While everyone we met was pleasant, we do think it would help if they had a different method of project management. Our system was not properly hooked up in the sense that the panels were not all entered in the system so half were not counting in the energy tally - it took techs 3 weeks to come back and fix that. Installers were quick, but left exposed roof areas between some panels for vents. After they finished we looked and mentioned it looked like 2 panels were missing. They explained why they did it that way and said they “ could have moved the arrangements to keep them all together” but they didn’t ask us so we never had input. Found that there are ways to install over those areas that they didn’t use.Communication was not always smooth: many different contacts for separate parts of the process. We haven’t received a manual or link to one for our system. Our Powerwall did not arrive yet, over 6 months since we signed our agreement. That is supposedly a COVID related delay issue with Tesla.

To begin... the salesman felt quite pushy, He was very informed though but some of the crucial answers were vague, then we had some more questions and referrals to do but never heard from our salesman again, after that all was corporate level deal, several people sending emails back and forward, was a little confusing and overwhelming, then after a few months people came installed our things really quick, no complaints about that, my biggest deal was that our financial information was not accurate, things didn't happen as was informed and when asked their answer was more like "ask your taxes person" sooo just make question and ask everything in writting before you sign, have them comeback and explain again to make sure the story doesn't change like it did with me. Good luck! you will need it...

I had researched different prices from companies and Moxie is local - that was a big one for me in the fact that if problems were to come up, I felt like having a local company would be nice to go to the office if I needed to and they would be more responsive. Turning on the system was more delayed than I cared it to be. I feel like I wasn't kept in the loop in terms of the process and how long things were going to take. I was always emailing them asking questions. I will say that the customer service rep I talked, Stacey, was terrific. I mean she did a great job answering all my questions. but everyone else could have been so much more proactive in keeping me in the loop of what was happening and about how long the process would take and how things are supposed to work.

They weren't very good at calling back. I think they were growing very rapidly at the time we were using them and we just didn't get a call back so it's kind of disappointing. When they sold us the product, they had communicated to us that it was all the company-run people that were doing it. WHen they came out to install them, it was a subcontractor and they tore up our whole yard and left all kids of holes and didn't fill them in. The equipment is good and we get a lot of power.

The process of installing solar is very complicated and deals with many different companies and agencies. I think each client should be assigned an agent that oversees & directs the process from start to finish. Someone that knows what's going on with your project at each stage and is the point person for all subcontractors and agencies to contact for direction. I also think the sales team could and should do a much better job of providing accurate and precise information about the process and have knowledge of the rules and regulations in the area they are selling the product.

Great up front, but then break down of communication and being passed around to too many people without clear timelines for install. We felt like our $16,000 purchase was considered small when to us it was a big decision to invest in solar. We would receive requests for money but then updates and installs were always delayed or poorly communicated. We also had to ask just to get a paid invoice once the job was complete, just not clear who does what, or who moves things forward in a timely way. Great product, but a hard process.

Rating Moxie Solar is a difficult task. For example Customer Service ranges from "Excellent" from some the office staff to "Poor" for the salesperson who visited my home. Value for money is the same situation, the products they sell are top notch and many of the installers were great. But we also had one installer who literally did an oil change on his van in or driveway leaving a large oil slick and another installer who left the panels on our grass which searched 12 rectangles into the grass.

I don't feel like the communication was very good. They installed our system on Christman Eve into the evening in the dark and the weather was bad. I kind of feel like there were some issues that kept them from getting this done earlier and we were quite worried about their safety as well as our liability if anyone were to fall. It was literally them getting this project done at the very last minute for 2019, which I appreciate but also we didn't want that at the risk of somebody getting injured.

The electrical crews who helped with installation were quite helpful. There was a little difficulty with wiring the fire alarm out of the garage for the panels, but they were able to figure it out. Since installation, we've had a few electrical issues but they've been extremely helpful to fix those.

Everyone was good except the permit department. They let the City approval sit for almost a month. Our installation was 2 months after the hopeful completion date on the contract. No notification to the customer service department. Called for updates at least 10 times. Need to improve the communication between departments and customer.

I had good support from them. It took too long for them to get the panels up. Then after I got it running, I had about three banks that were not running properly and it took too much time for them to come out and replace them.

The system failed after about a year. I've been disappointed because of the issues. When our system went out, they were supposed to be monitoring it every day for production or every week and let you know if something went wrong. It was two months before we got it repaired and nobody contacted us.

It took a while and the installers were not kind to my property. They didn't pick up after themselves and clean it up or anything like that. A lot of trash. The sales rep that I got is not a good sales rep. He's not nice and was very overbearing and psuhy.

At one point I was having issues with the prject manager. The problem was I would change things and he did not want a change so I had to call up to his boss and everything and they ended up changing things for me. The brand they're selling is very reputable.

The equipment's fine, I just don’t know anything about it. I made several calls and never received a reply on any of them. When the panels were installed there was no information give on how things really work and I needed to be able to figure out myself where all the breakers were and what switches are to be switched.

Price is good and I appreciated the general knowledge of the sales rep that I was working with. The project management was absolutely terrible. Follow-up during the installation was very poor. The installer showed up and walked away. It took me reaching out to them to get any information on how the system actually worked. There was no walkthrough.

Moxie was great with information and getting our system installed for our farm and home. We enjoyed the savings for a few months but then in February our system broke down completely. It is now June and we still don't have a repair date from them and believe me I have made numerous calls and sent many emails. We are very dissatisfied with their service department.
