Way better than promised. Did a Pre Paid PPA. (Best value in Solar if you have cash) System is way over producing even with the weather. Install guys were great and fun. Follow up with the company has been above and beyond. No vanishing sale's guy. He calls every now and then to check in and ask if we have questions. Even with the weather in Feb and March, my projected bill is -$47! AC will be humming in the summer with no worries. If you need an Honest rep, ask for Greg Wellen. He talked to me like I was his neighbor. Way different than the other 4 companies I sat with.

Sungevity's customer service is the best. We were informed of every step in the process both through emails and phone calls. All went very smoothly on the installation. We did have some problems in the beginning and were resolved quickly. We also have been guided by their customer service reps how to operate the system in terms of a city power outage. We own a fully electric car and we charge it up for free during the daytime when solar power is being generated, a total win-win.

my experiance was very good however i had to call them every week to get going on my sisten until the day it went live it took me 3 months on a 3000w system that i baught cash .After having the system for about 10months i still do have a bill i live in nj and my utility wont allow a larg aray because it goes by your yearly average usage,i baught the home 2 years ago so my bill was low at the time all in all im happy with the system and happy with the service.my advice to any one planing on getting a solar system is pay cash after financing it and go maximum load or usage its nice not having an electric bill with a couple dollers of line mentance.

Sungevity was very efficient and organized from the consultant all the way to permitting. I would highly reccomend them to anyone. Their prices and equipment was a lot better then the other companies and their over all customer scores was still better then anyone else. After looking at their BBB A+ rating report and reading a recent article in Forbes magaizne about how their being successful when other companies are not, makes me feel that I made the best choice by going with them. Do yourself a favor and make sure you talk to them before going with other companies.

Brita who was our project coordinator, made sure that we knew exactly what was happening and when and who was coming. It was great to have all that information! From beginning to end they were very professional with the installation the guys that showed up were absolutely great kept the noise down to a minimal very clean and fast to install, the inspection was also fast friendly and my solar was approved to connect the very next day after inspection. I went with Horizon after interviewing a whole slew of other companies and found Horizon to be the most cost effective. I have been running on solar for 4 months now and have not had any issues. I love I am paying a fixed amount and not having to worry that my bill is going to be sky high due to the heat wave we've had. from the sales to the installation everything went smooth. Jeremy was awesome as well as the other team members.

I am extremely happy with Horizon and all of the contact people from our initial sale with Russ Kingery to the installation team all promises were kept and the installation was clean and not the least evasive to our us. I would like to mention that our contacts at Horizon during the installation phase and what seemed and interminable wait for the city and SCE to give their stamp of approval Norma ****** and Natalie ****** were most pleasant and I would have to give them both a rating of 9 (never give a 10) in customer service in retuning calls promptly and always courteous and helpful. The whole experience has so far be most pleasant.

Horizon Solar....I don't have to do much.... cost me $0...to have them install my Solar...so great specialist consultant...Eric Lingren was so good for what he do...any questions I may ask will answered...I got my rebate top $$....but if u have to open account & lease it with them Solar for now... just making sure your credit is good...been paying $500/mo. Elec. Before Versus $178/mo. With Horizon...who u think I pick...

Horizon is the best. The crew was timely, courteous, and informed every step of the process. Norma was outstanding! She was constantly calling me informing me the entire time of "what's next" We had some hiccups with an obstinate inspector but the Horizon team got us through it and Norma scheduled two crews to get it done and make up for the delays caused by the city. My bill this past month was $488.00. My billing period started June 16th and I was put online June 26th My projected SCE bill shows a negative $3.00 and rising daily

The entire Horizon team was outstanding. Norma was the standout performer informing me throughout the entire process from start to finish! We had some hiccups with difficult inspectors but the team made up for the lost time by sending 2 crews to expedite my installation. Installers were showed up as promised and were clean and courteous. I am enjoying a negative $$ projected bill. I will recommend Horizon to everyone that I know.

