The technician just started off rude and seemed like he wanted to do the least amount of work from the beginning. He told me he could only take off the nests he could reach. I was under the impression that all the nests would be taken off. He didn’t clean up the nests or dead wasps that he had taken off. He came into the house asked me what he wanted me to spray I told him everything but for some reason he didn’t understand everything and would ask me what’s next after every room he sprayed.

The exterminator needs to be friendlier and more customer oriented. He did his job but was in a hurry that we did not know what he did. We were not informed that kitchen cabinets needed to be empty and the exterminator did not give us time or giving us the option to request another appointment. He only said that he was not going to do it.

I am extremely disappointed with this company! I got my initial spray done on July 12th. They said they needed to come back within 30 days of that spray to do my first quarterly spray. When I called to make an appointment they told me I would have to wait until September 7th which is 3 weeks AFTER when they were supposed to come back! I have contacted them multiple times and either do not get a response or they tell me it's because they just dont have anyone spraying in my area. This is completely unacceptable when I signed a contract with the months that were supposed to come and they are already failing to do so right off the bat. I now have more bugs in my house than I did before they did my initial spray and I'm left hanging. You can guarantee I will never recommend this company to anyone as well as NEVER use them again once I am let out of my contract.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!!!!! UNPROFESSIONAL PEOPLE, RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE, AND THEY CHARGE A LOT MORE THAN THEY OFFER. On June a Salesperson knocked on my door, he was very professional and promised the world at a big discount, but unfortunately, it wasn't true! The initial visit was not a big deal and they charged the amount as offered. For the second visit (after one month) one day in the middle of the week, around 3 pm, I received a text message from this company telling me they will be next day in my house at the morning for a second service. So I called them to tell I couldn't do because "hello!" I am working and I need to reschedule for a weekend, the lady replied the next two weekends were already taken and they cannot reschedule for more than two weeks. Then I said they cannot send me a short notice (just one day in advance) to let me know that and also I cannot adjust my time to them, I am the client!... all her reply was they will charge my cc and I should read the small letters on the contract. Long story short I talked with the supervisor and he got me scheduled for the weekend. What a surprise on the weekend I was waiting for these people in the morning as per my schedule but the guy didn't show up. Instead, I received a phone call from the company around 4 pm asking me if they could go around 6 pm to my house to do the service, obviously I refused that. After that incident there was no phone calls, no text messages... nothing... and one month after that I received again another text message from this company telling me I should be at home next morning for scheduled services. I tried to call them but no one replied. Today, they came to my house, no one was here so without my authorization they went to my front and back yard to do the external service because they couldn't get inside the house since no one was here, and guess what ?.... I just saw they charged $130.00 my cc. For a service no one authorized it and no one can tell if I really received or not. I really hope these people answer the phone and to get my money back. Please be aware of these people and use them at your own risk.

He was not spraying behind beds, dressers etc., not covering the whole baseboard areas. Please send someone to do a better job. May be he had to do too many houses, so give lesser loads so that technician can perform the tasks better.

Ridiculous! Sales man gave me a discount price when I started contract. First service was ok. Got my second service and received bill for $100 more, called to ask but their answer wasn't helpful. Said I signed, I remember clearly I signed what the guy showed me, which was my discount I was getting, but he never told me and I never saw that the discount would only apply for the first time ,that if I wanted to cancel I would have to pay the discount I got the first time, pay the second service, plus the cancellation fee. I've seen several complaints similar to mine. Obviously if I was aware of the price at the beginning I would've never got the service, too expensive and poor expectations. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Can I give something lower than one star -- like a minus 10? I called in for a re-apply. The technician showed up and said he was scheduled for a complete quarterly application. I told him no, just the re-apply. He did the re-apply, then a few minutes later I got an email invoice for the quarterly application. I called the office, spoke with a supposed "manager" and was told that I could not cancel the service unless I paid an additional $180, but he would schedule the quarterly application to actually be applied on the next Tuesday. Tuesday came and went -- no bug technician. I called the office again on Wednesday, and was told my account showed the entire quarterly application had be applied on the day the re-apply had been applied, and there was no appointment scheduled for me at all on Tuesday. My account showed the complete quarterly application as already having been applied and paid for -- so the "manager" I spoke with did not do anything to help. I just spoke with the office again, and a very nice woman rescheduled the re-apply and promised to send my complaint onto a manager. We will see what happens, now. Not a company I would personally recommend for service!

I very rarely give negative reviews or comments but this cannot be ignored. I had my home serviced yesterday by Stephen S. I watched him have a conversation with my wife who was home mind you through my ring camera. Walking back to his truck he was on the phone. He apparently sprayed the front of my house and proceeded to the side still on his phone. 5 minutes later I see him still on his phone walking back to his truck. My camera turns off after inactivity. I dont think much about it and go back to work. 30 min later I get the service write up stating my gate was locked and he couldn't proceed. MY WIFE WAS HOME!!! The guy just left AND left without his spray bottle that was left in front of the unlocked front gate. My first service was uneventful and I have seen less ants in general but this lackadaisical attitude is totally unacceptable. The person I spoke to was friendly and promised to make this right....

