My experience with Ameriserve almost landed me in the hospital! The stress they put me through was like I have never experienced in my entire life and that's the truth. Like so many other reviews this company is very shady, they were always calling from spook, disguised phone numbers and you could hardly ever reach them. During the process I had to submit requested paperwork that I had already submitted several times. After a 2 month back and forth, resubmitting paperwork I got tired of them and started the process over with another mortgage refinance company and closed my loan with ease right at the 30-day mark. IMO if you want a headache then go with Ameriserve but I do not recommend them as far as I can throw a rock and that's the truth!

Horrible. My loan officer MJ W did a lot of crazy things with my loan application like omitting credit, over estimating my home value, and never returning my calls. She had me believing the loan was all set to be approved, but it was not. One day, I get a call from a person who said he was my new loan officer. MJ just mysterious disappeared with all the documents I gave her which the new loan officer knew nothing about. After a few months, I shared my concerns to no avail. My new loan officer calls me after a week saying the loan was denied. I paid off bills using my retirement funds because MJ basically said the loan was a go. This company is suspicious. I would not recommend them.

My husband was a retired Air Force Veteran, who died suddenly in September. We refinanced our home with Amerisave about a year prior, but we lived in in for more than 20 years- never missed a payment, never late. I was not on the mortgage, but I inherited the house when he died. Amerisave has refused to comply with several Federal Laws as well as VA Regulations with repect to transferring the mortgage to me. Since 1982, the Garn St Germain Act protects a survivng Heir from foreclosure by making it illegal for Lenders to enact due on transfer clauses, and allows Heirs to assume the mortgage of the deceased. In 2014, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau , who regulates and enforces mortgage laws stated that a protected Transfer under Garn ST Germain does not have to submit an application for a loan in order to assume this mortgage. The VA says exactly the same thing, because of course, they are a Federal Agency and must comply with Federal Laws. The VA verified this when I called them, as did the COnsumer Financial Protection Bureau. Never the less, Amerisave insists that I cant assume the Loan without submitting a usual application with thoudands in fees-- which the VA prohibits. They claim that the VA is requiring it which they obviously arent. What this amounts t, is the Company is trying to take advantage of a Widow and a Veteran, so they can profit from fees and a higher interest rate, and they couldnt care less that its against the law. Its tough enough to suddenly lose my husband of 37 years without also having to also fight for my basic legal rights and save my home.

Went with Amerisave to Refinance. Got locked into a good rate payed 500 Dollars and went though he entire process, and they came up with a crappy way to deny us the rate and closed out our process and wont give us back our 500 dollars. They even cancelled the home inspection we had scheduled. They promise the world and we spend 3 weeks giving them every personal document under the sun and just like that underwriting says no. I had asked to speak with underwriting to get a better understanding, they would not speak with me. They promise the world take your money upfront and ditch you after weeks of giving them everything they asked for. The communication was terrible through out the process. Don't use them!!!! I will be spending the word to friends & family & social media platform I have..save your money & time.

