Terrible at communication, filed my returns late even though I had everything ready in time. Doesn't return emails in a timely matter. Cannot ever get a hold of anyone who is handling my case or returns. Got a penalty on my corp for their mishandling of my documents. The list goes on.

Overall very happy with the service we received. The only thing i would suggest is giving a bimonthly update to the customer weather there has been progress or not. Through out our experience which was a lengthy one which was expected. I never got an update as to our account status without sending several emails and or leaving numerous voicemails. Until we were contacted by Mrs. K, at that point we never had to call for an update she was in touch with us every couple of weeks with detailed updates up to the resolution. Absolutely could not be happier, she was fantastic. Overall a very good experience throughout a rough situation to a very good resolution. I contacted Anthem Tax Service (ATS) over 18 months ago. After speaking with Greg he guaranteed that they would save me at least the cost of the program of $4500. Initially I had great hopes, but after they kept asking for the same Power of Attorney 5 times from 5 different people I started to raise flags. My account was handed off to 5 different people and none of them apparently communicate with the previous. After 18 months I have still yet to see them reduce my tax liability by 1 PENNY! And don't fall for their 100% guarantee, this is ABSOLUTEY bogus as well! I have reached out to over 5 people at ATS and have yet to receive a response after 2 weeks! THIS IS A SCAM!! Save your money.

My initial interaction was horrible Michael G. use fear and lies to convince me to sign up and he made promises to me that were totally Dishonest. The 2nd person I dealt with NEVER returned calls or emails. The final person I dealt with was great...he resolved my issue, was responsive honest and efficient. That said, I spent over a year and over 7K dealing with others who lacked integrity, honesty & professionalism.

I was completely misled by one of there employees. The person I spoke to convinced me he would in fact reduce the amount I owed the IRS to 10 or 15% of what I owed them. Nothing of the sort happened. All they did was get my balance deemed uncollectible because I was not working at the time. Once I go back to work it will become collectible again and I will be in worse shape than I was before because penalties and interest will be added to the total.

Charlie R. has got to be the best agent that Anthem Tax Services has in their employ. His knowledge and the of our situation/problem was immediate as if we had been talking for days. His demeanour is calm and confident. This changed the emotion from what was a scary and hopeless IRS collection nightmare to more of a "Bump in the Road" easily maneuvered down a path well traveled by Mr. R. The resolution: A debt of $19,974.00 went to $0.00. A huge weight and years of sleepless nights disappeared in a puff of smoke. I would like to edit my previous response. Initially I was very dissatisfied with Anthem Tax Services when I did my initial comments. Jessica contacted me immediately, they reviewed my case and I just received a full payment return. I had a difficult case and when Anthem was unable to reduce any of my tax penalty they did exactly what their stated advertisement says they will do, a full return. I have found Anthem Tax Service to be a reputable firm and would recommend them highly.

Gave Anthem over $4,500 two years ago. Went through three consultants. Haven't heard back. Now I get an assistant or someone else. Filed two years of taxes already. Could have done the same job myself and worked with the IRS. Haven't got any feedback from them. Doubt I'll get my money back even though the first person I worked with said they would definitely be able to lower my bill. At this point. I'd rather work with the IRS myself. Go with a different tax service or do it yourself. Don't waste your money.

Wanted to write a quick review of the FANTASTIC SERVICE I received from Alex F., one of their tax analysts. Alex's professionalism, communication, candor, and quick service/response were all on point and very much appreciated. He responded quickly to my request for information, and got on a call with me at 7:30 AM Pacific time to walk me through the IRS conference call and initial set-up. He was kind, understanding, patient, and gave me faith that I will be able to get through my tax issues. I had a LESS than satisfactory experience talking to Optima -- as I told him, they pay millions for their advertising, so I called them first. I found Anthem online, after I had the conversation with Optima. So glad I did! Alex is great, and he's the reason I'm going to sign up with Anthem Tax. Awesome service!

Anthem Tax created terrible problems between me and the IRS which is still costing me a lot of money. It's very risky to rely on tax services providers that don't service their customers like real professionals. There are much better tax return service professionals around and it's worth the time to spend finding them.

Anthem Tax Services is a vcery dishonest company Merced, CA

I signed up with Anthem Tax Services (ATS) for help with some back taxes with both the IRS and state of CA. I was told ATS could help me and that the fees I paid ATS would be less that the relief I'd get from both tax agencies. As it turned out this was not accurate. ATS was not able to get any reductions in the taxes I owed. So true to what is stated on ATS's web site, and what the salesperson told me, I received a refund of the fees I paid. I have to thank MC, in customer service, who got me my refund. In the end it all worked out.
