I enrolled in Tax community last Friday. The “investigation fee” was $295. Well, I fell for it. All they did was call the IRS and get my taxes owed amount and the years I didn’t file. They literally charged me $295 for something I could have taken 45 minutes to do myself. This place is a scam.

However, our investigation fee and system literally saves taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars each year by having us do the due diligence of verifying everything on a taxpayers behalf. Oftentimes our investigations will uncover issues the taxpayer did not know about because we know what questions to ask and how to investigate deeper than just debt amounts owed or whether there are missing tax returns. Your investigation came out well comparatively speaking, however, claiming we are a scam is completely incorrect and false. We are sorry you feel the way you do. It was explained to you on your first call that there was a fee to do an investigation. For which we contact the IRS on your behalf to get the full story on your situation. Once we have that, our licensed practitioners put together a plan for resolving your issue that best suits you, based upon the information you provided to us.

At that point we review our proposed plan with you and you can choose to move forward with the second phase and have us resolve your tax issues. In your case you chose not to move forward, which is perfectly fine, it's your prerogative. The initial fee, as you were informed, was to perform the investigation which we did complete and provided our findings and resolution options. We did not steal any money and would never do that to anyone. We will be reaching out to you to discuss this further.

No waste your money. They charge $500 to give you the same information that you can have on the irs web page. Then they told you that they can fix the debt that you have for $2.000 or more, and the only thing they do is to talk to the IRS to avoid the penalty, you can do that with a tax accountant for $200. You’re welcome!
