When asked by a customer whether or not buying a timeshare is a worthwhile investment, Linx Legal’s answer is almost always no. This may seem counterintuitive to its business model since it is in the timeshare industry, but a large part of its job is to educate consumers. The sad truth is that people still continue to purchase timeshares without full consideration of the risks, opportunities, costs, and usefulness of the contract, and therefore still need Linx Legal’s help in getting out of timeshares.

Linx Legal is dedicated to helping clients alleviate timeshare debt. The company is not a law firm, yet does use a select few attorneys when necessary. Due to the company’s knowledge and experience, attorneys are mostly not needed; but if it does become essential for legal assistance, Linx Legal will pay the attorney’s fees. The goal at Linx Legal is to help clients save money, so services are provided with this in mind.

Linx Legal has few reviews over numerous sites, and the feedback is a mix of negative and positive. Linx Legal started in 2009, but it wasn’t until 2017 that the company received its rating from the BBB. Normally, customer-facing businesses receive ratings and recognition sooner.

Picks and Chooses Clients

Linx Legal does not accept every request for service. The company provides an assessment to evaluate a claim and then proceeds if there's a consensus that it is a viable option. Only choosing clients the company knows it's able to help may be interpreted as unfair. An experienced organization should be able to take any case and try to solve it.

Linx Legal's website does not give the option of a live chat with a representative. This is not as convenient as many other competitors' websites. They not only helped me get out of my timeshare, but they are going above and beyond to try and re-coop some of the money lost. Shout out to Blake D for keeping us up to date on everything. Getting out of a timeshare can be a very lengthy and time consuming process, but it’s well worth it in the end. Blake always checked in on us even if it felt like there was no traction. We decided to use Linx to unravel our HGVC timeshare mess. We started the process in Sept 2023 with Matt H. as our contact. Although we went months without hearing from HGVC or Matt, anytime I had a question he was very quick to respond. We were finally released out of the timeshare in Oct 2024. In the end we saved about $25k and cut our ties with Hilton which was priceless!

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the exceptional service I received from Mr. Matt H. at Linx Legal, Inc. Mr. H. was a beacon of hope for me when my options appeared limited, and the likelihood of a satisfactory resolution to breaking my vacation timeshare contract was nigh or impossible. After trying for almost a year alone, I hired Mr. Matt H. to intercede in December 2023. Over the next ten months, Mr. H. communicated frequently to request supporting documentation, double-check record accuracy, offer words of encouragement on progress, and provide a general status update. After searching high and low for assistance with a supposedly dream vacation which ended up being "a timeshare" I came across a website that had excellent reviews for helping with my type issue. I had no upfront money and was connected to a company that would assist and I could make payments. I was introduced to my rep the next day and Kyle Sullivan has been working my case for almost a year. Initially, he explained to me that it would take some time but assured me he was dedicated to the task. Yes, I got a little anxious a few times because that's my nature. We entered a timeshare agreement in 2019 with the intention of using it for visiting Washington, DC. It was for the even number years. We could not use it in 2020 due to Covid and then my wife developed a tumor in her inner ear which destroyed her sense of balance and made it difficult for her to walk. With no cure for the problem, we decided to get in touch with the timeshare company, explain what had happened and ask them to cancel our contract. When they would not, we went online and found Linx Legal. Our agent Matt explained the process to us and let us know that it would take some time, but we would eventually get the contract cancelled. It took longer than we had hoped, but the contract was cancelled and our credit score which had dropped 18 points went up 35 points! We are thankful to Matt and Linx for helping us when it seemed that the harassing calls from the timeshare company would never end. It is all over!!

My husband and I attempted to exit our timeshare from Wyndham independently for over two years but went nowhere. Wyndham would not work with us and even referred us to several fraudulent companies. We heard about and subsequently hired Linx Legal, Inc. The rates were reasonable, and even though they told us upfront that it may take a year or more to get results, within six months, we were FREE of our debt at Wyndham with no credit penalties. From the moment we started making our no-interest payments to Linx, we stopped making payments to Wyndham. So, we swapped where our payments were going. We worked with Kyle Sullivan and were very satisfied with his communication and the Linx process. We highly recommend this company to anyone who wants to exit your timeshare. We provided documents to prove that Wyndham pressured us into buying, fabricated benefits, and did not deliver on their contract. I was initially hesitant, fearing another scam agency, but I am so glad I took the risk. They removed over 10K of debt and lifetime HOA fees for us.

After 4 years, Linx Legal was able to help me get out of two time shares and give me resources to repair the damage the time shares inflicted on my credit reports as they refused to let me go. It’s costly to have and remove timeshares from your life. I do not recommend having timeshares, unless you enjoy being held hostage financially.

I highly recommend Linx Legal if you are unlucky enough to get roped into buying a timeshare - like I was. I was lied to, misled and scammed by the timeshare people - even after the sale. The one time I used the timeshare, the accommodations were atrocious! Worse than any hotel I have stayed at, certainly nothing like they show at the sales presentations. Matt H, my assigned agent, was with me every step of the process. He was very patient when I got frustrated, calmly answering all my questions and assuring me that, although it seemed to be going nowhere, things were moving along, and soon I would become timeshare-free!!!! He was spot on!!!! I am seeing the "light at the end of the tunnel" and it is not a train! Stephanie U. and Linx Legal were such at tremendous help to us. We had been duped into signing up for a timeshare while on vacation. Wyndham Vacations promised us the moon. But they were unable to deliver. They also refused to cancel our contract or refund our money. We were stuck paying for a worthless (to us) timeshare and even though we never even used it to go anywhere. We felt stupid, powerless and ashamed. But Linx Legal changed all that.
