Could provide monthly updates so we THE CUSTOMERS are not left in the dark Should have a way to video chat with clients Let's see if they how it goes. Update: after I made this review contact improved and my case was resolved I'm paying the state what I can afford and my IRS is uncollectible at the moment

I was contracted with Anthem Tax to help me with my tax debt however, after several months, I had multiple family issues (Covid-related) that caused me great financial and personal hardship. My husband and I owed money to the IRS and could not decide what our next steps were before they garnished our wages or put a levy on our property, so we reached out to Anthem Tax Services and spoke with Sam B. After speaking with him, he immediately reviewed our financial situation and gave us the hard truth...that IRS does not allow all of our expenses (Toys) to be part of their decision on whether to reduce our total due to them. He stated their may be options for us, but asked that he participate in a phone call with the IRS directly to help us determine how much we actually owe so he can assist us in determining our options. We scheduled the call for the very next day. After my husband and I spoke that evening, we decided to refinance the house to get rid of the debt now and begin to move on with our lives without the stress of IRS looming over us. I sincerely thank Sam for his honesty and professionalism in making my husband and I see what we already knew, but needed to hear from a professional. Sam also followed up with us and let us know to reach back out to him if we have any more concerns.

Total ripoff. After you pay them they disappear. After you ask for a refund of $3200 after 3 years of deeper in debt and looking like a schmuck to the IRS, they reappeared, begged for another chance, they they lied to the BBB and denied we were clients. After the BBB closed our complaint because of that we are unable to get any response from Anthem Tax. I was asked to give positive reviews of their Customer Service person after she talked me into staying and not getting the refund in May. We have been totally ghosted by them since June.

I would like to thank the consultant that assisted me with with my son's tax problem. The consultant was knowledgable and was able to answer every question that i asked and I had many. On our initial conversation he informed me that if he can't help us, he would let us know and provide suggestions. That's exactly what he did. 2.5 stars. Took 2 years to resolve. Wasted 5,000 to have anthem do the same thing I could have done. Have a lein on my home . Anthem was not even able get the late fees removed. I'd save your money and work with the irs yourself.

Please note that our offices placed you in the best position possible against the IRS—a Currently-Non-Collectible status which prevents all collection efforts by the IRS. In addition, while in this status, you are not required any payments towards the best. In essence, you are not paying the IRS tax debt while the IRS collection statute continues to run. When IRS tax debt is owed that cannot be full paid, all taxpayers face the filing of Federal Tax Liens by the IRS since this is the only way the government can protect their interests. Please note that we attempted to abate late filing penalties on your behalf. However, due to your prior IRS tax liability from 2009, the IRS denied an abatement. Had you not had a prior tax liability prior to your current oldest tax debt, then the IRS would have agreed to an abatement. Although taxpayers can enter into resolutions on their own, hiring Anthem has effectively resulted in you paying $0 to the IRS at this time while avoiding enforced collections. Our efforts from the date you retained us have been aimed at doing just that. In fact, we avoided and prevented all levies, seizure of assets and collection efforts by the IRS during your relationship with our company. My husband, who is 76 years old, contacted this company for relief on an old tax obligation. David C, a slick salesman, made promises to my husband that he either knew or should have known Anthem could not keep, which we found out when we negotiated our own installment agreement with the IRS. We were in contact with Nadia A, Director of Quality Assurance, (what a laugh), Deyvi V, a Case Manager, (another big laugh) and Andrew M, who I think is a Negotiator, (the final big laugh). After promises of tax relief they only offered to enter us into an installment agreement for an amount we could not afford with a start date we couldn't meet. Once a contract is signed it is impossible to get in touch with anyone other than the company receptionist. My husband told them he didn't want their services anymore and they went ahead without notifying us to enter into the agreement with the IRS that we told them we couldn't afford. We had to spend days contacting the IRS to vacate this agreement and negotiate a new agreement we could work with. These are very smooth operators that are good at selling their worthless service to unsuspecting people in need of real help. Don't believe them and, whatever you do, DO NOT SIGN a contract with them. They have no shame and will may you pay them for NOTHING!!!

