it is not user friendly because the speaker is too far away from any contact. I have a 3 story home and this does not work for my situation.

If you go with our Duo system, you can put a speaker in 2 areas of your home. However, it is not necessary to have a conversation with the monitoring center to get help. If you press your button and they don't make contact with you, they will send out help. Typically if you can't get to your phone or unit to speak to the monitoring center, you probably need help. Also with the Duo system, if you want to carry around the mobile device (GPS unit) which has a speaker you can. Give us a call and we can go over your options. You can reach us at 877-827-6207.
