I found nothing but good reviews and the length of time Moxie has been in business made me believe they knew what they were doing. Salesman was on point knew what he was talking about. But he must have missed the meetings that were very important. They said that I would gravel under my panels but I ended up paying out of pocket and fight to get reimbursement. Then it started to go down hill from there. The system wasn't producing and wasn't notifying the online service portion. The sales guy either was let go or quit. He sent me a text telling me he no longer an employee. For a little I was in the dark. I started looking online and found so many more people going through the same thing with Moxie Solar I was and all about the same time. It seems like Moxie is having a hard time catching up to with the covid stuff but it doesn't give the employees the right to be mean and disrespectful to their customers. Since the original sales guy left I been dealing with an employee that calls me a liar even with the former employees communication to back me up in emails and text messages. The former employee told me several times that all customers who buy solar will receive a tax credit of little over $8,000. When I bring this issue up I'm told I am a liar then I show them the message from the former employer and then the sales guy ignores it. Most likely because he was told too. Today I received the promo rebate after almost a year of being with them. Because they haven't answered my phone calls and addresses the issue of the wiring was wrong I had to call to cancel the loan. I sent an email to the sales guy then he called me a liar again and said I didn't cancel the loan. Then I started to get lip from Corning Credit Union and Sunlight Financial because I started the process of canceling the loan. Today Corning sent me a polite email informing me they are going to take the loss for the loan. This is because I had to file a complaint with the BBB against them and the Civil rights because one of the Corning Credit Union employees that it was cute to demand me to tell him what disability I had. Which is wrong on all levels and against the laws. So a whole lot of misinformation from the first sales person to the new one who's been a bully I give this company one star. There was the issue where my control box came up missing while deployed. Then there was issues trying to hire someone to reinstall the box because Moxie refused to have someone come install my new box. The biggest issue with getting it installed was that there's no neutral wire. So now I need to hire a company to pull the black negative wire out and put in a neutral wire. It was going so smoothly at the beginning in September 2021 upto November. I truly believe there are some good workers still there. However they have been thrown in front of the bus 🚌 with all the mess to clean up. I have a nonworking system in my yard and Corning will not pick up the solar system because they can't do nothing with it. That's why they are taking a loss and most likely will never do business with Moxie Solar anymore.

Moxie Solar did everything they promised and did it quite well. I just received a call almost a year after the installation was complete informing me the state of Iowa has funded the solar tax credit this year and we are eligible to take advantage of it. This was an unexpected but clearly a very nice phone call and shows their continued customer care. I have to say Moxie Solar has been outstanding in everything they've done for us. We continue to see the benefits of installing solar in our reduced energy costs each month. We are very satisfied customers and very happy to give this company and all those we dealt with on this 5 stars.

I've seen Moxie buildings here in the Quad Cities and I want to go to somebody that was local for my solar. It's been been very good so far. Customer support's been really well and able to explain things to me whenever I had questions. Installation went rather well. They worked with us when we're trying to get a roof done and then they came out and they were able to finish it and get everything hooked up. Everything is gone through in the lighting system and have had no problems so far. I'm a disabled veteran and I didn't qualify for some of the the discounts on the products, but everything still worked out rather well.

My experience with Moxie was great from the start. I had quotes and sales presentations from two competitors prior to Moxie. The choice to go with Moxie was obvious! They knew their product and understood my needs and goals, unlike the other two competing companies. All of their staff were always friendly and attentive to my questions and concerns. There was a small problem with a serviceman unsuccessfully installing a WiFi booster for the array transmitter. It required a follow up service call for another service person to reinstall the WiFi booster. All in all, it was a very minor inconvenience in regards to the entire installation process being scheduled and completed in a very timely manner. The system has been working as it should. I look forward to getting the utility bill to calculate the monthly savings! I enjoy pulling up the Enphase app on my iPhone to monitor the daily, weekly and monthly power generated.

We knew we have had a good friend who had used Moxie. They have always been there for us. Through the whole process, we've been nothing but pleased with all of them from the first person that came in the door to explain it to us and through the whole process and after they after the panels were on. The installation people were very kind and courteous and they were just really nice people. Explained what they were doing along the way... it was a really good experience. If we were thinking about leaving this home, we would hopefully have solar panels again with them because we are very impressed with the whole whole experience and we would go with Moxie again.

