Hi Suzy. If you're looking for a in home unit, those devices will never have to be charged. Unfortunately, if you're looking for a GPS device, they will always need to be charged. Luckily our device can last up to 5 days on a single charge, that's one of the longest battery life's in the industry.

The device has to be sensitive enough to detect any sort of fall, and because of this there are times where the device may accidentally activate if it hits a wall or experiences a drop of some kind.

This accidental activation's are not uncommon and our monitoring center is trained to quickly deal with such a situation so you can go back to your day without worrying about anything.
