I had my solar system and Tesla battery installed by them in 2017. The sales team was very attentive and the process was smooth. The install went well and the installers did a good job. Only thing I was worried about is that the installers were not in a marked company van and took a little longer than expected for install but outcome was no issues. So far, two years the system had very little hiccups and working as expected.

Representative came was all sales. Didn’t even look at roof for any potential issues. Only looked at panel at my urging. We have an older electrical panel and I was concerned about any last minute costs and was told it would be only $1500, however, I noted I was concerned it would be much more expensive and didn’t want to sign until they told me all costs. Although I asked to be sent the proposal and financing options, I never received anything. I called office aft 4 days and they had the representative call me. When he did, he said I had to contact Edison for them to spot new panel location so they could tell me full price. I expected a turnkey process.

I had a great experience working with Solar Optimum. My friend referred us and the company was easy to work with. Everything from sales, site inspection, HOA, design, and installation team. The only delay we experience was solar panel itself. Thier inventory was low at the time and we had to wait for about 3 weeks for the panel shipment. Other than that, the installation process went very smoothly and was completed in a day.

What could go wrong did go wrong. The only time they contacted me without repeated attempts on my behalf was when they wanted money. Monitoring was never set up and I'm pretty sure that the grid profile is incorrectly configured for California. Recommended many people to not choose Solar Optimum.
