Orkin Pest Control

Orkin works hard to ensure that pests are unable to take over your home or office. Each Orkin employee is trained to handle a number of different common pests and critters:

  • Ants
  • Spiders
  • Wasps
  • Hornets
  • Centipedes
  • Cockroaches
  • Earwigs
  • Millipedes
  • Rodents
  • Silverfish
  • Mosquitos
  • Bed bugs*

*Bed bug control services are not available in all locations.

Orkin's Commercial Pest Control services help businesses with any pest problem. Orkin knows that even one pest can have a negative financial impact on a business and a larger pest infestation could be damaging to a companies reputation. An Orkin Commercial Pest Specialist will work with a business to target and eliminate pests and rodents to the customer's satisfaction.

During the winter months, Orkin focuses on indoor pest control with an emphasis on rodents, pantry pests, and other common household pests.
Though the services listed above are fairly extensive, Orkin also provides pest control services for a number of other less-known pests including the following unwanted pests:

Flies, stinging pests, amphipods, beetles, box elder bugs, caddisflies, centipedes, chich bugs, cicadas, crickets, dobson flies, dragonflies, firebrats, flea and tick control, horntails, Jerusalem crickets, kissing bugs, kudzu bugs, lace bugs, leaf footed bugs, leaf miners, lice, locusts, mayflies, mealworms, mealybugs, mites, moths, scorpion flies, snails and slugs, sowbugs, spiders, springtails, stink bugs, thrips, walking stick bugs, weevils, and whiteflies.

Orkin Termite Control

According to Orkin's website, homeowners spend an average of $3,000 when taking care of termite damage, and not all pest control companies offer termite services. To ensure that you receive quality services and excellent results, Orkin offers a number of termite control solutions to customers:

  • Termidor liquid termite treatments — This liquid solution is safe to use both indoors and outdoors and is commonly used in building foundations to provide a protective barrier around your home. Not only does it provide immediate protection, but it helps avoid future infestations.
  • Dry foam and Orkinfoam — Foam solutions are used to treat voids in interior and exterior walls. These may include areas around heating ducts and water pipes as well as spaces under slabs of concrete. Foam solutions have a very low moisture content to help prevent it from soaking through drywall and causing further damage.
  • Sentricon bait and monitoring — A termite treatment like Sentricon includes termite baits that can be placed in areas where termites may congregate. These termite baits disrupt the termite molting process, therefore stunting their growth and avoiding an infestation.

If you are worried that you may have termites in or around your home, it is important that you have a professional conduct a termite inspection as quickly as possible to avoid further damage. Treatment for termites is usually in demand between March-May and August-September, but Orkin has teams equipped and ready to provide service on a year-round basis if needed.

The A.I.M Approach

The company's integrated A.I.M. (Assess, Implement, and Monitor) pest protection process works to assess, implement, and monitor a home or business' pest population.

In the Assess phase, a local Orkin pest professional conducts a comprehensive inspection of the property to identify what makes the property unique, what sanitation issues or structural conditions could attract pests, and how pests might get in or why they may want to. Building type, geography, climate, soil properties, and any conditions conducive to pest activity are considered.

In the Implement phase, Orkin works with the customer to develop a custom Precision Protection™ program that suits the customer's specific needs. If a product is needed, an Orkin specialist will select the most effective treatment with the least impact on the environment.

In the Monitor phase, an Orkin professional will monitor whether the treatments implemented were the best fit for the customer's situation through regular inspections and ongoing customer service. Orkin checks for signs of pest activity like eggs, structural damage, or any new conditions that may have surfaced since the last visit. All services performed, pest activity and other recommendations are documented.

Free Re-Treatments

Customer satisfaction is Orkin's goal. If a customer isn't completely satisfied, the company will aim to make it right. If pests return between treatments, an Orkin specialist will return for a re-treatment at no extra charge. If Orkin is unable to solve the customer's pest problems, it will refund the last service payment as long as they're a current customer.