Don't use this company unless you are into rudeness and are prepared to only contact them via email. They will list items they need for you to submit for the loan. You provide all the documents listed. They tell you al they need is to schedule an appraisal. You don't hear a word from them for a week, then they'll send you an email telling you how they can't process your loan without a document they never asked for and you had no way of knowing they needed. Also, they will only use email to contact you. You can ask they text you and tell you to check your email or call and leave a message if no answer and tell you to check your email. They will not do it, but will wait another week and send another request via email only that they need another document they never asked for before and are mad because you hadn't provided it a day or two before then, even though you had no way of knowing they needed it. They will also send you a link in an email for you to review documents on their website. Those documents are not on the page in the link they send you to. You can tell them via email only, they don't return phone calls or texts, that the documents aren't there and they will ignore you. Still no appraisal scheduled so you email and ask. They finally call and ask when you can meet the appraiser on the next business day. It appears if you had asked a week or two earlier about the appraisal, it could have been done earlier. They only did something when you asked about it. The appraiser tells you he will have the appraisal to the company within a week. You wait two weeks and no word. You finally contact the company via email and their response is to send you a link so you can review the appraisal, You have no idea how long they have had it. Only the link doesn't list an appraisal, just like all the other documents you were told were there but weren't and no help for you in locating the, Once again you tell them there is no appraisal on that site they sent the link to. They say to check the menu for the list of documents. There is no menu on the screen. You finally discover how to open the menu (by hovering over their logo and clicking the mouse button) on your own. No help from them. Not only do you find the appraisal, but you also find the other documents you told them weren't in their links weeks earlier. They offered on help in navigating their website. They refused to use voice mail or text to contact you. Only after you request a closing date will they contact you, and the guy you had been trying to work with isn't the one who contacts you. He has someone else do that. At closing you are given the amount you are to receive after all the closing costs. Those costs are increased by hidden fees they never mentioned in the application process amounting to several hundred dollars. Some of those fees were ones they should pay as a cost of doing business. For instance, they ask if they can run a credit check on you and you agree. The charge you $32 plus to do so. Now you have a document that tells you exactly how much you are to receive. Three days later, an amount equal to that amount is in pending status in your checking account. However, when the amount is finalized and becomes a permanent deposit to your account, it is $20 less than the amount shown on your closing documents. You are so tired of trying to work with this firm you give up and let them steal the $20 from you with no explanation whatsoever.

This is by far the worst mortgage company from start to finish. I would never recommend them. My loan was a disaster and messed up that caused many delays. Now my mortgage is messed up and still 3 months later trying to get back monies that was over paid due to their mistake with my insurance and had to have it taken out of my escrow. They owe me about 500 and still have my payments the same causing me to double pay and even after the escrow analysis. Lots of promises and nothing more. Good luck getting anything resolved as I have sent 6 emails and no response. Call customer service and they will transfer you to every dept as it is not their problem. Pass the buck as you would say. All I can say is good luck and may the power be with you if you go with them. I am going on my 4th payment now and cant wait to change lenders. I hate even giving them 1 star but you have to give something to do the review.

As someone who have done 2 home refinances and bought 2 houses, I have to say this is the worst mortgage company I have come across. Other than the initial "big talk" at the beginning of the refinance process where I was told they "were the Costco" of mortgage companies, nothing about their actions reflect anything of integrity, honesty or transparency. I made the reasons for refinancing clear and what I was looking at getting out of it. All my requests were answered positively and I went ahead and signed all the documents and sent in all that was requested. I continued sending in any additonal requested documents in the next few days. However, I stopped hearing from my loan orginator. He never responds to my email and my calls were never, I mean never answered. My tax years were confused and despite writing two letters to raise this point, it took 3 weeks for them to realize this. My loan processor reach who had no license to discuss or answer any of my questions kept telling me that he has sent a message to my loan originator and or his manager and I still hear nothing. So to keep an ongoing story short, it has been about 35 days through a refinancing process, I have no idea when to close or if I will ever close, not able to reach anyone in the company to discuss my loan is still in limbo. This is by far one of the worst company service experience I have had. This coming from someone who's had cable before and worked work contractors before. Save your time and effort and look somewhere else.

AMERISAVE=AMERISCAM - The worst mortgage under the American sun. A Bait&Switch. Read hundreds of complaints about them. They seem to exist not to refinance mortgages, but to steal $500 "non-refundable" application Fee. My L/O A, Hall wasted my time from Nov, 2020 till 2/25/21, took my $500, then on 11/25/21 informed me denial of loan was based on my debt to income ratio was 200% . He is dead wrong. I've provided him with proof that most of my credit card debt has been paid off. He ignored any proof presented to him. Amerisave seems to exist to get $500 and deny loans. I wouldn't give this scam outfit a 1 star rating. It's ZERO. Read the blogs w/BBB and others and do not jeopardize your reputation by naming Amerisave the Best Company. You are misleading borrowers and abusing Fair Trade practices by your 5 star to Ameriscam,

First agent very informative, said closing 30 to 45 days. Second agent (said she was my concierge now), seemed very on top of things. Third agent called, said he was replacing the first agent and would send me an email of his info. Started this process first week of November 2020, it is now Jan. 23rd, that 3rd agent did not send his info, reviewed closing disclosures a couple of weeks ago. Now, no-one returns calls or emails, no communication. Just want to be assured my loan is going to close and when, but there is no, absolutely NO communication . Somebody who has answers please contact me!!!

