I engaged ATS in 2019 to negotiate a payment plan on my behalf. They also told me they would file my 2020, 2021 and 2022 tax returns for me. After four years and $5,000 and multiple requests to see any sort of verifiable evidence that they've done something, anything on my behalf, I not only find out my returns have not been filed -- although I was ensured many times that they have -- but the IRS has flagged my 2021 return for identity fraud. ATS tells me that now I have to call the IRS and sort it out myself. They also told me that the reason those returns haven't been filed -- although I was told many times that they have -- was my fault. They've spent four years stringing me along, bouncing me from one person to the next, avoiding my attempts to communicate with them, trying to convince me they were working diligently on my behalf when I have no reason to believe they've done anything at all. So I fired them this month which immediately triggered an email from someone named Craig who said that he was requesting a currently not collectable (CNC) status for me and so for all intents and purposes my case had been resolved! It's so absurd it's comical. A CNC status means the IRS considers you still owe them money but they won't engage in collection efforts but the interest, fees, fines etc. continue to accumulate which IS NOT what I hired them for. I see from the other reviews here that they have done that many times for customers which requires nothing more than a request and a tax form be sent to the IRS. Something anyone could do themselves for the cost of a postage stamp. ATS is either incompetent or an outright fraud. I too will report them to all the appropriate agencies. Any reply they provide to my review will just be a continuation of their unethical business practices. Don't fall for it.

I started working with Anthem Tax Services back in 2019 with Jacob A. To make a long story short, after spending 16K and going through a couple of years of delay tactics and ghosting, I can't recommend. I was not left in a better place than I began and they definitely didn't want to refund my money which is why I think they delayed so many email/phone responses. The service seems nice and they really sound sincere but as I said, the delay practice will drive you to drink. The reason why you do not see more negative responses is that they have a reputation doctor that contacts you to see if things can be worked out if you remove the negative review. I did this. I was then passed off to three Anthem reps in about a month's time and I became frustrated which was probably the plan. Do not use this service and don't be afraid to add your review so others do not get caught in this situation.

I received a notice from the IRS that I owe $45,026.53. On August 20, 2021 I called Anthem Tax Service and spoke with Mollie Aberle. Anthem Tax Services said they would be able to immediately stop garnishments, levies, liens, etc preventing further actions from the IRS for the total price of $8000.00. On October 03, 2021 I discovered an unauthorized promissory note charge of $16,974.72 from Anthem Tax Services bringing the total Anthem Tax Services fees to $24,974.72 on top of my IRS debt of $45,026.53. To date there has been no reduction of my tax liability, while I am being garnished with levies and liens being attached. I have reported Anthem Tax Services to all relevant local and federal government agencies. Avoid Anthem Tax Services. Do not waste your time and money with Anthem Tax Services. I have experienced the same tactics reported by other reviewers

Wayne- that is not true. We have had over a dozen conversations about this. In 2 months...your entire debt will be wiped out because the statute of limitations will have expired. You will not owe the IRS anything on 1/3/2023.

My husband, who is 76 years old, contacted this company for relief on an old tax obligation. David C, a slick salesman, made promises to my husband that he either knew or should have known Anthem could not keep, which we found out when we negotiated our own installment agreement with the IRS. We were in contact with Nadia A, Director of Quality Assurance, (what a laugh), Deyvi V, a Case Manager, (another big laugh) and Andrew M, who I think is a Negotiator, (the final big laugh). After promises of tax relief they only offered to enter us into an installment agreement for an amount we could not afford with a start date we couldn't meet. Once a contract is signed it is impossible to get in touch with anyone other than the company receptionist. My husband told them he didn't want their services anymore and they went ahead without notifying us to enter into the agreement with the IRS that we told them we couldn't afford. We had to spend days contacting the IRS to vacate this agreement and negotiate a new agreement we could work with. These are very smooth operators that are good at selling their worthless service to unsuspecting people in need of real help. Don't believe them and, whatever you do, DO NOT SIGN a contract with them. They have no shame and will may you pay them for NOTHING!!!

Please note that our offices placed you in the best position possible against the IRS—a Currently-Non-Collectible status which prevents all collection efforts by the IRS. In addition, while in this status, you are not required any payments towards the best. In essence, you are not paying the IRS tax debt while the IRS collection statute continues to run. When IRS tax debt is owed that cannot be full paid, all taxpayers face the filing of Federal Tax Liens by the IRS since this is the only way the government can protect their interests. Please note that we attempted to abate late filing penalties on your behalf. However, due to your prior IRS tax liability from 2009, the IRS denied an abatement. Had you not had a prior tax liability prior to your current oldest tax debt, then the IRS would have agreed to an abatement. Although taxpayers can enter into resolutions on their own, hiring Anthem has effectively resulted in you paying $0 to the IRS at this time while avoiding enforced collections. Our efforts from the date you retained us have been aimed at doing just that. In fact, we avoided and prevented all levies, seizure of assets and collection efforts by the IRS during your relationship with our company. We’d love an opportunity to review the terms and conditions of a CNC status with you again to further explain the benefits of this status. Thank you.

I contacted Anthem Tax Service (ATS) over 18 months ago. After speaking with Greg he guaranteed that they would save me at least the cost of the program of $4500. Initially I had great hopes, but after they kept asking for the same Power of Attorney 5 times from 5 different people I started to raise flags. My account was handed off to 5 different people and none of them apparently communicate with the previous. After 18 months I have still yet to see them reduce my tax liability by 1 PENNY! And don't fall for their 100% guarantee, this is ABSOLUTEY bogus as well! I have reached out to over 5 people at ATS and have yet to receive a response after 2 weeks! THIS IS A SCAM!! Save your money.