Money Back Guarantee

If you aren't satisfied with Orkin's service or you see pests and critters return after treatment, Orkin provides a 30-day money back guarantee. Free re-treatments are provided, but the company will also provide a full refund of a service payment if your expectations aren't met.

Technician Training and Certification

Orkin's training facility is a state-of-the-art facility containing several stimulated customer environments. Each Orkin technician is trained using an award-winning certification program that includes class work from Purdue University, treatment techniques, and various specialty pest issues and industry-specific employee training. This ensures that technicians are not only certified, but are pest control experts.

Home Services

A number of companies in the pest control industry do not offer any kind of home services. Along with providing pest control, Orkin offers a few home solutions. With Orkin, the homeowner can help protect his or her home from heating and cooling losses with the company's OrkinTherm® or Orkin ComfortZone®. The OrkinTherm® is an environmentally friendly wall and attic insulation service and the Orkin ComfortZone® is an innovative and cost-efficient radiant heat barrier.

All home insulation services come with a free inspection of the home's existing insulation and pest control needs. If an updated is needed, an Orkin technician will create a custom plan and discuss which of the following options are best for you:

  • Install OrkinTherm by blowing the product on top of the existing insulation in your attic or walls.
  • Roll formaldehyde-free batting insulation in your attic or crawl space.
  • Install Orkin ComfortZone in your attic space or garage.

Orkin's insulation products are made of 85 percent recycled materials and are the only pest management products to earn an Energy Star label from the Environment Protection Agency.

Additionally, homeowners can hire an Orkin Man to install a vapor barrier to treat for excess moisture in their home which if left untreated can lead to mold, structural damage, or pest control problems like bedbug or termite infestation.

Florida residents have the option to receive year-round lawn care. The company will take care of lawn pests, weeds, and any diseases that will hurt the yard.

No Stars Hello, I am filing a complaint and want the charge for service refunded for date: 12/17/2022. My appointment slot was scheduled for 8am to 10am. Technician did not show up to property until 12:15pm. There was no notification of lateness. This is the 2nd time the tech has showed up 2hrs outside of scheduled appointment? The 1st incident was September - Tech Tavon stated we should’ve gotten an email/call making us aware that the service appointment would start late - We did not receive anything?! The only reason the September appointment was done was because I was walking out of my home at 12:30pm and he had arrived at the door? This is unacceptable and now has happened twice. How do you have a 1st slot 2-hour set time for the appointment and the tech arrives 2 hours later than the scheduled slot ends? We need the inside of the home serviced? When he arrived on 12/17 after 12pm he was captured by the Ring Camera walking around the property on his phone and spraying 1 side of the home on an outside wall? But, nothing more - And no phone-call to say he had arrived 2hrs late!! I’ll be reporting the horrible service to BBB as well as a review on Google. Tara Sent from my iPhone

I originally had had an Orkin's tech out in May for a bedbugs problem which I still have so I've been calling and calling trying to get a solution. The technician used thermal heating which I paid 1650 for. I am sooooooo very disappointed in them and I am a very, very, very unsatisfactory customer because we were out of the house for almost 5 hours and after he finished we had to wait another half hour before entering. So look like the problem should have been taken care of but Lord Have Mercy 🙏 it's not and I am sooooooo very unhappy about it.

Mosquito service was awful. It didn’t work AT All. The guy who came the first day when I was signing the paperwork assured me that the ENTIRE yard would be sprayed (as in area Vs perimeter) he was incorrect. Only the perimeter was sprayed. My company I used last year had the same price per service and sprayed the entire area. Even under my deck because I had an easy access point. I have called you guys repeatedly asking to stop service and get a refund and all I get are snotty responses and that is if anyone picks up the phone to begin with. If I leave a voice mail it takes pulling teeth to get a call back. I have to leave several over a week span and if I am lucky I might get a call back. I don’t know why no one ever picks up the phone during their normal business hours. I paid In full with your company, HUGE mistake. I will NOT be coming back and I will be doing my absolute best to make sure no one wastes their money on your services again. Your people don’t even show up when scheduled. No one even came last month let alone for my reservices I requested.

