER gone down. Up a few times because there's other fees occasionally added. Never down. I'm willing to screw up my credit recovery plan just to get out of this contract. I loathe Sprint. I would not recommend them to anyone....maybe that girl that got pregnant with my ex on purpose to trap him. She can have sprint. Not anyone else though.
Sprint is good phone company because it has good data and the network doesn't slow down.
Sprint seems to always disappoint. The service is terrible, customer service is even worse. I guess you really get what you pay for. I would never recommend Sprint services to anyone.
Customer service has been terrible and I get charge for things that I’ve never signed up for and even from different cities. I am constantly trying to fix my plan because they change it in the computer all the time.
My family had been with sprint for years and multiple times, they raised our family plan without a notice. They only notice was our bill. We’ve been very loyal and haven’t felt that in return. I also got a lot more unknown phone calls and similar annoyances when I was with sprint.
This company is the worst of all carriers..even the cheapest plans and companies are better. They are the most deceiving in all categories. Starting with its store sales people.the signal is terrible and the plans are way too expensive for the services it offers.i hate sprint.if it wasn't for my credit, I drop them in a heartbeat.i can't wait to go back to metro paying $30 a month. It was way better than sprint.
Very hard to get a hold of someone. Feel like I have to jump through hoops to get the help I need. Hate the coverage. Always have calls dropped.
Horrible customer service! I have the Sprint flex lease and decided to upgrade both my iPhone 8’s to iPhone 11 pros to do this Sprints own website said I needed to “pay this amount ($50.66) to upgrade today”. I paid $50.66 twice to upgrade each phone, then the following month I paid the upgrade $30 fees and the taxes. The month after that (2 months after turning in my old phones and having my new phones sprint sends me my next bill for over $400 because they are charging me for 2 more month of my iPhone 8’s that I already paid for at the time I upgraded. I called Sprint and got nothing but random answers that made no sense first it was because I didn’t pay for the 2 months left on my lease to upgrade after pointing out the $50.66 I HAD to pay because their web site makes you pay the lease before upgrade they changed their reasoning to taxes because I’m in California I then pointed out I already paid all the taxes on my last bill so they said it was my upgrade fees so told them to again check my last Bill because I paid that too. At this point they had zero answers to the extra $100 they are charging me except to just “assure me” they bill was correct with absolutely no answer for what the $100 plus extra charge was for. I will NEVER recommend or stay with Sprint, once my lease is up I’m gone to any other company.
Just recently switched to Sprint! For the amount of data and options the price is great! And the promotion at the time was amazon prime and Hulu for free! Brilliant!
Sprint is horrible! No connection anywhere. T-mobile here I come 👍🏽
Claims to have “the best” LTE service but my phone always ends up without service in rural areas :( other than that Sprint is amazing!
I have had sprint for about six years and my partner for more than 12. We like the international coverage it gives us as well as within the continental US. I also feel like it is a solid competitor with the top provider in the area and rarely have any dropped calls so I’m pretty happy with the service.
I signed up with sprint in Feb of 2019 because I wanted unlimited service at what was supposed to be significantly less than I was paying for 4G with 2 phones on Verizon. Ive had to return my s10+ twice because of connection issues. Btw, their service really is bad, Connection is usually non existent no matter where I am. Ive had to sit on the phone with sprint for at least an hour at least once a month because of either connection issues or billing issues. Each month since exchanging my phone, my bill keeps going up. I am now paying way more than I was with V. Ive also been into several stores to resolve issues, Each person in store and on phone assures me they know what theyre doing and I won't have any problems after this call. They are always wrong. I have screamed and cried to try and get things resolved. They just can't do it. They are all incompetent. If I were rich and didnt mind losing $1000 I would pay for phones and get out. Unfortunately I have more than a year to still go. I hate them so much..The worst I've ever dealt with, and I'm 52, so I've been around a while. Did I mention how much I hate them? Once I'm done with Sprint I will be going back to V. I had them for about 15 yrs and rarely if at all had a problem. I just think they are really expensive. Guess its worth it, I can't take this aggravation with Sprint much longer. I would love to just drop off all phones tell them to cancel me and let them try and sue for what they think I owe them. That's how bad it is. NEVER NEVER NEVER go with Sprint. Now that I’ve done what I was told to do, the executive agent is on extended leave and I can’t get anyone to help me with this now. Still showing balance of over $1100, it should be 0. Just so so awful.
I have been a faithful customer of Sprint for over four years now. I have five lines, a tablet, and an Apple Watch on my plan. I pay roughly $660 per month for all my services. With that being said, I drop roughly 5-10 calls per day in southern Michigan and my new home has zero cell service. After two years of going round and round with Sprint I am finally looking for a new carrier. They promised me an air rave (signal booster) for my house but have never followed through. I have spoke with roughly 10 different representatives over the past two years and no one can resolve my issues. I am frustrated with my service and highly warn others who live in rural areas to steer clear from sprint.
RUN BY MONKEYS I decided to leave my carrier of 5 yrs to try Sprint's new deals. I placed an order, but because the agent made a mistake i had to place a second order. A couple of days pass and then i decide to check on my order. A sprint agent, mistakenly, tells me that none of my orders have been sent. after 3 tries he tells me that he made a mistake and on the 4th try he confirms that one of my orders has been shipped but that the 2nd one hasnt even been placed for shipping. The agent, on his own will cancels my 2nd order, i then asked to speak to a superior, the superior starts up by saying i cancelled my own order, takes his sweet long time to answer me when he feels like, provides no help, no answer, no solution. I couldnt proceed with such irrationality. I had already made my decision to cancel everything. But hrs later, i decided to give it a last chance, the new agent tells me that he can reactivate the order and that instead of shipping it out i can just pick up at store. I asked him if i would need anything to be able to just show up and pick up a device from a store without having any issues. the agent said that i wouldnt, since he would put everything in the system. But before ending conversation, i asked him to send me an email confirming such info, he said i would get the email after the chat,.... surprise, i didnt. I show up to the store next day trying to claim the device, and i was told that such thing is not possible and that those agents online were lying to my face and that my order actually showed flagged. And the most ridiculous part, they dont send you an email or no sort of notification whatsoever to let you know the status of your order after you have placed it and paid for it. They will let you deal with their horrifying mistakesThey asked me for verification for what i was saying, but of course, i didnt have it. im cancelling everything and this was to be my 1st ever time trying sprint, no sprint assures me, why i should keep staying away from them. Sprint is run by monkeys!
