  • Low Minimum Credit Score Requirement
  • Flexible Loan Terms
  • Fixed Rate Loans and Payments
  • Debt Consolidation Loans
  • No Prepayment Penalty Fee
  • Quality Customer Service
  • Positive Customer Reviews

Simple Loan Application Process

Achieve Personal Loans' intuitive initial online application takes only a few minutes to complete. Simply select the loan amount you are looking to borrow, describe the reason for taking out the loan (home repairs, credit card refinancing, consolidation loans, etc.), submit your credit rating (based on your credit score), what state you live in, then your name and phone number or email address. From there, you can choose to either complete the remaining application online or have a loan consultant get in touch with you to complete the transaction.

Achieve Personal Loans has extremely fast approval and funding times — receive funding in as little as three days.

Same-Day Lending Decisions

Achieve Personal Loans offers same-day loan decisions. However, this isn't guaranteed and will fluctuate based on your provided documentation, application verification, time of application submission, etc.

With an error-free application, you can expect the Achieve Personal Loans loan process to be completed in as little as one day with funds made available within 48 hours. The process involves:

  • Filling out the online application
  • Deciding your loan amount and loan term
  • Waiting for a credit decision to be made
  • Uploading legal documentation and reviewing the loan contract
  • Receiving your personal loan funds

Low Minimum Credit Score Requirement

If your credit history is less than perfect, Achieve Personal Loans might be a good match. Unlike many competing lenders, Achieve Personal Loans has a low minimum credit score requirement of 620, a below-average FICO score for American consumers.

When it comes to personal loans, a higher credit score means that you can receive better rates and repayment terms, but a lower credit score requirement allows for a wider range of borrowers to be eligible to apply.

Flexible Loan Terms

Achieve Personal Loans has flexible loan terms ranging from 24 to 60 months (2 to 5 years).

A borrower can pay off loans earlier than the loan due date without penalty, so your loan repayment period can ultimately be as brief as you'd like. This could save you a great deal of money in interest fees if you decide to repay the loan before your official payoff date.

Fixed Rate Loans and Payments

Achieve Personal Loans has fixed rates, so your annual percentage rate (APR) will never be subject to change, as it would with a variable rate. This can provide peace of mind and stability to borrowers because they will know in the beginning what their rates and monthly payment will be throughout the lifespan of their loan.

Debt Consolidation Loans

If you are looking for a personal loan for debt relief, it is important to know that Achieve Personal Loans helps with debt consolidation and debt settlement by working with creditors on your behalf.

For example, if you are seeking a personal loan to help tackle credit card debt, Achieve Personal Loans will exclude this debt from your debt-to-income ratio and pay off the credit card once you are approved. You would then be responsible to pay off your personal loan which will likely have better rates and terms, saving you more money in the long run.

You could even help you qualify for rate discounts if you apply with a cosigner, have retirement assets, or let Achieve Personal Loans pay your creditors on your behalf.

No Prepayment Penalty Fee

Achieve Personal Loans does not penalize borrowers with a prepayment fee if they wish to pay off their loan earlier than the end of their loan term. This can allow you to save money on interest, in addition to shortening the amount of time that you would be making payments on your loan.

Quality Customer Service

Achieve Personal Loans provides quality customer service to its borrowers primarily through its loan consultants to help you make the best financial decisions while balancing your financial needs.

When you start your application, the company offers a simple and easy-to-use form to start your loan process online and allows you to call and speak with loan consultants and experts with any questions. User reviews indicate these interactions are extremely valuable for potential customers and are generally positive experiences.

Customer service also handles complaints and there is little to no wait time.

Positive Customer Reviews

Achieve Personal Loans reviews outline that Achieve Personal Loans is a trustworthy and high-standard lender.

Reviews highlight reasonable rates and fees, simple repayment options, and exceptional customer service, frequently naming specific Achieve Personal Loans loan consultants. This can provide peace of mind to potential borrowers that Achieve Personal Loans is a good and reliable choice for their personal loan needs.

The Bad

  • Origination and Late Fees
  • High Minimum Loan Amount
  • Cosigners Not Accepted

Origination and Late Fees

Achieve Personal Loans charges an origination fee between 1.99 percent and 6.99 percent on its personal loans. While a fee like this isn't necessarily large for the industry, some industry leaders omit such processing fees from their loan applications altogether.