Last summer I paid $3K for Orkin to eradicate bats from my home; the company came out 3 times because after the initial service, I still had bats in July and August. I had a bat this year in May, a time of year that I'd never before had a bat. I called Orkin and they came out and checked some more areas. My service is through the Amherst NY office. On 7/4, I caught a bat in my basement in a mouse trap; shortly thereafter I found one outside near the chimney on the cinder block portion of the foundation. There was also a dead bat in the basement. I called the office MANY times (the secretary has been WONDERFUL) but it wasn't until I called the Atlanta headquarters that I finally got a return call and someone came out. A bat cone was placed on an area of my chimney. This was about a month ago. I called on 8//8 to say I'd be going on vaction on 8/18; they were supposed to come back out, remove the cone and seal the chimney top to bottom. The secretary copied the regional manager, the office manager and the tech and said I'd hear from someone. I HAVE STILL NOT BEEN CONTACTED!! It's not my problem if the office is short staffed--I paid for a service a year ago that did not solve my bat issue. For me, $3K isn't an easy amount to just throw away but that's what I feel I did. There is a somewhat local pest control service; I went with Orkin assuming a national company was likely reputable and reliable. I couldn't have been more wrong. I will not ever recommend Orkin to anyone, nor will I contract with them again. I know enough about bats to know eradication isn't an easy task. But you are the professionals; don't tell me you can do something that you clearly cannot.

My dad, in his 90s, has used and paid as agreed this company since 1995. He’s selling the house so he wanted to prorate this years advance payment. They said no. No letter to potential owner(s) either unless he pays for the full year. It could transfer to new owners but only to retreat, no damage replacement as in our contract. To me this is horrible business practice and taking advantage of an older vet. Shame on you!

We used Orkin in November 2021 for attic and exterior exclusion. while the exterior exclusion was done well, the attic exclusion was not. Specifically, * Cardboard boxes were placed on the top of light fixtures to prevent bugs from getting into the ceiling lights in the second floor * the technician Ray damaged an interior wall in our bathroom and our front door We sent them pictures of said damage immediately after the technician left and were told a contractor would get in touch with us to get this back to normal and no one called. I have been patient for over 6 months now. I have email communication records of this. I have been on the phone with them 4 specific times for 20 minutes and have been assured that Chris, the manager, will call me back to never hear from them again. We signed a contract with an individual named Jonathan C and have paid the amount in full. I do not recommend this company for their terrible customer service

hope you can inform viewers about this before they hire Orkin. I hired Orkin Pest Control to tent my home for termites at a charge of 2,890 dollars. At first I thought that this was a pretty high price. The Orkin Salesman told me that none of their competition could do what they do. As soon as he left I called a company named Absolute Pest control and left my number for a call back quote. While waiting for a call back from Absolute, my wife told me not to go with a generic or no name company. I decided to tell the Absolute people never - mind, I would go with Orkin. After I signed the contract with Orkin, they (Orkin) sub-contracted the job to Absolute, the same company that I turned down for the job. The point I'm trying to make is Orkin does not tell customers that they themselves do no do the fumigation, instead they jack up the price and then hire generic companies to do the job. I'm not looking to be on the news but I felt ripped off after I found out that the company I turned down got the job without my knowledge.. I can provide all relevant information so you can inform your viewers about this.

Ineffective — rat problem. Spent $4,000 to sanitize my attic. Rep said that should drive the rat away. Rat came back and kept chewing through walls & possessions. Rep stopped responding to emails. Manager kindly came as emergency measure - I appreciated that. Yet kept insisting a hole in closet wall isn't a rat hole despite its disrupting all the traps there. Said he'd come the next day to fill the hole nonetheless. Never showed. Rat is still chewing and getting more aggressive by the day. Am contacting a competitor.

I scheduled an inspection via the website. I spoke to a customer service rep on the phone to confirm the paperwork I would need. The tech called me and confirmed both the appointment and the location. On the day of the inspection, the tech no called, no showed. There was no outreach on the part of the home office, either to notify me or reschedule, and the phone call and voicemail I left with the tech went unanswered and unreturned.