I have been with Amerisave since October 27, 2020 trying to refinance my home and I have not had a good experience. First of all, they promised me a smooth and quick process and we are now 8-weeks into it with no inside on when the refinance will happen. My loan originator Micah G was responsive at the beginning of the process, however he is not longer providing updates or getting back to me about the process. His supervisor Jackson O reached out to me one time with more promises that we were getting close to finish the refinance and reassured everything was good. A week has passed with no progress, no updates and no answers. I was told that the title company was delaying the process; however, I found out that the title company has sent to Amerisave the prelim a month ago. At this point, I don't know why my refinance hasn't been finalized and I am very frustrated and wanted my $500 fee refunded so that I can move with another lender.

My experience seems different from most others. This process started back in September and I still don’t have a closing date. I have been pushing for 3+ weeks to close on the 18th. That did not happen. The story I get is “I am busy”. I have 200 loans I am working on. Communication is terrible, been asked to supply the same docs over and over again with little explanation of what they are looking for. The stress of this process is through the room and financially I have been backed against a wall by them. There is no way to contact anyone to get help as the website is very limited. To start over with another company might delay things even more. Drives me crazy that I am stuck here with no answers and no way to contact anyone. Maybe I got a dud of a rep as everyone else seems to be doing well. If only I could get a straight answer as to where we are and what is needed but it seems to be a big secret with them and I, the customer is the one being left in the dark.

I will save you reading.. I do not suggest you start a loan with Amerisave. My experience is that they delayed processing it and then raised my discount fees because of it. While my loan agent was very polite and courteous he had to attempt to keep saving my refi. I began 9-1, today is 12-14. I provided all my documents within three days. The loan processor kept promising signing dates would be within a few days for a month. Finally, they did set me up with a notary but the day prior "changed" my points up significantly. Seems shady. I contested it and they said this happened because my loan was taking extra time to process. I reminded them that was their issue. Ameri agreed to reduce it to the original (still very profitable) amount, told me they did it but still it was significantly higher then the initial paperwork. Since then, they reduced it to the original amount. Today, 12-14 they published a new loan estimate and would believe that they tried the same trick again.

I have owned over 10 homes and had multiple mortgage companies and I have never had such a negative experience as what I am having with Amerisave. From the very beginning of the loan origination to present. Today I received a letter from my insurance company that my policy had lapsed. Somehow AmeriSave didn't pay my escrowed insurance. I even called them about a week before it was due to let them know I had received a notice from my insurance company of non-payment. They tell me a check can take 3 weeks. (Scratching my head) - Well if they knew that why didn't they expedite the payment? Now I'm having to spend my time and money calling and reinstating the policy while they get their act together and I'm supposed to be good with "most insurance companies will reinstate it without issue...." Not very comforting. Super disappointed, I hope they sell my mortgage so I can get out from underneath them. My suggestion would be if you have ANY OTHER ALTERNATIVE options, take it. Otherwise, you will most likely be disappointed every step of the way as I have been.

Horrible experience. If I could leave a zero star I would. I should have seen the red flags when I had multiple people from the same company contacting me. ZERO coordination within. I had a loan officer who wouldn't call me back for weeks. Then it escalated to his manager who also wouldn't call me back. All the while I am getting robocalls text spammed that they were missing documentation from me. I then escalated to customer service care who assigned a new loan officer. Out of the gate the first two emails from my new Loan officer were apologies that he wasn't available because of a family emergency. This was a beyond frustrating experience. We have off the charts credit scores and almost 50% equity and are trying to refinance. This should have been an easy 30 day turn around yet here we are, 3 months in and still no closing date.