It is unclear how Achieve Personal Loans calculates its origination fees. On its website, it states that "origination fees are calculated on the final loan size and vary based on the interest rate and term selected." Make sure to talk with a representative at Achieve Personal Loans so that you have a better idea of what this fee may look like for you.

In addition, Achieve Personal Loans charges a $15 late fee for any late payments.

High Minimum Loan Amount

Achieve Personal Loans doesn't offer small loans — the minimum loan amount available is $5,000. There are many lenders that offer smaller amounts, if that is a better fit for your needs. For example, the following lenders offer lower minimum amounts:

  • Best Egg — $2,000
  • SoFi — $5,000 (also offers loans up to $100,000)
  • Upgrade — $1,000

It is important to note that debt consolidation often requires larger loan amounts, speaking to Achieve Personal Loans' expertise in this area since it offers a higher minimum loan amount.

Cosigners Not Accepted

Achieve Personal Loans doesn't accept cosigners. This could be a drawback particularly if you have poor credit and may have difficulty being approved for a personal loan.

It is important to note that Achieve Personal Loans does accept co-borrowers. However, a co-borrower is jointly responsible for the loan, whereas a cosigner is only responsible if the borrower is unable to make payments for any reason.

gavel

The Bottom Line

Achieve Personal Loans personal loans are unsecured, requiring no collateral, and accept credit scores starting at 620, lower than many other companies in the industry, presenting a good option for those who may not have excellent credit. However, you will be more likely to receive a lower interest rate the higher your credit score.

Loan amounts range from $5,000 to $50,000 with competitive interest rates, and loan terms ranging from two to five years, allowing the borrower to tailor their repayment plan to their specific needs.

It is important to note that Achieve Personal Loans does charge a loan origination fee, as well as a late fee, but there are no prepayment fees, allowing you to pay off your loan faster if preferred.

If you're looking for a debt consolidation loan, Achieve Personal Loans is a great option. It will send borrowed money directly to your creditor, which puts a large percentage of your loan toward direct payment to those creditors, helping you pay down your existing debt quickly and successfully.

Having a large number of positive reviews, Achieve Personal Loans complaints are limited and customers highlight exceptional customer service, a painless loan process, and great loan rates.

Whether you're wanting to consolidate debt, cover home repairs, fund other expenses, or whatever your loan purpose may be, Achieve Personal Loans is a quality personal loan provider.

*Personal loans available through Achieve.com (NMLS #138464) or Achieve Personal Loans (NMLS ID #227977) are made by Cross River Bank, a New Jersey State Chartered Commercial Bank, or Pathward®, N.A., Equal Housing Lenders. Loan applications are subject to credit review, underwriting criteria, and approval. Loans are not available in all states and available loan terms/fees may vary by state. Loan amounts range from $5,000 to $50,000. APRs range from 8.99% to 35.99% and include applicable origination fees that vary from 1.99% to 6.99%. Repayment periods range from 24 to 60 months. Example loan: four-year $20,000 loan with an origination fee of 6.99%, a rate of 15.49%, and a corresponding APR of 19.54%, would have an estimated monthly payment of $561.60 and a total cost of $26,956.80. To qualify for a 8.99% APR loan, a borrower will need excellent credit, a loan amount less than $12,000.00, and a term of 24 months. Loan Consultants for Achieve Personal Loans are available Monday–Friday 6 AM to 8 PM AZ time, and Saturday–Sunday 7 AM to 4 PM AZ time.

Still haven't received the loan funds after approval two weeks ago. This was intended to be a small loan to cover a debt while waiting for revenue from the sale of a home. Achieve application filled out and approved 2nd week of November, Representative told me 15 days max to fund. 13 days after application I get an email stating "loan funded" but no money was deposited in my account. I call them "the money will be deposited in 10 to 15 days from the date of that email". Ummm, what??? "this is a brand new loan and you will have to wait". Sir, this is not a new loan, I was approved 2 weeks ago. "that isn't what my computer says". So, now the first payment is due December 16th for money I never received and apparently won't for another 2 weeks, if ever. I would like to speak to an attorney about this because it looks like their is meat for a class action lawsuit. I will have the payout from someone getting their mortgage done BEFORE this loan money is dispersed. That makes ZERO sense. I used Lending Club a few years ago....much faster. Achieve, I hope you read this. I am going to find other people you did this to and SUE you. If I needed the money in a month, I would have gone a different way. Unprofessional at it's peak.

