The Good

  • Full-Service Solar Installations
  • Infinity Energy System
  • Solar Financing Options
  • Additional Home Improvement Services

Full-Service Solar Installations

Infinity Energy is a full-service rooftop solar installer, meaning the company handles everything from the initial consultation to solar system installation to the final walkthrough and interconnection. The company does not outsource work to third-party installers for its sales, design, or installation efforts, meaning homeowners will only have one solar company to keep track of throughout the entire process.

Solar companies that offer in-house services come with the added benefit of consistent service quality and a single point of contact for homeowners.

Infinity Energy System

The Infinity Energy System is an all-in-one solar system that includes solar panels, microinverters, solar batteries, and solar monitoring. The system is designed to power your home, maximizing your energy efficiency and utility savings.

Here is a breakdown of what’s included in the Infinity Energy System:

  • Solar panels — black on black solar panels that include black components, matte frames, and matte backsheet
  • IQ microinverters — placed under each solar panel to provide power even without a home solar battery system
  • IQ batteries — available in two sizes to store power to use at any time
  • IQ Mobile App — monitor your system from anywhere

Each Infinity Energy System is custom-designed and built to the specifications of each individual project. To get an idea of how much your Infinity Energy System may cost, you can request a free estimate through the company’s website.

Solar Financing Options

Infinity Energy provides customers with two financing options to fit their budget and energy needs. In addition to direct purchase, which requires the greatest upfront costs but provides the highest return on investment, customers can choose from any of the following:

  • Solar Loan — Qualifies for the Solar Tax Investment Credit and provides immediate savings and panel ownership. Systems financed through a loan are protected under warranty.
  • Solar Lease — Fixed monthly payments lower than the utility bill, and no loan required. Ideal for customers on a fixed income because payments are the same every month. No installation or maintenance costs. Warranty coverage included.

Additional Home Improvement Services

In addition to solar system services, Infinity Energy provides roofing and siding services through its parent company, Infinity Home. The company offers roof inspection, roof replacement, new roof installation, and home siding services. All services are completed by licensed and insured professionals, and Infinity Home is certified by GAF as Master Elite®, ensuring that your roof service is in good hands.

It’s important to note that Infinity Home’s roofing and siding services are only available in certain areas in New Jersey and New York.

The Bad

  • Limited Service Area
  • No NABCEP Certification

Limited Service Area

Infinity Energy is limited to home owners and business owners in New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. Unfortunately, if you aren’t a resident of any of the three states listed, Infinity Energy’s solar services may not be available to you.

No NABCEP Certification

Infinity Energy does not appear to hold a certification from the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP). The NABCEP is considered the “gold standard” certification program in the solar industry, and signifies that a company has undergone advanced additional training on the best practices for solar installation and technology.

The lack of certification does not in any way imply poor service quality; however, it can be a difference-maker for customers comparing multiple companies and looking for a certified solar provider.

The Bottom Line

Infinity Energy is a full-service solar energy company that serves residents of New Jersey, New York, and Connecticut. The company designs and installs all Infinity Energy Systems in-house, and each system includes solar panels, microinverters, solar batteries, and solar monitoring. Solar financing is available to qualified customers — Infinity Energy offers solar loan and solar lease options, both of which include a 25-year warranty.

Infinity Energy is not NABCEP-certified, which doesn’t necessarily reflect poor service or quality, but a NABCEP certification does ensure that a company has undergone additional training on solar installation and technology best practices.

This was the easiest and quickest project I've done in my home. The people at Infinity were extremely helpful and kept us up to date on everything throughout the entire process. They handled all the paperwork, permits, etc. and the system itself was installed in less than a day. I'm happy with my decision to move forward with them and I am grateful for how simple they made everything.

I had my system installed today, 39 panels on 3 buildings, two trenches in tough soil with other buried conduit to contend with, panel boxes for each building. A team of 10 showed up at 8:00 and were finished by 3:00. After so much experience with unavailability and delays with contractors in Sullivan County this was a breath of fresh air. The team was professional, caring about aesthetics and approach, and had a strong work ethic. I cannot say enough good things about this experience. I will follow up after the system has been running for a few months.

I had a 5-star experience with Infinity Energy, from the initial sales call to getting my system activated. Adam K, the solar consultant, was very informative, pleasant, and responsive throughout the whole process. The installation crew are all in-house employees, and I've never had such a professional crew work on my property before. Nate the electrician, Kyle the roofer, and the rest of the team (Dave the electrician, and Brian, Alvaro, and Kavon the roofers). They introduced themselves when they arrived in the morning, were very respectful of my property (at the end of the day, after they packed everything up, they did another walk around the house just to make sure they didn't leave any garbage or debris anywhere), and made a real effort to route all conduits and cables in my attic and crawl space and leave the roof clutter-free. Yani, Amanda, and James at the office handled all my emails and calls about the status of the permits, inspection, interconnectivity, and anything else I wanted to know or ask. The whole process is hands-off - you sign the contract, pay, and they take care of everything, including all permits and applications, and any corrections or changes.

From the first call to installation, everything went smoothly and as promised from Infinity Energy's side. The town permitting process was a total pain but they took care of it all. I'm excitedly watching my system produce and look forward to years of savings!