Getting a mortgage wasn't hard but after we got the mortgage their customer service is the very WORST I have ever experienced.They do NOT answer their phones & you can't leave a message.I was on hold for 3 days for over 30 minutes 3 times each day & no one ever answered. When I finally talked to someone she was very nasty & hung up on me.I did not swear or yell.She wouldn't listen at all.So I can't pay my bill online.Emails don't work either!They are all inconsiderate except for our loan originator Levis. I have never done business with this bad of a company. They don't care about their customers at all after they get the loan.

I applied for a refi with AmeriSave on 7/31/20 after finding their online advertised 30yr fixed rate. My loan originator was Sade M, and my loan processor was Hailey C. The first red flag I received was a demand for a $500 application fee to apply for the advertised rate. I had gotten estimates and have done refi’s in the past. This was the first time being asked to pay upfront to apply for the advertised rate. The second red flag was the eagerness by Sade to emphasize my offered rate was “guaranteed” regardless if mortgage interest rates went up. This was reiterated several times during our initial conversation. I now realize it was a misleading and deceptive technique used to guide me not to lock in at the advertised rate. Read the online complaints from those who asked to lock in. The realization started to sink in about 6 weeks in when requests for the same documents started, that something was really not right. This was in spite of the fact my wife and I having credit scores over 800. Weeks at a time went by until another request for the same documents showed up. I became so concerned after receiving additional requests for the same documents, that I sent copies of our financial documents via email to Hailey unclear whether they were being received through the AmeriSave online customer portal. By late October, I requested a refund of my application fee. Hard lessons were learned. It pays to first learn who your are doing business with no matter how how confident you are, and especially if asked to pay upfront to receive something advertised. AmeriSave did not deliver their product after 3 1/2 months wasted. I closed my refi with a reputable mortgage lender 3 days ago, 3 weeks after applying. Do NOT call AmeriSave regardless of what is advertised. Do your due diligence and homework first. A really good place to start is searching 2014-CFPB-0010 consent order and Amerisave Mortgage Corporation Atlanta, GA online complaints.

I do not recommend Amerisave to anyone. I started my refi on July 28th and today is November 19th and still no solid answer. I have uploaded everything they ask for within 24 hour and most times within 8 hours. It takes them days to answer and when you do, its not a solid answer. They found an issue with some ones name like was like mine and it took 3 weeks to prove it wasnt me, even though they couldnt prove it was me. Then they said it looks like it might be your spouses account and it took a week to clear her from that issue. I am beyond frustrated with the constant uploading the same material over and over again. They have asked for my paycheck stub 5 times, asked for my bank accounts 4 times and my W2 2 times now. I have emailed the guy thats over seeing my account and told him after 16 weeks, I am not uploading another thing and if they cant get what they want and have an answer today, I will be taking my business elswhere. Pathetic service.

They had a good interest rate but took way too long. Started this process in June and they could not close by October so I went to another lender. I had to submit my pay stubs multiple times due to the length of time. I submitted every document requested within 2 days and they still could not close. Credit score was near 800 and not over leveraged by a long shot. Their reps did not know how to handle a Trust and actually asked me to get it out of the Trust before moving ahead. Lost the upfront fee as well. Since they are not returning the fee I am obliged to write this review. In my opinion use a lender who is not charging upfront incase this happens. Do not use this company.

My experience was not a good one. My impression is that there was a big gap between the upfront sales pitch from the company and one of their agents (a Jason R) and the reality that came out when it came time for me to sign off on the actual legally binding documents. My credit rating, by the way, is well above 740. I was told by Jason that the total of my closing costs would be less than $4K. When I received the legally binding closing costs document I was to sign off on, the actual total was almost $7K and that didn't include the cost of an assessment. One form said that Amerisave "may" require an assessment but another document stated that Amerisave was legally required to inform me that there would be a "management fee" on top of the assessment cost and that would go to some other company that just happens to be owned all or in part by Amerisave. The forms also required me to agree to having my real estate tax and home owners insurance payments escrowed, even tho the mortgage would be for less than 70% of the value of the property and that the insurance was already paid out 11 months into the future and taxes 5 months into the future (taxes are paid twice per year in the municipality where the house is located). The forms showed that the agent arbitrarily changed the amount of the mortgage loan: he increased it without informing me beforehand! I asked for a locked rate. The documents Amerisave required me to sign did not give me that option; they required I accept a floating rate, essentially a blank check. I questioned the agent about these things via a detailed email. He did not respond. When I asked him again, his response was "You have the documentation which I posted on our secure site and the instructions on moving forward." In other words, take it or leave it. I had wasted a good amount of time on all this, including putting together various financial documents Amerisave required, but I decided to walk away from them. Unfortunately, Amerisave now has a heck of a lot of personal information about me which I suspect they will use in more ways than one. I did end up with another firm, Alerus, which has proven to be above board with none of the issues I ran into with Amerisave. AND I got an equally competitive rate.

