It was explained to me that I would get a 26 percent rebate off my purchase. Which came to 54 050 dollars roughly 14,300 dollars. At my next tax year return . that was in 2020. But I don't get that amount zero zip. Because I don't make enough money and pay enough taxes to get this money. Not only will my monthly rate go up because it was written that if I don't sign over the 26 percent there's an add on my monthly payment goes from its current 203.10 to about 280 per month for 25 years. I am not sold that it it worth it for a 65 year old to take on that kind of debt to pay until I'm dead. And if I'm selling the house because it is a loan means buyer can't get the agreement transferred because it isn't paid for . look on as if rented ot leased. And they ask for proof of ownership. There is a tax credit good up to 3 years. So if I do come into some money then I can take it off my taxes but there is NO Money Given. no check past on to the owner of the solar panels. .. Don't get caught like me.

In August I signed the contract for solar. It's the end of January and my first payment is due the first week of February and the system still isn't activated. The customer service is a mess, no one ever knows what's going on. Twice there were significant delays with all the red tape that's involved and each time it was Palmetto who dropped the ball with paperwork. I had to constantly follow up with them and if they told me they would have someone get back to me, they never did. Appointments were never kept as scheduled, and most of their communication is via text unless you call them. The only positive experience I've had was with the installation, the crew was great. Supposedly after the installation was complete, Duke Energy has 30 days to switch me over so the system can be activated, but that didn't happen. I called Duke Energy to see what the hold up was and was told Palmetto hadn't completed the activation paperwork. Bottom line is I'm going to start paying for the service before it's even activated and I was told that could happen by March but if not, to give Palmetto a call. So it's been 6 months since the process started and could be 7 months before I can activate the system. I would not recommend this company to anyone considering solar.

My panels should have been connected the week of Jan 7th to the local power company. I was told that my panels WILL be operational before my 1st payment is due. And it's due 7 Feb. I spoke with a representative and she said I should do the work to find out why my panels are not connected yet. I explained to her the service I was promised and she RELUCTANTLY put me on hold and said by the end of this week. I did not have ANY confidence in your customer service at this time. I feel as if I will be hung out to dry during this process. I have been more than patient while waiting for my initial installation and if it wasn't for your quality salesman Collin...I would have moved on.

Because I am not Theodore, and I do not own a house with Solar. I WORK for a Solar install company, and your customer service sucks. I've replied to the texts multiple times advising that you have the wrong number, and continue to receive updates for this poor man's system. IDK how y'all have been in contact with this customer regarding his project when my phone number is what is listed in your system. Poor man.

We're over 100 days since we signed our contract, our panel installation failed inspection and we're currently waiting for re-inspection with no end in sight. We're now paying both our solar bill and our electric bill. This is not what I signed up for. Our sales agent, Ashley, has been amazing but can't get a straight answer for us.

Absolute worst customer experience I have ever had. My panels have been installed in August and according to Palmetto, we are waiting on Permission to Operate from my utility company. I was originally told Palmetto submitted for PTO on 10/13… I speak to another Palmetto rep who tells me PTO was submitted on 10/18. They have made up stories and lies throughout the whole process. I finally call my utility company and they tell me they still have not received the signed certificate of completion from my solar company. At this point I don’t even want these panels anymore. Signed the contract in May and we are almost in November and I have yet to be able to use the panels that have been sitting on my roof for 2 months now. They put the blame on everyone else because they are not diligent in their efforts or process’. The only “good” thing is they agreed to pay my payments until I am up and running. They paid October's and I got a bill for November saying they will automatically withdraw it from my account. I contacted the VP who said they “forgot” to submit to have this payment taken care of but will get it done.

We are sorry to hear about our customers experience and the misinformation. Signatures were requested from the customer on October 12th, which included the documents needed for the utility company. We were then able to submit and receive confirmation from the utility company that they are in the review process on October 18th. Once we receive authorization to operate, we will be able to activate the system! The customer advocacy representative will continue to keep the customer updated!

I have absolutely no faith in this company. I think the tactic is to get your solar panels installed make it seem smooth and seamless and then completely fail to have an inspection done to actually get use out of said panels. If you have to contact customer service multiple times a week for over a month now to be told the same exact thing “we will send a message to the scheduling team”. This does big fat NOTHING as I have yet to hear from anyone on that end of things. When asking to speak to supervisor I was told one would call back within 48 hrs and no one did (of course ). Even if they said we are low on inspectors it may be awhile I would understand (wouldn’t be happy but would at least know what is happening) because at this point I am paying for useless black squares on my roof that are supposed to be helping me SAVE money.

I’m not happy with the “service after the sale”! My system was installed in late May or early June—perfect for the summer months of sun, BUT it is still not operational at this point in time. Therefore, I am paying for something that should be paying for itself. I am very dissatisfied with the service and the response time, and at this point in time (August 26, 2022), I still do not know when my system will be fixed. In good conscience I cannot and will not recommend Palmetto to anyone in my sphere of influence!
