The guy named Jason, I gave him a 10 out of 5. But the person who handled my actual mortgage, I don't actually even know their name. That's how much I talked to her that she would get a -1. There is a very mixed emotion. It's messed up because my mortgage handler didn't actually do my mortgage. So it was a really, really jacked up experience.

Overall, AmeriSave was pretty decent. They were able to get the job done in a timely manner. But they did not tell me they were going to withdraw $525 twice. They ended up putting it towards the closing costs and all that. But at the time, we didn't have that money in our accounts. So they should have been more clear and given more clarification about when, and where, and if, there was going to be more money taken. We had great communication at first and then we had the time period where there was some bad communication. I think that there could have been more customer support available and more clarification.

AmeriSave offered a really good interest rate. But it was difficult because I worked overseas for a long time and they just didn't understand foreign income earned. It was really difficult to get them to understand that. They were changing and asking for things all the time, even up to the last day. The loan officer was really good - he tried his best. It was just the underwriters were difficult. But the loan officer himself was amazing. He was very supportive, always there to call and answer emails in a very prompt manner. He was outstanding. I'd give him five out of five.

It was a good experience for the most part. There were hiccups and stuff, but it was good. Every time I needed something I was able to get through and I was able to get to somebody. I did have a couple of complications that rose out of nowhere and I was able to even get to the loan officer or to the processing specialist or somewhere to where I could get some kind of resolution. So there was seemed to be people available if I needed help. It seemed like it was pretty streamlined so it was relatively quick.

Technically they violate loan standards for the excessive fees charge for the mortgage loan. Also bankers/reps that I've spoke with seem nice, polite and Profesional. I know I communicated my situation thoroughly and still my loan was placed into a FHA and denied by underwriting team for the reason I communicated. Certainly all laws and rules on mortgages customer service/lenders/bankers should all know state and federal laws.

We used Amerisave for our refinance of our home to take out the equity to purchase an investment property. While the refinance went fine, our loan originator resigned in the middle of the transaction. The team that was assigned to us afterwards was not as great as the one before. While they were really helpful in some ways, the loan processor was just rude, and lied to our title company and would make things seem like she told us something when she did not.

Very responsive to my questions and calls during the process. The main issue was that the originator had to go through a lot to get the loan processed correctly and it took many phonecalls to her. She did everything she could but others at the company dropped the ball. Loan Processor even told my personal financial information to my realtor - why? Not ok.

The process started off great with the first representative. As soon as it was passed on to others, my experience was horrible. No returned calls or emails. Then to compound the horrible experience, there was a mix up with the mailing of the closing documents to the co-borrower which resulted in the closing date being pushed back. I chose to go with this company because they had the lowest rates and would match if someone else had a better rate. There were a lot of delays throughout the process. It took a long time for the process to get finished and they kept requiring more documentation and times I had to resubmit things unnecessarily. They have bad customer service. Many times, people did not return calls properly and I had to inquire about that a lot.

I like the loan officer. But any of the other people that handle processing the loan did not work in sync. I was sending and uploading the same documents 2 or 3 times. Plus they even had a robot asking for information. When I'm doing a loan I want to speak to a live person. Not a robot sending me e-mails for items. The processor I had did an ok job. The underwriters didn't seem like they had their stuff together. This was not my first loan or refi and the approval took long.

Process smooth and efficient. At first my agent was accessible, friendly and professional. He said in two years well refinance again- its a 2 step process. Once closing was completed I needed questions answered. My agent didn't return texts, calls to his cell and office- even though they said he was available. I won't use AmeriSave in two years. Too bad, customer service would have kept me.

The overall process fairly good. I'm happy with the rate I rec'd, but was not aware I was buying points for the rate until I rec'd disclosures. I took a star for this issue because this hindered my ability to make an informed decision. The next concern is I started this process in early November and didn't sign paperwork until December 24th. My previous loan was an 80/15 fixed. One of the delays was Amerisave was attempting to close with me early December when I noticed the loan amount was only the 80% portion of my loan. Amerisave stated that was the only information my lender sent. I educated, I had already provided Amerisave copies of both loans for the past 12 months. Had I not caught the error, I would have been stuck with two loans again. I then took matters into my own hands and requested my payoff information from my previous lender and forwarded it to Amerisave in order to obtain the correct loan. This is where I took the second star. Amerisave staff is very friendly and helpful, but as you can read, there are significant concerns with their process. I feel there are some training opportunities that need to happen regarding their processes.

Amerisave gave an excellent rate on our refi and got the ball rolling really quickly once I contacted them. The issue came once we'd paid the up front $500 to officially sign on to doing the refinance. Once we did this, everything kind of went dark. The loan originator we had been working with stopped returning our messages and never picked up his phone. No progress seemed to be being made on the refi, no updates, and we weren't sure when it would finish. Our rate hadn't been locked, so I was worried and wanted to get to that point asap. I started reading other reviews and saw that happened a lot, so I got really nervous. I ended up calling the main company multiple times, and eventually asked to talk to our loan originator's manager. Finally (this was after ~3 or so weeks of no contact), my constant calling and contacting the manager got results. I got a date when it would be done, and the manager locked our rate (at near the original rate we got, it had gone up a tiny bit so we had to pay a fraction of a point, but it was only a few hundred extra than we had originally agreed to). After this, we got connected with a loan processor, who was excellent at responding and keeping us in the loop. It only took another month or so for it to finish, and she kept us updated the whole way through. We started our refi in early September and the whole thing was done by the beginning of November. The website you use to enter info is nice, and they don't ask for every single bank account under the sun, so it was less documentation than going through a regular bank (besides being a significantly lower rate). The mortgage servicer they leave you with also has bad ratings, so that's not great, but I haven't had problems yet. They have a fine website and seem to be professional. But most bad reviews mention talk about bad service if you have problems, and I can't speak for that as its only been a month. So in summary, if you want a great rate and are willing to take the risk of paying a bit up front and having a floating rate for a bit of time...and possibly having them go dark somewhere in the middle of the process, if you can make it through, you will have gotten a good deal in the end. It was a lot of stress though and I was half worried I was being scammed along the way. So just keep all that in mind if you decide to go with them.

I loved my loan originator, Lee E. He's funny, personable, and thorough. One thing though was forgotten apparently. The loan was supposed to have included my home insurance. Amerisave week called my provider, got all the information and told them to stop drawing the monthly from my auto-pay. Then it didn't get written in and now my insurance has been canceled because I wasn't aware for 5 months. I've tried reaching out to 3 different people with no response.

I liked my loan processor. I didn’t like how stringent their underwriters were as the things they asked were wholly unrelated to ability to pay the loan. Also, since my loan was sold, the new company can’t find my loan so now I can’t communicate with them about important questions. So now I’m frustrated. My loan processor is no longer with the company so he can’t guide me through now.
