I never had to file a claim with geico, but I always enjoyed their customer service. I will say that i am no longer with the company because their rates were twice as expensive as the other companies in the area. So I would shop around before buying insurance from them.

Geico has been a real pain. We got a brand new car and have pretty good insurance on it. Unfortunately the windshield has been shattered twice in a couple of months from bad weather or a semi truck kicking up rocks. We've been super disappointed with all of the hoops we've had to jump thru to get this fixed and how high the deductible is. We paid it all and then when it broke again we had to pay the full deductible again. Apparently it's per claim.

I tried to sign up for Geico after buying my new car because I needed car insurance ASAP. I thought I would be able to get it in under 15 minutes since that is their slogan, but after completing allllll of the paperwork to sign up online, I got sent a message that I was not granted insurance and I would need to fill out a paper application that would be sent to me in a week. What the, a whole week for a PAPER application? What year is it? I don’t have time for that! So much for “15 minutes could save you 15% or more on car insurance”. So then I signed up for State Farm and it took me all of 20 minutes. And it was cheaper than the quote geico gave me.

Geico was quick to call following an accident and was ready to submit the paperwork for paperwork. I have not had them personally but they were relatively easy to deal with when I was in an accident with their customers. I would say be prepared to answer questions quickly because they will try to pay you the lowest amount as fast as possible.

Geico raised my household insurance 500% because of a no fault claim made against a family member. Geico is the worst place I have ever had insurance- they treated me as a criminal with discrimination (a very obvious factor) - after I was put on hold two times for 25 min. I called Progressive and had full coverage in 7 min and no hassle.

Had accident on 2/20 which was not my fault and the other driver admitted to police it was his fault. I filed the accident on the other drivers insurance which is Geico. Upon review Geico stated that 70% was his fault and 30% was mine bc of the State of Alabama. How can that be if he was at fault 100%. Not a good insurance company to go with.

Was in a motorcycle accident 3 weeks ago still nobody has contacted me about the bike or anything for that matter try calling adjusters back straight to voicemail no call back but they can email. I do not recommend anyone to Geico. Terrible customer service. I’ll be switching ASAP
