Vinyasun, pronounced “Vin – nyaaah – sun”, like Vinyasa in yoga, delivers positive energy to its customers every day from sun up to sun down by providing clean, affordable, solar energy, typically at a lower cost than traditional energy providers that utilize fossil fuels. The company strives to eliminate the typical large upfront cost and provides annual maintenance backed by a money-back performance guarantee, as well as the savings and peace of mind its customers desire.
Homeowners will be glad to know that Vinyasun offers a 25-year equipment warranty, which covers the panels and inverter, as well as a 20-year workmanship warranty, which covers labor. With Vinyasun, customers can be confident that they will be covered if something goes wrong with their solar energy system during the first 20 years.
Vinyasun gives customers a few different ways to pay for their solar system: outright purchase, loan, or lease. With a variety of options, consumers have the ability to select a payment method that fits well with their needs and budget.
Vinyasun offers solar panels produced by SunPower and Panasonic and inverters manufactured by SolarEdge, some of the most well respected solar manufacturers in the United States, giving customers peace of mind that the solar equipment installed on their home is high quality.
In addition to these high-performing solar panel manufacturers, Vinyasun has also partnered with Tesla and installs the Tesla Powerwall as an optional system upgrade. Tesla batteries rank among the top performers in the solar battery backup market, they're easy to install, and come with a 10-year warranty. Additionally, the solar company also installs the SunVault battery from SunPower. Both batteries improve the overall efficiency of the system, and help reduce the electric bill in the process.
Unfortunately, Vinyasun's services are currently only available to residents of Florida. Although being a local provider does come with its own unique set of benefits, it limits the amount of consumers who have access to the company's services.
While Vinyasun does offer a number of other payment options, the company does not allow its customers to sign into a Power Purchase Agreement, or PPA. PPAs are very attractive to many consumers, so Vinyasun's failure to offer this option could be a drawback for some.
Unfortunately, few verified Vinyasun reviews have been posted to Best Company. Meanwhile, other review platforms report a mixed bag of reviews, with the solar provider scoring a 3.7 out of five starts on Google. Verified reviews play an important role in the customer evaluation process; they provide insight into a company's solar installation process, customer service, and other factors.
If you are a current or former customer of Vinyasun, we encourage you to share your experience below for other solar customers.