This is a company that practices predatory lending. I spoke to a loan officer who quoted me a rate of 19% which is high for an experian score of 680 with a consistent income over 200K for the last 12 years. They publish a reduced rate opportunity if you use the money to pay off a debit. I used to pay them all off and my rate when the loan documents came through (After the payments went to the credit cards) was 29% I balked and asked them why the difference. I was not given an answer and was told that they could not retract the payments and the only thing that I could do was refinance in 6 months. I called back in six months with a 747 credit score and was denied.

Achieve took over my loan within a month of having it with a different company. I took out a 3 year loan, and made an early payment of 90% of the loan within the first 6 months. I assumed that this loan was like every single loan other I've ever taken out in my life and that I would have lower or no payments for a bit because I still had several years left to the loan term. Less than 12 hours after my next 'due date ' I had received 6 harassing phone calls (in less than 8 hours) because I hadn't paid the "full amount due" and I "was behind". When I called I was told that my loan end date was just moved up with the amount of payments I had left instead, with literally no change to the loan term end date online at all and was told my new end date was in 6 months with the full 3 years of interest attached to pay that I doubt will "be refunded" at the end as it should be. I could "try to refinance with them if I wanted lower payments". A month later, I STILL can't verify any of the information I was told as my online account STILL doesn't reflect any of this. Customer service is very nice. That's the only good thing about them. I'll never use this horrible company for anything ever again.

Achieve is a company that takes full advantage of consumers in need of a loan due to financial difficulties. This company should be investigated for “additional interest charges”. This company charged me additional interest even after I paid the full amount within my statement period. When I called to ask for assistance the customer service representative made me feel as if I was in no position to question the additional cost. This company should be under investigation and penalty charges should be given to them for falsifying information and charging consumers additional unknown charges. I will post this all over social media

I am completely dissatisfied with this loan. It turned out to be the apposition of everything the sales agent promised. I was told it would protect my credit score, but my score tanked after this loan. I was told the interest would be less than the day I was to sign I was hit with the reality. I questioned the sales agent and should have walked right then. He swore up and down after six months of on time payments and I can refinance to a lower rate. This is not true. My credit was tanked by this loan and I’m stuck with what amounts to be a predatory loan just slightly better than a title loan. There’s a reason the loan is not available in some states and it’s not because it’s a “good” loan. Anyone would be better off fleeing from this loan and this company.

We were told when we got the loan, after paying six months, that we could refinance our loan and get a lower interest rate and lower payment. We have not missed, or been late paying our $910, not once. We were declined because we don't make enough money to support this loan, DO YOU KNOW HOW THIS SOUNDS? We are not asking for more money, just a better interest rate and lower payment! We make the same amount of money when you gave us the loan, no new bills, our 2016 car, 2013 truck, RV, and house are paid off. The only difference is we had to buy a part for our RV $2700, and we put it on our bank card. We are not behind on any of our bills, nothing has changed. Except, your company pulls people in with high interest rates and high payments, saying in six months you can refinance and get lower everything, sounds like a scam to me, BUT THAT'S OK, you want to play it that way. I want you to know I'm turning your company into the BBB, and we will tell everyone on social network not to trust your company. What you are doing is a scam and that's really too bad!!

Well its my fault I got into debt. But this Achieve took advantage.. I thought after FDR and going through all that .. I was left with a couple of thousand to pay off.. Well Achieve to the rescue.. but I CANT believe that they charge 22% interest - so If i took what i paid FDR and what I have paid Achieve so far.. I should have just buckled down and paid down everything cause now I am the point where I have paid MORE than what I previously owe.. $340 a month would come in handy - I have until June of this year.. I would recommend people to just go declare bankruptcy - since your credit is ruined after all this anyway

When they changed their name to Achieve and started up the business of reaching out to existing customers for home equity loans the whole thing should have been shut down. Since having my credit pulled I have been mobbed with calls for other refinancing companies (as expected) only to have Achieve spend 3 weeks and $250 of my dollars to suborn my lien for solar panels all for nothing. Despite having access to all of my debt and home evaluation it wasn't until weeks later that they suddenly decided they couldn't go forward. A complete waste of time, money, and a rip off. I am debating further legal action in recompense but will likely lose out to overpaid corporate lawyers since big corporations like Freedom must get sued all the time and their business practices have yet to improve. Do not trust this company.