I would love to have the agent who is receiving 5 stars and who is easy to get in touch with, It is not the person we are working with. This has been the most frustrating experience and we have never been treated so disrespectfully. The lack of service, the total ignoring of voice mail and email requests and even the supervisor who never returns a call. Please do not tell me that your volume is too high to provide good service. You have time to send out daily text messages that totally disregard our questions. This asks if I am a paying customer. I have tried to become one so how do I answer this? If I say no, do you disregard my review?

Started process on June 4 today is October 20 . Amerisave has pulled 3 hard inquires on our account 2 in the last 2 days . This is how you get treated if your a minority . I can only assume that all the folks that are giving them 5 stars are not minorities . We were pre qualified . First loan person never returned calls told us he would float rate kept asking for same docs over and over . It was one excuse after another . Finally made it through underwriting and went to close . Because the loan was in trust they said they. Could not close in trust but would close if I took it out of trust . Rates kept going down over this entire time . We kept calling to confirm rate so we could lock the rate and could never get an answer . Finally one of the processors said that the loan officer told her he locked our rate 1/2 of a percent higher than the current rate without even contacting us . Have been told 3 times that everything would be fixed and to date nothing had changed . Stay away from this company . They do not have your best interest at heart . The only thing we received was 3 hard inquiries in our credit report that will be on there for 2 years and the loss of 500 dollars

It has been two months since I started a refinance loan (and I'm paying a considerable amount to buy down the rate just a 1/4 of a point) with higher out of pocket costs than most companies. I continue to receive new requests for documents/information that were submitted/provided the day the loan process began. The loan has not moved forward at all in 60 days. The loan originator will not return phone calls or reply to emails so I have had absolutely no communication with anyone. Today, I was given his supervisor's name and yep, you guessed it; he didn't answer my telephone call either, nor has he returned my call. I haven't even been assigned a loan officer or loan processor in all this time. According to the loan originator, we didn't need my extra income because my husband and I earn more than enough without it, yet those are the documents and contact issues they continue to request and delay the loan over. I was told the loan would be completed within 30-60 days (which it's already been). This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with and I regret ever beginning the process.

I am currently dealing with this company. It has been three months since I started refinancing and I keep getting a new disclosure almost every month without the loan going any further. I was told the loan will be done in a few weeks not long ago till I got an email from a new loan processor today and I was asked to send all the documents I uploaded before on the company website and email the previous processor. The new processor said she could not see the documents uploaded on their company website. At this point I have asked the $ 500 dollars I was charged in the beginning, because I can't start the whole process again. This is unacceptable business practice.

Run…run as far as you can from this company! This has been the worst experience! 7 weeks into what should have been a simple refinance and we have no idea of where we are in the process. They do not respond to emails or return phone calls. When we have called and actually spoken to someone, we're directed to leave a message for our loan agent or worse yet, they just hang up. CHECK YOUR HOMEOWNER’S INSURANCE POLICY, THEY PUT THEIR NAME AS THE MORTGAGEE ON OURS! They did that almost immediately after we applied. Initially, it seemed great. The first couple of calls were friendly and professional. Then we were thrown into the black hole of loan applicants. We received numerous texts directing us to the website to complete a ”task”—a task we have already completed. We are going in circles. I understand that they may be overwhelmed with loan requests but this is unacceptable customer service. We are saying goodbye to this company and our $500 and going elsewhere. I would give them no stars if I could!