We don't know when we have had a group of workers so sociable, helpful, quick, and knowledgeable. They were fun to have on our property, even though they spent their time working, they always had time to stop and visit and we just felt comfortable around them. We never felt uncomfortable about leaving our house/property with them here alone. Never had to oversee the team of workers. Norma Aguilar always kept us apprised as to what was coming next or if we had a question she would help as soon as possible to answer or resolve. All in all, a really great company and group of people.

I have been on Solar now since February 2016 and it has been great. Brita Richardson was instrumental in the coordination of getting my system installed. She did an excellent job. Everyone from my sales rep, Seth Bruins all the way to the installation and turn up have been great. On the downside, I have experienced a failure of the system which started June 1, 2016. I didn't notice it until the 28th of June. I reported it to SunRun who I have to go through but they didn't get it to Horizon Solar until today, July 5th. Horizon Solar responded as soon as they got the information and were here within a couple of hours. The technician determined that the Invertor was defective and had to be replaced. So now I am off the solar and will be using my credits that I had built up with SCE to cover the cost of July which is on track to be at least $170.00 as of right now. This is a good reason to keep your credits with SCE so when something happens you have the cost covered. I still highly recommend Horizon Solar Power for installation and maintenance.

I was a late comer to solar (2 years ago). From start to finish, Horizon Solar made it smooth and easy. They kept the schedule, handled all the permits and contractors, finished on time *and* cleaned up after themselves. Brita Richardson was always available by phone and email to answer questions and intervene, even after installation was complete. Last year, I paid $200 for electricity. Not per month, for the year! In a two story house with dual AC/heating units. Certainly beats the $300-600 per month I used to pay.

Horizon Solar has been an excellent contractor & provider for our solar needs. A couple individuals stand out as being key success factors in our solar purchase & installation: * Melissa Pomilla: As Horizon's sales rep, she provided much needed education to us on residential solar. Her timeliness through out the entire process from sales meeting, to contract completion, to updates on installation planning and to follow up after installation have all been excellent. She was always available to answer my multiple questions. Melissa is the BEST! * Norma Aguila: She provide excellent customer support from the Horizon office. Norma's responsiveness and initiative in dealing with us gave us a peace that even after we requested several design changes that our contracts would be timely and accurate. And they indeed were. She also kept us informed of all relevant information leading up to our installation. Thanks Norma! I highly recommend Horizon Solar....

My surplus solar production offsets my utility cost from NYSEG completely and then some. And the lease fee is partially tax deductible. With NYS in turmoil over nuclear and coal electric power production and the piping of natural gas for power production, it is nice to know I have some price stability. Plus I can pull limited power directly off the 41 panels and 2 inverters under certain conditions. The installers (sub-contractors) could have done a better job. They did some damage to the house. The panels are not centered on the roof and they damaged the siding and attic access hatch. When a panel came loose in a windstorm ( I think the installers never installed 2 tie downs for a panel) Sungevity came right out and fixed it. I would like a battery pack though to store power.

my experience was very good. They explained exactly what they were going to do and then help it all occur in almost exactly the way they said it would. But more amazingly they were quite appropriately conservative about their estimates of my savings however where my electric bill had been regularly above $200 monthly before the installation they have rarely been above $100 since then and often have been as low as $22 dollars. I'm very impressed and very happy.

I see negative and positive comments here. What is boils down to is my monthly bill was $400 to $500 a month and now it is $40. I would say this is a plus. I am not planning on selling my home this year so I don't care about the cost. They did a clean install and had it done in one day. The permits from the city is what took all the time. Via the website I can see my usage for every day, I like this feature being a Geek. I would recommend Sungevity to anyone wanting to look at solar.

i LOVED the people at Sungevity who i worked with. Sadly i was in the process of getting the solar roof when i realized would not be able to keep the home due to the sharp downturn in the economy. It was a very sad day when i told them we would have to halt the process. Now i have a new home that is a keeper and would love it if Sungevity could come way out to the sticks were i live. But have a new roof that i am sure the warrantly will be voided by if i put solar on the roof so would need to put it else where on my acre of land. Honestly i am so good at conservation my electricity bill has not been over $20 a month since i got the new roof, so this might not be a good financial move for me, it would be strictly because i love the earth and because i know the cost of energy can do nothing but go up.