We had Orkin in 2 locations for about 5 years or so. First they couldnt get our pest issue under control and there was like 4 or 5 different techs. It was annoying. Then when we moved they helped us out with another type of pests. Then they started taking money out of my then fiances card with out permission. We did have a bill that needed to be paid but they started taking the money wothout our consent. I talked with thwm.about it and it happened again. Well later on when my father who lived in a different home with a different address needed help, they refused to help a man with bed bugs who was a brittle diabetic that was a double amputee because my name was similar. They told me why and I said I was only giving them one more chance and since they have refused service to him because of our past argument was bull! He needed help and it was a different address. Firat you take mo st without consent and then you refuse another individual. Shame on you!

Told I was responsible for my deceased mother's last payment or they would NOT provide service. Their reason is because it's under the same address. I explained to them that was when my mother was still alive & lived there but now I live there & a new customer & that I did NOT have the extra $175 to pay off her debt. He responded by asking how I plan on paying her debt. He wasn't even listening! I said once AGAIN that I can ONLY afford MY payments. I told him he can either wave my mother's last bill and gain ME as a new customer OR walk away with nothing. They refused. Personally, I think that was a foolish mistake on their part. NOW they will recieve NOTHING from me as a new customer AND they will also not get that $175 owed to them by a deceased individual. I had the very SAME situation with Duke Energy when I had to open my own account. Duke Energy did NOT hold me responsible for my mother's past 6 remaining bills. As they shouldn't. And they were smart enough to do so & gained my business in return. I understand ORKIN is a nation wide company & have their own protocols but I find it shamful that a very well known & successful company would treat potential customers this way. I suppose they think I'm only one customer & no loss to them. Well Orkin...Keep treating people like that and 1 customer turns into many. I can understand if I myself owed a past balance on a previous account but that is NOT the case. I don't think I was asking for anything unreasonable, by not being held accountable for someone else's past balance, even if that person was my mother. I remember when bussiness would go an extra mile and try their best to accomidate a customer. Nice to know that ORKIN does NOT do that for their customers and obviously do NOT CARE. ORKIN...You're not the only pest control in town. I will do my research and find a reputable company that actualls values their past and new customers and provides quality service. YOUR LOSS ORKIN! I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND!

I had someone from Orkin, Inspector come out to) give me a quote for squirrels in my attic. He quoted me an extremely high rate of $4700 but refused to give me an itemization of what was included in the quote. I sent an email and called requesting an itemization for this quote, but the inspector stated it was not Orkin's policy to give an itemization of services to be rendered and that he could only verbal -tell me what they were going to do. He said it included sealing off areas where squirrels could get in. This level of/ lack of complete customer service left us doubtful about the company. Who does this? We lost trust in the company name and started to suspect unfair pricing.

The staff in North Charleston, SC are con artists hiding behind the well established brand. The inspector pretended I had an issue that I actually didn’t have. When I told him to show me, he began shuffling and staring at his phone and then changed the subject. When I asked the manager who came out after I complained about how they were handling my service, why the inspector refused to show me what he claimed he saw, he began to immediately back up the inspector by saying he trusts him and if he says he saw it then he saw it. A technician who was actually a decent person and is probably not receiving a cut or benefit that the 2 scam artists are receiving, seems puzzled when I asked him what he saw…which was completely different that what the cons said. He even said what I was describing and the photos I was showing were NOT the issue I was being treated for. Yet we were already on the hook almost $3k. Do NOT be fooled by the “Orkin” name, this office is scamming people.

I’ve used orkin for months and at first really liked them. They were timely with their appointments and would work around our schedule. The last few appointments, they would show up hours before or after timeframes, if they even showed up at all. When I finally got fed up and chose to cancel, they didn’t care at all. My last two appointments never showed up and I took time from work to be home and they didn’t show up, call, email, text, anything. When I called to enquire, they said the tech was no longer with the company that was supposed to service my house, and didn’t send another tech, nor call or anything to reschedule. I would highly recommend going with a smaller company that actually values your business, because orkin does not!!! Very very disappointed!

