In-House Team

Sunburst Solar handles every aspect of the solar process for customers. The company even takes care of all the permitting and paperwork.

Once you reach the installation part of the process, Sunburst Solar's technicians are all factory-trained and certified professionals. They are licensed, bonded, and insured).

Additionally, Sunburst Solar's products are subject to a 20-point inspection before installation and a 25-point inspection after installation. This ensures that the equipment was installed correctly and that homeowners receive the maximum production from their panels.

Company Guarantees and Warranties

Sunburst Solar offers a 25-year production guarantee. This means that a solar system is monitored daily, and if the system fails to generate the maximum amount of power, consumers will be refunded the shortfall.

Although the equipment manufacturers cover a solar system's individual components, Sunburst Solar offers a warranty against roof leaks if the solar system causes them. This warranty lasts up to 10 years.

Financing Options

When it comes to paying for a new solar system, everyone's situation is unique. That's why Sunburst Solar offers both financing options and leasing. While many solar companies will only provide solar loans (believing they are inherently better than leasing), we appreciate Sunburst Solar offering leasing options. This allows the homeowner to choose what will better suit their current situation.

Sunburst Solar is financially backed by Blackstone and Truist.

The Bad

  • Undisclosed Information

Undisclosed Information

Although Sunburst Solar is pretty transparent about its process and what consumers can expect, there are a few items we feel need to be included that could help consumers decide whether or not this company is right for them.

The company mentions that it only installs high-quality solar products and is partnered with industry-leading suppliers. However, the company does not disclose which brands those are exactly.

While consumers can contact the company and ask for this information, it would be helpful if it was easily accessible on the website. Having this information upfront would allow consumers to look up the manufacturer's equipment and workmanship warranty and decide if they are interested in it.

Additionally, Sunburst Solar does not provide consumers with a specific service area. Again, the consumer could contact the company directly, but it would be much more convenient for the company to provide this information upfront. As of right now, the company states that it operates in California, Florida, and Texas. However, there is no mention of which cities are within the service area.
