My experience is that you have to give your your lives credit history and it's just a lot of red tape. I understand they're blowing your money and they have to have some information but it's way too extensive. I suggest if you get a loan go to your local bank it will be much faster and better interest rate I'm sure.

Using CreditKarma, I chose a loan from BestEgg from the list of options. The process was reasonably straightforward. Most of the data was passed automatically from CK, apparently. Therefore relatively painless. Dunno how it would be direct from their website. I didn't like how when I paused a few minutes on one of the application screens, a Best Egg rep called me, saying they'd noticed I had stopped, and that she had offers for loans. It was A bit intrusive: If I weren't a pro web developer who knows exactly how that happens, I'd've been creeped out. I had paused for a phone call, so I couldn't talk to the rep, and then I finished the application without another pause/call. The wait was also a bit annoying...this was touted as a "quick approval", but it was the next day when I finally got another call from them, this one simply confirming that it wasn't identity theft, then the loan was approved. To my surprise, though, it sounds like it'll be another day or two before the loan is processed. Also longer than the "you can get your funds the same day you apply" sort of impression I got. The interest rate — for this unsecured, non-credit-consolidation loan — in the original listing on CK was among the best. But now that I'm approved, I'm having trouble finding my loan info when logged in on their website. Presumably I'll be sent some docs, but the website is all about credit management, like a discount CreditKarma, when I already have the real thing. Considering how sketchy, even bad, so many Marketplace Lenders like BestEgg are, this mixed bag experience still qualifies, to me, as exceeding my [low] expectations. Take that as you will.

Giving bad address for pay off of are loan. To have it returned to us three and a half weeks later. When I checked into address it was for auto loan pay off, she had us put loan number in lock box address which was wrong. This girl obviously was new and needed training. Now we're waiting for overage to be returned to us and reported to credit bureaus as paid in full.

Even when there were manual tasks to be performed, Best Egg folks were quickly in contact, very knowledgeable, extremely pleasant, and assisted all the way through the process. I applied not thinking I would get approved but I did almost immediately and while the interest rate is high, it’s not higher than the current credit cards I’m trying to pay off I was approved in minutes receive the funds the very next day in my checking account and have consolidated all my bills into one very low payment Which I plan to pay off early . I like the automatic payments. The app is easy to use. I’m able to make additional payments online. The process could not have been any easier.

What I like the most is that the application process was easy and funds arrived quickly into my account! What I didn't like was when I received another invitation for a loan after 1 year of excellent repayment history, I was required to submit tax return documents for approval of loan. I never had to submit this the first time and I did not have them to submit with subsequent invitations so I couldn't get my loan request approved. I advised the Representative to please stop sending me invitations if they are going to require tax return documents that were not required from me the first time I applied and was approved. Thank you!

I was nervous about applying. Didn't want a hard inquiry just to be denied. But Best Egg pre-qualified me - so I took a chance. And the monthly payments are doable, the interest rate was to be expected. Instantly qualified for 7,000 with a lower FICO credit score of 648 and Vantage of 726, 100% on time payments, only one derogatory mark on my credit! Thanks for allowing me to add to my mix of credit types!