After deciding that I wanted to purchase solar panels, I first contacted Solar City. My experience with them was terrible! They were constantly requesting more and more paperwork..most of which was related to PPA's and not applicable in my case. This dragged on for months after which I cancelled my contract with them and contacted Sungevity. From start to finish they were friendly, receptive to my questions, and very professional. I highly recommend them to anyone.

We had our system installed last fall. Sales was very informative,low pressure. Answered all questions and provided lots of info.Very courteous. The system is well designed. Leak free mounting hardware. Production especially during Spring and Summer months is really looking good. I had just one complaint. After installing the system it takes a very long time to get thru the inspection process.No fault of Sungevity. But I was not getting info on progress of the inspections AKA when They would be occurring. I contacted the company and was kept well up to date from that point on. I Would recommend this company to others and do . I also spread the word via facebook.

Sungevity was informative, organized, and much more workable than the many other companies we interviewed for rooftop solar. We like the lease aspect, and that they also donate to the Sierra Club. They addresses all our concerns & followed thru with everything. After we signed up, it got even better. They took care of all the paperwork, permits. Everything went as scheduled & in less than 3 days of work the panels were professionally installed on our roof, the workmen were respectful & on time. Our PG&E bill went way, way down as predicted. In fact this year, we'll probably get money back. I would definitely recommend Sungevity for rooftop solar here in the Bay Area.

I am not sorry I went solar but...I am not happy with the increase every year with my lease...One other thing which really upset me was ..it was not explained that when the electric goes out ...my solar service also goes out along with everyone else...my neighbors were very surprised that the solar is on the same grid as everyone else....when I first called the electric company...they finally admitted that the solar system was on the same grid as everyone else...THAT IS A BUMMER!!! BUT..I am saving on my monthly electric bill...I am somewhat disappointed in the honestly of all involved and wish I would have been smarter and looked into the system before signing on that dotted line!

I can't figure out how I can tell how many kwh I use, verses how many kwh i make in a day and then the total plus or minus I have left over so if need be I can adjust my own use of it.

It took four inspections to pass inspection. The same problem existed in every inspection that we failed and it took more than 7 months to install a single residential solar panel system. The company does not seem to communicate well with any zone company and it took an unusually long time to do one single residential installation.

Not much once they got the money it was like I didn't exist phone calls not returned it took ,when they got the 20 k in took 7 weeks to get the service turned on , they said PGE and was at fault when contacted them they had no record of a service install at my home the they said it was permit issues at the the city of Atwater went to the Cuty of Atwater and they had no permits pulled for our home ,then we asked for a hard copy of how to use the system we are still waiting we got an e-mail copy but that is not what we asked fir

There were multiple times where we requested to be called back at a specific phone number, but they kept calling the wrong one. Because of that, we often didn't know when the workers were coming. After it was installed we couldn't get answers to question on upkeep and use because they wouldn't answer or call us back on the correct line.

You can't get any customer support, you call in and get an answering machine. They destroyed a brand-new roof, you can't trust them. I suggest to everybody to stop here, don't get it because they do not stand to their word. They say they're going to come out and they don't, they say they're going to fix something and they don't. They told me it was going to be done before Thanksgiving and it wasn't done until almost March.

Solar Spectrum told me the system would cover more than it actually does. The installation process was good, but they were installing something too small for my house. The project engineer assured me it was okay, but it's not. I'm upset because I want a unit that can supply all the power I need, but I have a unit that only supplies half the power I need. They did a poor job representing themselves.
