The Bad

  • Disorganized Website
  • No Live Monitoring Page for Colorado

Little Social Media Interaction

Regarding social media, Sunlight Solar has a Pinterest, LinkedIn, Google Plus, Facebook, Twitter, and Youtube page. However, none of these pages have large followings. Additionally, the company does not especially interact with customers, or answer customer inquiries on Facebook. While the company doesn't post too frequently on Facebook, they are much more active on Twitter. Customers can also find them on Yelp.

No Live Monitoring Page For Colorado

Sunlight Solar provides multiple tabs for live monitoring in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Oregon, but no tab specifically for Colorado. It is unclear if Colorado systems include the live monitoring feature. Additionally the live monitoring' function is unclear. The company does not explain if the live monitoring is similar to online monitoring, or if it tracks energy usage and production. Sunlight Solar's website also fails to mention where customers can check live monitoring, i.e., from a computer, phone, or tablet.

I've had my system for nearly 3 years now and it has provided about a 93% payback to date from my original investment. After interviewing 5 solar companies I elected to go with Sunlight Solar and do not regret my decision. I did the purchase vs. the lease option, and their quote was within reason of the competitors and they started and completed on time as promised. (Which I know some friends who were several months behind their promised dates.). I am a stickler for attention to detail, and their contractors were very good. Especially their electrician. I had one issue the first week after installation, and their team was out the next day to resolve it. Three years and three New England winters later, it's been trouble free.

this company was a joy to deal with they did what they said they would when they said they would do it. there were no surprises and everything works flawlessly for the last year and a half. We purchased the system with 0 down and a 2.99% financing. they even gave us a 0% bridge loan for 18 months until we got our federal tax incentive back. The system is producing more than expected and by paying down the loan with srec money the system should be paid off in six years with no money out of pocket then the real savings will kick in

We used Sunlight Solar about ten years ago to install solar at our home. Their personnel were always friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They showed up on time and one issue we had with installation was fixed without question. Our inverters failed after a couple of years; they were replaced under warranty. Easy company to deal with!