I received a notice from the IRS that I owe $45,026.53. On August 20, 2021 I called Anthem Tax Service and spoke with Mollie Aberle. Anthem Tax Services said they would be able to immediately stop garnishments, levies, liens, etc preventing further actions from the IRS for the total price of $8000.00. On October 03, 2021 I discovered an unauthorized promissory note charge of $16,974.72 from Anthem Tax Services bringing the total Anthem Tax Services fees to $24,974.72 on top of my IRS debt of $45,026.53. To date there has been no reduction of my tax liability, while I am being garnished with levies and liens being attached. I have reported Anthem Tax Services to all relevant local and federal government agencies. Avoid Anthem Tax Services. Do not waste your time and money with Anthem Tax Services. I have experienced the same tactics reported by other reviewers

Wayne- that is not true. We have had over a dozen conversations about this. In 2 months...your entire debt will be wiped out because the statute of limitations will have expired. You will not owe the IRS anything on 1/3/2023. Thanks you- Anthem Tax Services

After paying over$6000 to these folks, they let my case just sit there. No action taken until IRS and FTB threatening letters were received. No reduction in penalties no offer in compromise the only relief they could get was “currently not collectible” status from IRS and payment plan with FTB. Account closed. Now they will not even answer one question about inheritance I will be receiving. Wishing I had gone with another company, Anthem Tax Services did not help at all.

I started working with Anthem Tax Services back in 2019 with Jacob A. To make a long story short, after spending 16K and going through a couple of years of delay tactics and ghosting, I can't recommend. I was not left in a better place than I began and they definitely didn't want to refund my money which is why I think they delayed so many email/phone responses. The service seems nice and they really sound sincere but as I said, the delay practice will drive you to drink. The reason why you do not see more negative responses is that they have a reputation doctor that contacts you to see if things can be worked out if you remove the negative review. I did this. I was then passed off to three Anthem reps in about a month's time and I became frustrated which was probably the plan. Do not use this service and don't be afraid to add your review so others do not get caught in this situation.

In 3019, I Paid $4000 for services were never rendered. Instead I completed and sent forms. (They did help me file for a previous tax year I had neglected.) Received some excel sheet of my IRS record that was never explained. Never received an analysis of my case. Never received any indication that they even ever discussed my case with the IRS! Just endless PR, apologies and requests for documents. I have no proof of course but I am certain that at least 50-60% of the positive reviews on this site are bogus. Do not contract with these people. Get a recommendation from someone you know and who is local to assist with your tax problems. For me, Anthem tax service has mostly been a waste of my hard earned money and my time.

Anthem Tax Services Secured an Amazing Deal! I fell behind, long story short... I owed 5 digits. I was just frozen by the daunting task of having to deal with the IRS/State. I was simply overwhelmed by the whole prospect. Anthem stepped in and handled the entire process - communicating with the IRS/State on my behalf and updating me along the way. This all happened during the pandemic, and due to Federal and State backlogs, it took months for the IRS/State to get everything processed, which means both agencies were constantly barraging me with letters and deadlines. Anthem had me email them every single notification that was mailed to me, no matter how insignificant or monotonous the mailing seemed. They encouraged me to email or call anytime I had any questions (and I had a lot of questions); and every time, they answered each question 1 by 1 without making me feel like I was asking stupid questions. The customer service was truly bar none! The team I worked with was Victoria, Valorie F., and Christian G., - together they handled my case... through the pandemic, through the lockdowns, through the holidays and were there for me every single step of the way. They helped make sense of an entirely chaotic and confusing situation. After years of feeling a crushing weight that I just could not seem to get out from under by myself - I couldn't be more satisfied with the resolution that Anthem achieved with both the State and the IRS! --- I was so pleased with the results that I have contracted to work with Anthem for my future tax filings to make sure I don't fall behind again --- I will keep my Rating Updated so that you can see Anthem doesn't just handle difficult cases (like mine) after you've gotten into a hole, but they're also for regular annual filing!

Service Representatives were professional ,courteous, and patient. Mr. Sam B explained the process, we did a financial analysis, and then placed a call to the IRS to get a better understanding of my tax liability. According to the IRS agent, there was no outstanding balance due to my income. Although I may have been entitled to a tax refund for some of the years in question, the late penalties took that away.