I found out we had bed bugs. I went into panic mode and just called because I was familiar with the name instead of doing my homework. While they may do free estimates when it comes to other pests, not so with bed bugs. And if you decide to go with them it comes off the total, and if not you're out that money. And they don't guarantee it. After 2 treatments my house is still in disarray, most of our clothing in garbage bags and living out of a plastic tote, we still have them. Save yourself some grief and do your homework, and support a local business that doesn't charge for estimates and guarantees their work. I will never use this company again.

Orkin damaged my appliances after bombing/fogging my kitchen and living room, They were suppose to complete the entire apartment they did not and are wanting to charge me $217 my apartment is tiny well the living room and kitchen are. It wouldn’t even of come down to that, if their spray would’ve worked when they come in to do monthly sprays and if they would of sprayed more than one squirt in kitchen and barely in bathrooms spending a total of 2 mins if that in the apartment. After they do that I see more than ever and never seen any dead ones. We bought demon and that worked better than there spray. Do not use orkin they are a waste of money and not effective at all and their customer service is crap as they can’t even give you a straight answer as to what they are going to do. Will never be using them again once I move out of these crappy apartments.

Made a scheduled appointment Sunday night for you guys to come Monday June 7th. Then you called an hour before you were supposed to arrive saying you had to cancel and I was told to reschedule for June 8th today between 10-12PM EST. I said ok and stuck with them because I understand things come up and i appreciated the call at least to let me know.... WELL NOW ITS June 8th and Its now 12:02 PM... I called to ask where you guys are.. GUESS WHAT .. ANOTHER CANCELLED APPOINTMENT! Only this time I HAD TO CALL YOU to find out the appointment was cancelled... TWO DAYS of missed hours at work and another day of pests being an issue for my family. SO ORKIN OF NEW HYDE PARK ... THANK YOU for costing me hours at my job = taking food off my families table and thank you for the unprofessionalism to cancel on a customer TWICE and not even call to notify me on the 2nd cancellation. Just go with (1) Arrow or (2) Terminex or (3) Suburban Exterminating.

They charge premium prices for substandard service. $78 a month, one guy took a half an hour to spray the property, a different guy on a different month gone in ten minutes...no consistency in service. Paid exorbitant prices for preventive rodent control...hundreds of dollars for attic treatment. Less than 15 min and left the access unsecured. Filed a rodent complaint in the garage asking for assistance, got laughed at. Best part. They contact you TELLING you when you will be home for the next appointment... Not asking if the date is o.k., but telling you. People (the employees) say no problem just call us to cancel or reschedule. They use to TELL you in a week in advance, that change to three days notice, and finally a 24-26 notice for to be present at your home. So I guess if you have a doctor's appointment or work your out of luck? No, they say just call them...when they are in the office and they care if you're at work and can't call nor is it their problem if you don't get the message in time. I talked to management, that was like talking to a brick, (IMO) they clearly don't care about their clients at all, they treat the entire thing like a joke and that YOUR life is an inconvenience to them.

I had a free termite inspection scheduled along with a schedule for quarterly pest control. We are currently buying the house and do not live in it. I scheduled for the inspection between 2-4pm. I had to block my schedule, my realtors schedule and also make sure the current homeowners were not home at the time. Well, 245pm came around and I called to make sure they were still coming that day. They confirmed that I was on the schedule and that the gentleman would call when he is on the way. 430 came around and NOTHING! I called back to see what was going on. I spoke with a lady who said she was going to call the gentleman and have him give us a call personally to let us know a time frame. The rest of the day came and went with no call and he never showed up. Multiple people had to rearrange their schedule for this inspection that never happened. I called to cancel my future pest control services with them and they didn't even ask why I was calling to cancel. She just said "ok, I cancelled it for you" and we hung up. TERRIBLE customer service. 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND

Very unsatisfied ! They say they are going to check where mice ( pests ) come in and block it off and destroy nests, fill cracks and don’t do ANY of it! Then I told them upfront I wouldn’t have the $ and I would have to reschedule the guy said no worries I can bill you, I said ok. While he was here he didn’t have all of the right supplies for the job because it’s mice season right now and because of pandemic and that all stores are out apparently then he told my husband to go to the store and get steel wool to put around any areas that they could come in at (like we know, remember that’s why we were calling them out in the first place) (would have rather payed the 3.89 from Walmart for steel wool and the gas to get there then to deal with them if we are paying to get our own supplies and do it ourselves then why pay you guys 155$ instead of the 3.89 from Walmart for the steel wool) then weeks later charged my card out of no where when I was already unsatisfied with the service because we still obviously had mice when I called the manager to explain they just charged 155$ (all the money in my account) while i had no idea the money would be charged, I went to get gas my card was declined. I called Orkin to speak with a manager (I would have called weeks ago to explain about the bad service we had but my phone was off) he was very rude from the Traverse city Office in Michigan saying idk how this happened you are supposed to pay at time of service! Was very loud and mean actually made me burst into tears while I was on the phone with him saying that he’s only refunding the 100$ and then hung up on me while I was still trying to speak and explain about the first situation! Very rude and cruel ! It isn’t about the money it’s how I was treated !!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND And I will be spreading the word! 0/10 awful way to have employees treat a customer. I will be contacting a corporate office as well and letting them know the situation and how some Employees think it’s OK to treat people very unprofessional (In the middle of the pandemic 11/16/20 The Orkin man did NOT wear a mask in my home, also did NOT wear botties like you guys offer and suggest, after giving me an option to have them wear. (Of course if we weren’t in a pandemic I wouldn’t be concerned, but I have a 4month old at the time)

I had Orkin come out to my home because I had a bad ant problem. I had a small company work on it once and did not get desired results. Ants still coming in the house only at a reduced rate. Orkin says they have a 100% guarantee, so I figured that was the best business to use. When the sales person came out he said their treatment lasts for years. He said he could not give me that guarantee because I had some wood pillars for my foundation. (The home is very old.) He said I had carpenter ants, and that is why the other company could not get the job done. So I paid $800 for a one time treatment. It did go better than the other company, but still my daughter continued to have problems with ants in her room. It was not too bad, and with a death in the family and then the Covid 19 thing, the problem got set aside until I could handle it. Orkin came out and treated our house in February, and for 3 months it was fine. No more ants in the kitchen or bathrooms. But come June they were back. Not too terribly, but becoming a pain. By Sept. they were worse than ever they had been, and I finally got around to calling. Orkin scolded me for not calling earlier to report it. They said I had missed my window of opportunity. They said they could send out an inspector and charge me again for treatment. I said No Thank You! When their treatment guy was here, he just wanted to talk, he did not do as much treating as I thought he should. He assured me he knew what he was doing. It is true I should have complained earlier, but I am not the complaining type. I say unless you have money to throw away, try someone else, for this company is here to make money, not to help you out. Deborah

Company claims to offer free termite inspection as part of service. After being with Orkin for several years we were selling our home; I was told by their agent that the inspection would be included with our regular service. That did not happen and they dropped the ball. We were out of town and stressed to find this out from our listing agent who had to contact another inspection company that charged us a hefty fee for last minute inspection. In addition, when we cancelled our service on June 11th, we were told that we had one more “call back” treatment until August 11. When I contacted them today I was told I would be charged another fee of $104 to do the included “call back” that I was assured I was entitled to. There is a disconnect between their policies and what the service they give. Unhappy customer who would like a “refund” for last service or a treatment ASAP.

When I told Orkin that I had an infestation of chiggers INSIDE my house they could get rid of my chigger problem. I signed some long nebulous contract and they sprayed inside my house. On the 3rd visit (each visit cost $75), they neglected to call and make an appointment but came to my house and sprayed outside only. Then they left a bill for $75. I started fighting with them, told them I wanted OUT of this contract, and that they could not charge me for spraying OUTSIDE when my problem had been INSIDE. Now they have hired a collections company and hit my credit with a collection. It brought my credit rating down by 100 points. Don't deal with Orkin - they do whatever they want to do.

