Called with same issue every 60 days for over a year. Called and spoke with 4 reps today. They gave me number to their contractor. Contractor advised me to call sunpower again and ask for a supervisor. After being on hold 28 minutes the rep advised me supervisor would not speak with me. Help!

Terrible system with underproduction for last 10 years. I have another 15 years old system that works better. Even worse is customer service. Anytime they come to service your system, they wipe off data and claim that they don’t have information. They are supposed to monitor system.System is non functioning for last 13 months and still they can’t replace an inverter. Yes, this is happening HERE IN AMERICA from a company claims to be all AMERICAN. I guess it’s just because I have fully prepaid lease. You can’t go wrong by getting solar system from any company but SunPower.

I started down the path with SunPower in August 2022. It's now Sept 2023 and I'm still waiting for the panels to be "tested" so I may use them. My local electric company, ComEd, has given me permission to use, however SunPower still tells me I'm in the testing phase. The slowness and lazy attitude shown be nearly everyone in the company is tiresome. Their responses are scripted verbiage each time...no new info can ever be obtained. They have now started to bill me prematurely, which is another headache. So now I'm paying ComEd and SunPower. I would not recommend SunPower to anyone!

It’s been over 2 months since I last contacted them and I still haven’t received a response. I’ve consistently called Sunpower and emailed support for an update since the beginning of July and still haven’t gotten the new system. We lost the solar system and had to pay high electric bills this summer. This is incredibly disappointing and professional.

SunPower in Palm Springs is incompetent and don't understand how they are in business. After contacting them 2 months ago regarding my panel reads "error" and solar panels have been useless they still have not come out to fix. I get the runaround stating they've submitted the work order but needs to be approved? I would highly not recommend this company to anyone. Worst customer service ever!

I started my project 1 year ago and the sun power haven't finalize it. They put solar panels on the garage roof without checking first is it permitted or not. Now when city declined to give permits they just stop responding to my emails and calls.They never keep any promizes the gave to me. Do not overpay to this company for the fake reputation. They didn't even close the trench and put back pavers they removed 1 year ago. Isn't this redicioulus. I was financed $36k for 17 panels and they are laying on my roof without any benefits.

It takes two weeks to do everything. I have tried to get service for a broken inverter. So first I had to prove my father died and my my mother inherited the house. That took two weeks and they won't tell me if it is actually done yet. Now they want another two weeks to see if they will do a service call. Oh and you have to buy an inverter in India if you want to service the system your self. No Local companies will touch it. And the company that installed it in 2010 is gone. What a way to run a railroad. What a way to run a railroad

Without exception, this is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Gross incompetence coupled with awful customer service. We had them install 50K worth of panels 6 months ago, 40% of the new panels have never produced any power at all as far as we know, and their service people seem unable to fix the system despite half a dozen service visits. If you are thinking of buying a solar system from them, I have two words of good advice for you. Just don't.

We had solar panels when we purchased our home, decided to add more and they were installed improperly. Our 5 year old home began having ceiling leaks and after calling two different roofers, were told that they solar panels were installed improperly. We had panels removed at our cost, the roof repaired at our cost and panels reinstalled at our cost. Sun power refused to assist in any way to reimburse or make good on their poor installation, we have letters from roofers and pictures of the roof damage.

There was a $1,000 visa check card offered by sun power because of the company I worked for. Sun power acknowledged this during the sales pitch. They acknowledged this again at signing. They acknowledged it at least two more times. I was told I would get it six to ten weeks after I went live. I still haven’t received a $1,000 visa check card and now they “can’t find my company in the program “. It gets worse. Months after the panel’s went live they still haven’t closed my permits with the town. Avoid sun power. They are horrible.

Customer service sucks. Set up a web meeting. Sat for 15min. Got a text asking about a phone interview. Said it was suppose to be a web meeting and I’ve been waiting 15 min on the call. Was told sorry for being misled. I recieved email from the company and the guy that I was suppose to meet with. Both said it was a web meeting. Waisted my time. If they can’t get a meeting set right. Lie about. Not care if they loose a customer. Wouldn’t trust there ability to put up panels.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! The worst customer service and follow through I have ever experienced. I have been with SunPower for over 10 years and there's been nothing but problems. They installed the system wrong , we have not saved any money and they will not get back to us to fix this problem. I don't know if they're going out of business and don't care , but we are taking legal action.

Sunpower have a very qualified sales team but the project coordinators are the worst! They are unresponsive, persuade you to install before HOA approval and then ask for more money to correct their mistakes. When you send emails, they do not respond for several weeks and if you don't escalate and complain to a superior or another department, they would not answer you at all. I do not recommend you to close any deals with them. Update: even the supervisor Matthew J is not very responsive.

SunPower’s Poor workmanship cased a roof leak. One of the anchor bolts missed the rafters and caused a roof leak. The SunPower worker cam out and reinstalled the solar panel properly and fixed the leak. Today, SunPower sent me an email stating: “ After further review, it has been concluded that the roof leak is not related to the system that was installed on the roof at your residence.” I was satisfied with SunPower, Until I received SunPower’s email stating they don’t take responsibility for their poor workmanship

WORST company and customer service we have ever had! Bought $20,000 worth of solar panels that worked for 2 months and for the next 9 months we have been calling, that we are not receiving credits and paying large electricity bills. They said there is not compensation for for our system that has been working but not giving US THE CREDITS! Each time we called, they said they would "get back" What a scam company!

Homesmart that contracted with Sunpower is RUDE. When I started asking question during the Zoom, he shorten the call, can't even get to the battery back options. I decided to go with someone else later on solar panel and ask Homesmart about battery option, they Marty just say he cannot help me, that too bad I went with a LESSER company. Yes, Sunpower is a big company that likely to be around in the future, but do I want to deal with them if I ever have a problem? NO

Stay far away from this company. I’ve had my system for four years. I’ve had repeated issues. Customer service is terrible. I’ve had to call multiple times. The agents speak heavily accented English that is difficult to understand and they always promise that someone will call me back. No one ever does. We leased a SunPower solar system 10 years ago. The system stopped working 2 months ago. Despite calling SunPower customer service every week, no repair has been made. We get promises at every call and then nothing happens. It is the worst customer service I have ever seen. What is the value of their solar system guarantee, if they are simply unable or unwilling to repair it when it fails? We have backup battery system by Tesla. We never had any issue with Tesla. After this experience with SunPower, I can only advise everyone who considers a solar system to consider Tesla instead of SunPower

They are all about installing new systems. After that support is nonexistent. I have an installation that is now 15 years old and the Sun Power inverter SPR-3300x is showing Ground Fault. Probably some minor electrical problem that can be fixed by an electrician in 5 minutes. i have been calling these people for a week to get a local electrician over here to take care of that. You get their Technical Support people on the phone but there seems to be no way to get someone to actually come to your house to help. Not the Best Company at all.

Been calling , emailing for over two weeks to get the wifi hooked up. Been 2 months now and I don't think the array is working. It is July, august and Electric bill is $10 lower than June. Only thing I get from phone calls is, " I will put a message through." They are sure there when money is due. Don't pay them till you see production from the array and everything is working.

I have had a great experience with Oak Electric, a SunPower dealer in Michigan, but when I contacted SunPower directly about an issue related to a severely delayed installation of batteries due to unavailability of software, customer service at SunPower has been HORRIBLE. After following up with me initially by email and phone, SunPower has gone dark. They simply don’t or won’t respond to any of my follow ups to make contact. This has been going on for multiple weeks. Out of frustration I’m leaving this review.