If there’s anything you can take from my long it is…Run as far as you can from Moxie… I originally contacted Moxie late September 2021 to get my solar panels installed and it has been a drama worthy of an Oscar movie since them. Let me begin. The only good thing about Moxie was their price for their Sunpower solar panels was low. Regardless of how bad Moxie is, Sunpower was one of the best solar panel brands that I found when I did my research. When our family signed the deal with Moxie, we were assigned project manager 1 who introduced herself to us and was fired the same afternoon. Our salesperson did not know about it and told us a few days later when I was asking him why she didn’t respond to any of our emails. I was then told by our salesperson that Moxie was downsizing in several states and had let go several people in their reorganization. Not a good first start and I’m already starting to worry. Shortly after I was assigned to project manager 2. She was very unhelpful with the permitting process. We were promised a month for permits to get approved for our solar panels. But when it took over a month, we contacted her who said she’s had permits take an hour to 9 months. Basically she didn’t help expedite the process and was just stonewalling me. She also soon disappeared and I was told that she left the company. I was then passed along to project manager 3 who didn’t respond to any of my emails. Finally I was then passed along to their client services team who botched things up even more. Turned out the reason why my permitting was taking so long is because they didn’t know that my county requires paper and online permit submission. Moxie had neglected to file a paper permit…even though they claimed to have done solar panels in my county before. After the permitting was done which took a month longer than expected and I lost another month of solar I could have had, I had to wait a few weeks for the panels to arrive. Those were the only things that arrived on time with Moxie. They installed them and the installers were great to deal with and courteous. We had to get it inspected by my county. Moxie botched it up some more. Moxie would set inspection dates without consulting me and I had to change work plans to be able to let both the county inspector and Moxie electrician in. During the first inspection, Moxie HQ miscommunicated to their electrician so he didn’t show up when the county inspector was here. We had to reschedule and I had to change work plans again. Also Moxie was unclear on the fact that there was an electrical inspector and building inspector so I was unsure which inspector was actually arriving. During the rescheduled inspection, the electrician failed inspection because he used an indoor breaker box on the outside which the inspector caught. He had to go out for an hour to get another one and install and the inspector had to come back another day to pass our system. After our system passed, Moxie sat for a while and I had to manually call Duke to get them to pass my unit and get it commissioned. Once our system passed we were finally operational, probably about a month and half later than promised which is better than what other reviews I’ve read were. Once operational, the units did fine for a few months. We were generating more power than we were using. Then all the sudden in May, their service advisor started to email me suddenly saying that something called the CTs on my unit had to be swapped around because they were installed backwards. She couldn’t explain to me well what CTs were and what work exactly had to be done. Regardless I still had some trust in them at the time and I let their service tech into my house again to fix. Once it was fixed, I get another email not too much longer saying that the CT fix did not fix the issue which they still could not explain to me. So they scheduled another appointment. In this second appointment, the technician came to our house unannounced (two weeks early) to our ire because I was not home and had to let them in via my phone and let them work unsupervised. The 2nd fix did not work and Moxie again contacted me stating that they had to come back another time. During this 3rd fix, the technician was a different guy and we were told that the previous technician no longer worked for Moxie. This last fix messed up my solar panels and I started to generate less power than their app was showing and started to owe Duke money even though summer time has the most sunlight. I would say that I’ve lost about $300-400 in credits and paying for electricity that I didn’t use due to their mistakes. I started to contact Moxie to get it fixed but they purposely ignored my voicemails, phone calls and multiple emails. I started to run out of options so I contacted our sales person who sold us our solar panels for help only to find out that he left the company recently. So that’s at least 4 people who have left Moxie in less than a year since I got the units. Finally I reached out to Sunpower for help and they switched me to another dealer and were able to remotely fix my units. During the remote fix, it was discovered that Moxie did not set up my individual panel monitoring so I am dealing with that now and may have to pay another company to come to my roof to get the serial numbers of my panels to get that set up. You’ve been warned.

I chose Moxie when I took a look at the various companies that I had proposed bids on. I looked at what the company standing was in the in the industry and with how they fared in the better business bureau. Installation went very smoothly. The equipment they provided was what I had asked them to provide. Very easy to reach and we're responsive when I contacted. I just thought their working with the various finance companies was was beneficial and it worked out well. I spent more money than I wanted to but then again its always the way it works.