I feel like I've been scammed. They charged me a fortune to get rid of the mice infestation in my home. To the tune of about $6000. This included replacing all the insulation in my attic, closing up all the entrances into the house and putting a god awful make shift screening over a small part of our gutters on the front of the house. This was a year ago. I call them up to close up another hole where the mice could enter and the person who sealed it up got crap all over the side of my house. That was several months ago, and after several phone calls to the company, no one has come out to my house to scrap this stuff off the side of my house. I also signed a contract for residential pest control which every other month cost $104. Another rip off. I have canceled the program and would never do business with this company again.

1. They lie. Tell me that I can cancel at any time, but when I try to do, the fine print reveals i have to continue service for a year! 2. When I sold my house and canceled my service, they wouldn't stop billing my credit card! They are still charging me every month for a house I don't own (three payments now) and no one at Orkin can ever seem to fix the problem. 3. They cant get anything right. The sent my bills to the wrong address for *months* when I first set the account up. Now, the new owner has Orkin, and they send his bills yo my address. lol I would never recommend this awful, scam-ridden company.

We signed up for Orkin to get rid of mice. Orkin is a scam. They are selling subscription and they do everything they can to keep mice coming and not catching them. Traps they use are useless things I have ever seen(and cheapest). They catch nothing. Mice just eat bate and leave. Sticky traps are not sticky enough to catch anything. I complained about it multiple times but nothing changed. Finally, my husband went to Home Depot and bought traps there - immediately we saw improvements and multiple mice were caught. Also, Orkin claims that they come every time there is a dead mouse in your house - I was not able to get anybody in my house for 2,5 weeks. I was told that our specialist has a medical emergency. I understand but there should be someone else. Hiring Orkin was waste of money and time

Scheduled the rep they sent to be here on days I am home so they could spray inside and outside. Without a call or email he would just show up when he wanted and spray only outside ( if he even really sprayed) and then leave a bill on my door. This was not the agreement. The same guy also would try and sell me stuff (knifes, football tickets etc...) almost every time he came over when I was actually home. When I tried calling customer service to get this corrected they were not the least bit concerned about my issues or the fact they have someone trying to sell stuff to their customers. She was extremely rude about me paying my last bill... I told her I didn’t want to pay it until she assured the service would get better. I ended up paying it and ended my service with them. To summarize: don’t use Orkin, terrible customer service, terrible at actually doing the job and care more about making $90 over keeping a customer.

I called Orkin when we had rats in our home. A rep came and checked the house and sold me over $3,900 worth of work that didn't have anything to do with actually removing the rats, including sealing the foundation, blowing insulation into the attic, and replacing gutters. This failed the initial inspection and had to be corrected. Big rat traps were brought out and placed but with no bait. I called them out again and they brought some bait and suggested we use peanut butter in the traps. We had to bait the traps and remove the dead rats so Orkin actually did nothing to remove the pests. Now 3 years later, we have mice coming in so I'm not so sure the "sealing" worked. I didn't feel that Orkin did the pest control we needed. But even though they are supposed to be a pest control company, they did more to sell home repair than to get rid of the rats.

Service provider, which services all of Southeast Wisconsin. I have been having the sames issues since November 2017 even after consistent routine care. They are always late for appointments, short staff and rude customer service. The most recent issue... We contacted to schedule a service appointment on Monday and no one was able to come out until Friday...Even though their advertisement offers same day service if you call before 2 pm. In addition, they were a no call/no show for Friday's scheduled appointment . We discovered they were not planning to come after we phoned the 5 minutes short of two hour window wait time.

Told me on the phone no charge for inspection unless they treated. Then they charged anyway. Called guy said a guy in training told me wrong and nothing he could do. Yeah there is but you’d rather lose a customer.

Very disappointed! Told by technician when they would be at my home. Took the day off to be home. When I called to check on the appointment, I was told there was no appointment and there was nothing they could do! There is ALWAYS a way to honor your commitment. Guess they don’t care. Would never recommend.