The salesperson and the advertising video, on the webpage, tell you about how it should work/be done, but the person doing the service didn't seem to have received the information and exactly told what to do. Job just half way done by very nice technician, but I had to call him back to do more and still today find areas that were never inspected, cleaned or even looked at by the service.

Worst company I've dealt with. My exterminator showed up, didn't knock on the door and supposedly sprayed outside and then charged me $120. The app does not work at all on Android. You can't send messages, feedback or use their "Free re-schedule" service switch. After calling four times, they attempted to re-schedule my free service, and apparently the only person who was competent enough to accomplish that was not available and would call me back. Long story short, I was never called back, and then called SIX additional times to cancel my service. The cancellation fee was $150. Aptive claimed since I was so inconvenienced that they would drop the cancellation fee down to $120. Whatever. For a $120 I was able to uninstall their crap app and end a relationship with a disorganized organization that hasn't a clue on effective operational management.

For first impressions, this was not a good one. My wife wants to drop you guys after the first visit. Not sure what type of treatment he used, whether it was liquid or granulated, but the guy was only here about 15-20 mins, never came inside the house or garage, left our side gate open(to which my dog could have gotten out), never got rid of the wasps I told and showed him about, didn’t clean off all of the eaves and never told me that he was actually done with everything. I assumed he was still here until my wife came home and asked about the exterminator. We have been loyal to mikes pest control and decided to give you guys a try because of what your sales guy showed us. If this does not get rectified I will consider this a breach of contract and cancel service.

We specifically signed up for one annual contract, yet Aptive continued, we called and spoke to your Chicago number we even turned away your field employee noting we only engaged services for one year yet we were charged. We called the Chicago number again and spoke to 2 different reps, they still wouldn't refund and transferred call to a 'manager' called Brandon who still could not resolve stating service was performed on the very day we turned away your field rep. Brandon stated the refund will need to be considered by the branch office, for which there is no different number than what is listed on your communications for Chicago and ended the call without resolution. We did get refunded but the experience with Aptive not good. Your field person should not have lied and your reps should have been equipped to handle the case.

First technician refuse to remove the wasp hive around the perimeter of our house. He said it’s workmans comp he’s ladder is not that long to reach the hive, make some good suggestions but that’s not my point. My point is to make at least some effort to remove but didn’t do it. Satisfied with the the other work he did but not the one that I’m asking.

A salesperson from Aptive Environmental came to my house on or near 8/20/18 and offered a service that would rid our property and home of insects and bugs such as box elder bugs, asian lady bugs, spiders, and wasps. They applied the first treatment and charged us an initial fee of $52.49. They then came out and applied their treatment on 9/17/18, 12/5/18, and 3/19/19 and charged $106.05 on each of those visits. After the 3/19/19 visit I called to cancel the service because I still had multitudes of Asian ladybugs and box elder bugs in and around my home and didn't want to waste any more money on this pointless service. I was told I had to pay for one more treatment per our contract, that I never received a copy of, or I would be billed an "Early Termination Fee" of $175. I told them that their service wasn't working as advertised and I wasn't going to waste anymore money on this sham. They said if I didn't pay the early termination fee, I would be turned over to a collection agency. Yesterday, they sent me a bill for $180 that says "Initial Discount Reimbursement", which I will not be paying. There are over 500 complaints by other customers on the BBB website. This company is a sham, it scams people, locks into a direct debit agreement to tap money from your account for their bogus service. The two other times their reps have tried to apply the 4th treatment around our house they admitted that the sales people just tell customers what they want to hear, that they will be rid of all kinds of bugs but in fact they're service only gets rid of certain kinds of bugs - not the kind I had wanted to get rid of, and that the sales rep had lied when selling us this service - so the company is committing fraud as far as I'm concerned.

I am very sorry to say BUT Claudia from Aptive missed part of home and cobwebs!! Very Disappointing first service and imopressions!! The front inside patio... she said she knew what she had to do and she would take care of all the current corners outside the house that had cobwebs BUT when I checked after she left I saw there are big cobwebs and I have taken photos to show that. I am extremely disappointed at the very first service given to us and being charged for unfinished work! Also, Claudia said to me that she would leave 2 Fly traps for me - front door and back door but she didn't do that either !?! I have no idea if Claudia has done a good job for the test of the house ! Pretty disappointing service!! I don't know if I can trust her to do the job!! I am hoping that someone from Aptive will call me to let me know why they sent someone who could not do the job in a satisfactory manner!!! I feel cheated and I have been charged $$ for a service which was not done properly as promised!!