I went online and looked up the solar companies in our area, so that's why I picked Moxie. It seemed like they cared about me and the needs that I had and just kind of treated me like part of the family. I think they had everything done in like two days. The only issue I had was there was an issue between Aliant energy and Moxie with something with my breaker panel wasn't right and it took a whole another month because they were kind of fighting between each other like "This is set up right", "No, you need to change this", but that was resolved. It took another whole month to resolve that. But the installation was great. Customer support would always return my calls or let me know what is going on with my system, what is being done next, just like what was upcoming, whats the next process pretty much, what was coming up next so I was informed. Very, very informative on the whole project.

They are a well organized installer of solar arrays. Once the paper work requirements were met, and there is a lot of that, we we put on a job schedule. Took several days to complete, as there are several steps. We did a ground mount system because we have plenty of room. Several different crews took their turn in completing their aspect of the construction. They were all respectful of our property. Cleaned up as they went. No refuse left to blow around. The paper work is phenomenal, this is America, but they helped explain whenever I had questions. They help with arrange for financing. I went with a two year same as cash option. The only downside I saw was communication up front. But given the pandemic environment that they were constrained by, no sit down at the kitchen table meetings to walk a customer thru each step of the process were possible. But they always answered the phone or replied to emails or text messages. They always immediately responded. They had multiple people involved in getting things done and they were all responsive. Installation was easy. I think they were here for two days but it was really unobtrusive. They were more expensive than other providers, I think because they have more infrastructure, but to us it was owrth it because they did everything from beginning to end, including all the interactions with the power company and helped us to get the tax information that we needed.

It's working like it should. We are very pleased with the energy that is producing and the money we are saving on our bill. When we had a question about getting the Iowa credit for our income tax we were told one thing by the sales rep and a different thing by our tax preparer and when we called the moxie office and asked for some help with it, the person that answered the phone said "I don't know" and then hung up.

It seems to be working. They need to do a little more follow-up with their people down the road. Installation was fine except we didn't get all the kilowatt we could have because they had to make the installation smaller. I wish they could have given us a chance of buying a more expensive but more towards the actual number of what they originally put down in the estimate because when they figured it out they didn't leave enough room for the fireman that are required by the fire code. They did a good job of the installation itself. Sometimes you just don't know what's going on and they don't keep you updated.

I felt like when I had questions, everyone that I spoke to was very patient with me and made sure if there was a question that they stayed with me until I felt like my question was answered. Every interaction we had with not just the staff over the phone, but with the man who came and installed the equipment. From the first point to the last point everythign was just handled so well and so professionally. Installation was wonderful and went without a hitch.

We've had a variety of people helpfing from Moxie and they have all been excellent. It's a very complicated procedure getting all of the pieces in place and they were very patient and good at explaining it to us. Installation was really smooth and they did it very efficiently and safely. The panels have been working consistently. I would recommend anyone who's thinking about it to just start the process. It's a win-win situation in terms of money and helping the environment.

It seems to work and is not complicated. It turned out that the electric panel that we have could not handle the total amount of of panels that they had originally planned to do so we had to go with fewer panels and not cover as much of our electric bill as we had originally planned. They kept in touch and did what they said they'd do so that was good.

They went above and beyond in helping me get my tax credit and they're always really kind on the telephone. The installation process was just slick. They wer professional and it went together seamlessly. It's easy to use because we have the little grid or whatever on the side of our house and we can look it up online to see how much energy we are producing each day.

It was very easy to get the panels installed. There was nothing for me to do except sit back and watch. They did everything and they asked questions about where I wanted things and took my input. I appreciate that. It seems to be working fine. They were very professional. Answered my questions and were very easy tow ork with. They handled all the permits. I didn't have to do anything but sign some stuff. Customer service were very responsive. They knew the answers and got back to me in a very fast way.

We had a lot of fun getting to know the installation team. All questions were answered in terms we could understand. They maintained an ultra-clean and very safe worksite and showed respect to us and our property throughout the 3-day installation. Tyler Lo commented that our house was the first of a kind installation, so the team paid particular attention to the details of the job, cheerfully working around heat, cold, wind and rain.