Poor service. Horrible communication skills. Won’t answer emails extremely hard to get a hold of and to plan a visit to fix the problem. Still had roaches after each visit. They tried to reschedule my appointments every time I made them the afternoon before they were to come out. Had to threaten to cancel before they did anything about it. I finally had enough and just switched today to another service. I would not ever recommend them.

The bedbug exterminators arrived on time. They were finished after 1/2 hour. 4 bedrooms and 2 additional couches were treated (hopefully). The workers did not put the beds back together (It is difficult for us elderly & disabled couple to do this). Phone calls were made daily. Finally the company agreed to put the beds together in a week or so. In the meantime we are sleeping on couches. (This never occurred when we used Terminix for bedbugs a few years ago.)

It’s funny how there are so many good reviews for Orkin🤔. I had an appointment for a technician to come out 8:00-10:00 to give me a quote for service but…HE NEVER SHOWED😒. After calling and holding 10 minutes I was told that they had a regional meeting that just let out and he could come later, hmmm, no! If this is the way you treat customers and run your business, I’m not paying good money for it. Me: calling other companies.

Orkin is a fraud and total ripoff. They continue to charge me and try to service my home after I canceled. They didn't cancel my service. They "serviced" the outside of my home when we had that huge snowstorm and now came back and served the outside of my home after I told customer service I didn't want my home serviced. I've been waiting for management to call me for a month now yet nobody returns my calls. Do not use their services.

I hired Orkin pest control because I heard it was good back in the days. However, now their service has worsen substantially. I have to beg the technicians to spray the house or do at least something, every time they come to provide service. My contract is almost over, and the problem is still there. Would certainly NOT RECOMMEND ORKIN’S SERVICES!!!

I would never recommend Orkin for bed bugs to anyone. We paid them lots of money and we have done lots of the work ourselves with sprays we purchases since they do not do a good job, do not return calls or have good customer service at all. We started in Sept. and as of yet we have not had a final review to say we are bug free, we have given up calling and have just moved on since we have not found any more ourselves. We are hoping for the best and have been totally disgusted with their service. Carol Gillespie, Aurora, Co.

Very expensive, found out in the Phoenix area, Orkin uses a sub contractor for any bird work our company needed done as well as seal up the building for rats. We would of paid twice what the subcontractor was charging Orkin if we had not found out from another company about this, and it was never told to us by Orkin which is deceitful. So why hire them when you can hire the sub contractor .

I'm very disappointed with Orkin. I have always used them for pest control. They came out last year around March 2018 and serviced my house for termites. To this day they have not came back for follow up. I have call them 5 times sent two e-mails and even called their corporate office. They had no problem making us pay a huge down payment and we in turned paid the rest in full on receipt.

We had a rat in our business and called Orkin. We are completely dissatisfied with the outcome. We were charged over $300.00 and it was not caught. They set traps similar to what I purchased at our local store. They did nothing other than what I did. I called to get my money back and was told that there is no guarantee they will catch anything. Don't waste your money. Buy your own traps, stinky spray, and tape.

If I could I would rate this company a zero. The customer service was terrible, Had to reschedule three times in order to get someone to come out. When tech did finally arrive, said he had to call inspector to come out. After numerous phone calls and a whole day wasted waiting for them, inspector finally showed up at 6 pm only to quote an exorbitant price with only one solution. No offer of financing if it is available. Will NOT recommend this company to anyone as they are unreliable and unprofessional.

Pet owners beware. They will show up an hour early and tell you to lock your pet in the basement while they treat your entire house with chemicals that are poisonous to humans and animals alike. If you’re not there to collect your pet, they will coerce whoever is there to do it saying it’s safe. They have absolutely 0 respect for the well-being and ethical and humane treatment of animals.

I was mostly happy with my service. Then for financial reasons I called to cancel my program. They refused to cancel right away. Claiming that they require a 30 day notice. Now I’m stuck with a bill that I really can’t afford right now. Shame on you Orkin.
