In an effort to provide solar panels options to clients, PGT Solar Solutions has partnered with three tier-1 solar manufacturers. Clients, depending on needs and desires, will have their pick when it comes to selecting the most efficient solar panel for their specific needs. PGT Solar Solutions clients have access to the following solar panel brands:

PGT Solar Solutions is a SunPower Master Certified Dealer, and was the 2020 SunPower Regional Dealer of the Year. The solar provider's partnership with SunPower, one of the leading solar panel manufacturer's in the world, provides Phoenix homeowners with the best of both worlds: the responsive service of a local solar installation expert, plus the long-term reliability of some of the most energy-efficienct solar panels on the market.

Most solar installation companies will offer one solar panel brand/manufacturer and there is no deviation from this offering. PGT Solar Solutions wants clients to have a more customized experience with varying solutions that best suit the needs of the structure, users, and property itself. 

Inverter Installation

Solar panels get all of the attention when solar systems are discussed. They are the most visible equipment within the solar system, but the cornerstone of a solar system’s production and efficiency falls on the microinverters.

PGT Solar Solutions understands the reliance on inverters and has partnered with one of the industry leaders in microinverter manufacturing. Clients that use PGT Solar Solutions will have access to the newest Enphase products, including the IQ8 Microinverter.

The IQ8 microinverter is the first solar inverter that utilizes split-phase power conversion that is capable of efficiently converting DC power to AC power. Enphase microinverters will work seamlessly with all of the solar panels providers PGT Solar Solutions installs.

It should be noted that not all solar companies place as much of an emphasis on inverters when it comes to manufacturer partnerships, but PGT Solar Solutions understands the importance of this equipment and technology thus offering the industry’s best to its clients. 

Backed Warranties

Having a solar system installed is a financial investment. Even with federal and state tax incentives, solar customers can still expect to pay thousands of dollars for solar equipment and installation services. While this investment should pay dividends in the long run, there is still a hefty financial sacrifice made upfront for renewable energy production. As a result, solar installation companies typically offer a number of warranties to clients protecting this financial investment. 

PGT Solar Solutions clients can expect the following warranties:

• Limited Defect Warranty: 25 years
• Limited Peak Power Warranty: 25 years
• Warranty Transfers Available

PGT Solar Solutions ensures clients that all equipment is backed by industry standard warranties. That being said, the warranties available through the PGT Solar Solutions manufacturing partnerships allow for comprehensive coverage and limited exclusions compared to other equipment providers.  

Battery/Storage Solutions Available

While many solar installation companies are starting to offer battery and solar storage solutions to clients, few offer the LG Solar Chem storage system. The LGE Energy Storage System batteries are highly sought after as they utilize Li-ion NMC batteries. The LG Chem storage system boasts a voltage range of battery of 350-450V DC, one of the most impressive ranges in the solar battery industry.

Similar to the Enphase micoinverters, the LG Solar Chem storage system works seamlessly with the solar products that PGT Solar Solutions installs on its clients’ properties. What sets the battery and storage solutions offered by PGT Solar Solutions apart from the rest of the industry is the equipment and technology clients will have access to through the LG Solar Chem system.

• No NABCEP Certification

No NABCEP Certification

The North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners (NABCEP) is widely considered to be the most respectable independent certification organization within the field of renewable energy. Many solar installation companies, particularly companies that install a wide range of equipment products, will have at least one in-house professional (usually in the installation department) that is NABCEP certified.

This certification, while not required to conduct or manage solar installations, demonstrates a level of understanding and skill that solar clients can rely on. Unfortunately, there are no PGT Solar Solutions technicians on staff that have obtained NABCEP certification.