Probably the best thing about Moxie Solar was how easy it was to have them install panels. They teamed up with local utilities to hold public information classes explaining every aspect of installation and use. They answered all the questions the public had. And then they took care of all the paperwork for installation and tax credits! Plus, these public information classes were also part of a group discount, where the more people who participated, the more of a discount we got. So we got easy, tax credited, discounted panels (which are cost-effective and environmentally friendly). Win win!

It was a very good experience they were very professional and did a very good job. They got it installed very quickly... quicker than I thought. There was a problem with one of the panels after it was installed and they were out here right away to take care of the problem. They were actually out here before I knew what was going on. The system works - it cranks out the wattage that they said it would.

In the conversations I had with Moxie I decided to choose them. Also their warranty and their ability to monitor several things for free. Everything works as it should and we're able to monitor everything in our usage. Anything that I've needed they responded to promptly and we had a couple of minor minor issues that happen with the installation. But they took care of everything so I wasn't left to deal with a bunch of mess after they left. They took care of any issues that arose plus they handled all the contracts and paperwork for me so I didn't have to do any of that

I would recommend Moxie Solar to anybody. It's a good value. They were very nice and answered every question that came up. I liked all their data, their presentation, and their price. They answered every question and they even followed up a year later for the state tax credit. We have a two story house, so it wasn't an easy instllation, but it went really well and there was no mess in the yard.

They were the first solar company to contact me. Moxie Solar answered every question we've had and they've come out to fix it several times with no problem. Our inverter went bad and we weren't getting enough solar energy so we had to switch it out. I just don't feel that it's producing as much electricity as it should. I think our bills are higher than they we expecting them to be and it's not giving us the benefit that we thought it was going to. I feel like the salesman lied to us and said that our electric bills were going to be less than they really are. I'm not sure how this is going to pan out with the 20 years ROI, but right now we're starting to finally after a year see savings.

The main issue that we've was that the raised portion of it stopped working and Moxie's big selling point is to monitor it for you.They basically did not for over 4 months and I finally addressed it today and they took care of us. That was my main disappointment with them-that they it didn't appear they were actively monitoring our installation and that was something that they said September part of company. I think they did a nice job with everything... I mean they were very proactive. They were they were quick to get it in 2 days and their crew was good. We did have one issue with the installation, but they did a good job for the most part of taking care of that.

I compared 3 different companies and I and I went with Moxie because they were the one that linked up with Midwest Renewable Energy Output per solar arrays in Johnson County. The project was delayed more than I expected, but they were swamped with business at the time. Once we got started it went great. During the project they contacted at least 5 different representatives and they were all very helpful and gave me the information I needed. I'm happy and satisfied and I haven't had any problems

If I had any questions about anything, they were always really good about explaining what needed to happen and what we need to know. The installation itself was fine. It took a year to get the product because our village apparently was not happy with having solar panels so they kept postponing the permission to get it. Especially during this difficult time, they always got back to us whenever we called. They were good about getting back to us and finding out a solution to whatever questions we asked.

It's been a pretty positive experience. There was no pressure from the beginning. I've had little trouble occasionally with the interface but the equipment works fine. I haven't had the production I thought I would have but generally in good shape. Installation was quick and when I've had issues, people have addressed it and gotten to the bottom of it.

We were able to do everything after the initial visit over the computer, which was really helpful. We don't have to take time off work to work with them. I thought they were really great at explaining the process in terms that were easy for me to understand. Installation went very smooth. Our last two bills have been $14 and $16 for the month. That was incredible.

It is now June and we still don't have a repair date from them and believe me I have made numerous calls and sent many emails. We are very dissatisfied with their service department.

Doug was great with getting things done for me. Now though they have Anna and her phone mailbox is always full. The Solar is great to have. I can't wait until it starts paying for itself. There is a big tree next to my house, and I mentioned it to the salesperson but he didn't seem to care so I never got a full day of sunlight. They are a great team to work with.

The only negative I have about Moxie is that they damaged some of the drywall in my garage when they were installing. They said they would be back to repair it and it has been six weeks and there hasn’t been any progress on it getting fixed. Other than that it went smooth and quicker than I thought. It all looks top notch and we are satisfied with it.
