The Good

  • Clear Project Outline

Clear Project Outline

Stanley Roof and Solar makes going solar simple by breaking the process down into three simple steps. During phase one, you will work alongside Stanley Roof and Solar to determine your solar panels' size, placement, brand, and orientation. In the next phase, Stanley Roof and Solar prepares a detailed estimate (complete with pictures) to choose from. The third phase is project completion with the installation of your new solar system.

The Bad

  • Missing Pertinent Information

Missing Pertinent Information

Stanley Roof and Solar's website lacks the detail we'd like to see, especially when it comes to its solar services. The website does contain some general information about why consumers should consider going solar and the benefits. But, we would like to see more about the company itself and what customers can expect when choosing Stanley Roof and Solar to install a solar system.

The company fails to mention which brand of equipment or what kind of solar panels it uses. The company also fails to mention the training its installers or technicians have, or if they are certified.

There is a financing page, but it only mentions financing for the company's roofing services. It is unclear whether Stanley Roof and Solar offers in-house financing for its solar services.

There is also no mention of how long it will take to install the panels. Most solar companies will provide at least a general timeframe of when most projects are completed (just to give consumers an idea of what to expect).

And while we appreciate Stanley Roof and Solar breaking its solar process down to three easy steps, they are a bit vague and we wish there was more information regarding what happens during each step of the process. Even providing a short bulleted list would give clients a better idea of what to expect.

Unfortunately, not providing any of this information on the website leaves potential customers with a lot of questions. It also may persuade consumers to spend their money elsewhere. Although we are confident that if you contact the company directly, Stanley Roof and Solar will provide more details. That said, we wish the website included more information.

The Bottom Line

We recommend that consumers take their time and research Stanley Roof and Solar before signing any contracts. Unfortunately, there is missing or unclear information on the website, which gives us cause to hesitate. The company does provide information regarding its roofing services, but not as much when it comes to its solar services. For this reason, we think that it's best to contact the company directly and make sure it's a good fit for you, your budget, and your home.

I am so impressed by this company! They went above and beyond my expectations. Upon finding my roof damaged, I was frustrated, knowing the insurance and repair would be a hassle. I reached out to Kyle at Stanley roof and solar to ask a question about the claims process, knowing that they were experienced (referred by a neighbor). I spoke with Kyle, and he inquired if I had looked into a contractor, which I hadn't, he asked if I wanted to make a meeting and assured me he would take care of everything. After taking a quick look at the roof, he then showed me how the entire process would look like; from removing the old roof to cleanup. He also educated me on how the roof and it's layers work together. He even touched on what the insurance would cover. It was very reassuring to not feel like I was going into the process blind, and knowing I had chosen a trustworthy, reputable company to work with. The day of, Kyle introduced me to the team so I would know who was on my roof. And, man they absolutely blew my mind! They got the entire job done in ONE DAY. Maybe 12 hours total. I expected it to take several days. My roof now looks amazing and it gave my house a new breath of life. I would recommend these guys a million times over! Thanks for all the help, Kyle ☺️

If you don't use Stanley Roofing and Solar for your project, you are making the wrong choice. I don't ever write reviews, but they deserve the accolade. They were timely, efficient, friendly, overly helpful, and have gone above and beyond to help us with our project! We had comp & metal roofing removed, excessive repairs of plywood and fascia, new comp installed, questions about our membrane deck, special order skylights...on and on. To the extent that I called to have more fascia replaced, in the midst of the busy repair/leaks season, and I have a crew at my home less than 24 hours later. Really above and beyond - thank you to Joe, Tara, Matt, Jon and your hard-working, killer crew! I will be hiring them for a new comp roof on an investment property in the next few years. They do outstanding work and I fully feel I can trust their work. While the bid was not the lowest of the two, the warranty was outstanding and that was worth paying extra.
