Our loan originator was amazing, but the rest of the process and the rest of the people we worked with were awful. Specifically working with Clayton H was awful. He was rude, unprofessional, and not helpful, especially after talking with our friends who had gone through different companies and their loan processors were there to support them and not shame them and blame them for not having documents.

It took my loan almost five months to get go through. Communication was poor. I think they during the process the representatives can be in contact with the customer more and giving them more updates as to what's needed and what is supposed to be done during the process of the loan, which I didn't get much cooperation on that. I had to keep calling, calling, calling and like I said, my loan took almost five months to get approved and I think that was terrible.

Lack of good and timely communication is the main problem. After over one month from my COE, I still haven't be told who is paying my property tax which was due to be paid by October 1st and delinquent by November 1st! Called your company many times to get an answer, the first time I got through, the representative was unable to answer the question. Subsequent calls only put me on long hold over thirty five minutes which I finally gave up.

We used AmeriSave twice for refinancing...our 2nd home and then our initial home. Each refi took 6 months...6 MONTHS! And why? We don't know but once we were assigned Jessica G, our refi moved to close in just 2 weeks. I don't know what's going on at the Atlanta office, but we will never use AmeriSave again.

I have been in the real estate business for over 35 years, obtaining new mortgages and MANY refinances. I have found Amerisave to be the WORST company to try to deal with compared to all of the other companies I have dealt with. Their rates are probably among the lowest, but initial and ongoing customer service experiences are horrendous, and if I had the chance to do it again, I would NOT do business with them. I wasn't too concerned with the difficulty in refinancing with them last fall (extremely painful), figuring that it's a one-time effort that would pay for itself with the lower rate I was getting. But since then I have had several dealings with them, and find their customer service to be among the most consumer-UNFRIENDLY that I have experienced. From trying to fix an escrow problem that was THIER fault, to trying to get some basic info about putting a mortgaged property into an LLC, each time it took forever to get help, the process was cumbersome, and even after being told an issue was resolved, it turns out it wasn't. With the escrow problem, I was told that their system couldn't correct my escrow amount for 1 1/2 months, so in the mean time I had to pay an extra $600/mo. payment so as not to be considered delinquent with my payment. Don't be drawn in by their low rates and the smooth talking loan originators, and go with a different company that cares about their customers.
