SoL Energy is a full-service PV engineering, procurement, and construction company. The company offers a variety of turn-key services for its photovoltaic systems.
SoL Energy conducts business in the Roaring Fork Valley, which consists of Aspen, Snowmass Village, Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
SoL Energy is an authorized RENU Contractor.
RENU is Colorado’s statewide residential loan program sponsored by the Colorado Energy Office (with Elevations Credit Union). The program aims to make getting a residential solar system and additional home energy upgrades more affordable by offering low-cost, long-term financing for energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements.
If you’re interested in seeing more about the RENU program, SoL Energy provides more information about the terms, interest rates, and possible fees on its website.
SoL Energy recognizes the importance of a capable and competent staff. That’s why SoL Energy goes to great lengths to train its technicians properly. The company’s training program is extensive and is based on the real-world experience of PV integrators.
SoL Energy has helped developed some of the leading trending programs in the country.
Now, we understand that most consumers don’t think about staff training programs when looking for a company, but it is extremely important. A better-trained staff generally means quicker installation time, fewer mistakes, less money out of your pocket (since you’re paying for fewer mistakes), and happy customers.
The fact that SoL Energy goes above and beyond with its training program shows us that the company truly cares about doing a good job and takes its responsibilities seriously.
On its website, SoL Energy gives a general walkthrough of what consumers can expect when working with the company. The first step begins when you contact SoL Energy for a consultation and from there goes through site visits, panel design, installation, and finally monitoring and follow-up customer support.
This is helpful to potential customers as it gives a pretty good layout of the process and what they can expect during each step.
SoL Energy appears to be a legitimate solar provider that is trusted throughout the Roaring Fork Valley community. However, to help draw in more customers, we feel that SoL Energy should disclose more information about its solar equipment, warranties/guarantees, contract lengths, and even a bit more about its financing options.
While we are sure that SoL Energy goes over all this information in more detail while talking with a customer in person, it would be nice to disclose the information on the company's website. That way, consumers don’t feel pressured to contact the company directly (and potentially be coerced by a representative to buy or sign up for a consultation).
Although SoL Energy states that its project managers are not paid a commission for sales (therefore less likely to pressure you into buying), some consumers simply prefer not having to contact the company directly at all.
SoL Energy’s mission is to “Maximize the efficient use of clean, renewable energies for transformation to a sustainable world.” And it’s making that a reality by installing PV solar systems throughout Colorado.
SoL Energy dedicates significant time to training its technicians to ensure that each solar system is designed and installed correctly. And the company is an authorized RENU contractor, which is Colorado’s statewide residential loan program, so consumers can potentially get financed through RENU and receive all the program's benefits.
We're on a mission to empower consumers to make the best decisions and connect confidently with companies that deserve their business.