Oh sure we got a loan all right but be careful after you pay it off they're going to come after you for more surprise fees but that was not included in the original contract which is fraud and they keep insisting and then they called us threatening us and being extremely rude for their extra payoff Ransom fee that was nowhere included in our contract which they refuse to send out by the way but banks are notorious for stealing from people and then if you don't pay up you get put on bad credit so yeah these people will literally come up with extra fees after you're done paying it off on purpose closeout fee when we already paid the origination fee but the extra bullshit fee that was not included and they added an extra month on top of that it's against the law for fraud but can't control Banks since the government makes a lot of their money from them too

We were approved for up to the max amount, based on our preliminary application, we supplied all of the required documentation, including our full bank tax returns, substantiating our income. Lorin advised after about 48 hours that we were denied, with no further explanation. I requested a call from her manager and she assured me that I would receive a call by COB, however I did not. I do believe that our denial was based on demographic information, and not our ability to pay back the loan. Be weary of this company, their practices seem to be unethical and ambiguous, all the while our credit scores have been impacted by their inquiry.

From the start I said I absolutely did not want a hard credit check done until I knew what I was agreeing too, I wanted to first see an offer and know what the rates would be before my credit gets dinged with a hard credit check, the nice Freedom Plus agent said she had great news for me, I was pre-qualed for 1.99% interest rate based on my information. This company said we were pre-approved for a loan of 7K at a promotional rate of 1.99%, so I said go ahead with your hard credit check, but half way through the process the agent of freedom plus gets back with us and gave us a congratulations that we qualified for a rate of 5.99% and never explained the reason why the rate jumped from 1.99 to now 5.99, later she said it had nothing to do with our credit, so I being foolish decided to just grin and bare the interest rate hike, then just prior to final release of funds the agent said she just needed my final approval of funding after she read details, she literally quoted the interest rate not at 5.99%, but at 14.99%, I stoped her and said,”excuse me did you just say 14.99%?” She said yes, and told me it was because my wife’s meager monthly income of 1K was disavowed because we were moving out of State, I am transferring with my current employer. But, we said this to her from the beginning very directly and specifically over and over that the funds were for our move, and yet twice we were told we were pre-quelled at the lower rate, this is a classic bait and switch, they baited me in at the low rate-told me I was pre-qualified multiple times based on my information that never changed and was accurate as I have documentation to back it up, then they said some fine print disqualified my wife of 34 years from being on the app, dinged my credit for absolutely nothing. I found them lacking integrity, and frankly not up front and honest, only quoting fine print details when it suited them to increase their profits unfairly at my expense. I do not like companies like this, they find every excuse to to gouge people for the sake of increased profit hoping you don’t actually read the rates.

In the last year my income is less that half of what I was previously making. A freedom rep mentioned they could lower my monthly payment and I agreed it was a good idea and chose to apply for the lower rate. I was given x number of business days to complete the application. I completed it on the last day but the rep closed my case preemptively and rejected me. They realized they made a mistake and took extra time to walk me through the process a second time. This time, I submitted everything needed on the same day. They denied me stating "You did not send us what we asked for." I replied asking what I missed but they have ignored all of my emails for the last 3 months.

Until now, I would have rated FreedomPlus a good company to do business with. I lost my job due to the Covid-19 pandemic and contacted customer support asking for help. I needed some sort of deferral, like all other financial companies willingly assisted me with. The representative I spoke with at FreedomPlus was condescending and rude. His comment was "why should we give you a deferral if you have no way to pay?" His advice was for me to call back once and if I got unemployment set-up and they might consider a plan. My payment history had been flawless and I did not deserve this treatment. I'm experiencing much hardship, at no cause of my own and this added to my hardship and made me feel even worse than I already did. I needed help in March or April during the shock of losing a job. I thought I was dong the right thing by initiating the contact to let them know and ask for help.

If I could rate a zero I would. I had a high interest loan to begin with. I was solicited by one the Freedom Plus representatives to refinance my loan. I took awhile to decide and finally called back during COVID times to refinance to a lower interest rate. I was told my payment would be taken out the following month. Come to find out the loan consultant mis- calculated and I had to them pay an additional payment. I wish I would have gone with no loan. I was trying to consolidate debt initially. Now my interest rate is still high after refinance, not to mention the 900+ dollars in fees the company tacked on and did not tell me about, Do not go with this company. There are hidden fees and the representatives are just trying to sell a loan. They don’t care about their customers. If you felt stressed prior to seeking out Freedom Financial, warning do not give them you business.

The worse company I have ever decided to work with. With their promises and their pitching how they could help me with my debt, I feel like a fool for ever taking them on their word. Should have looked them up first online and checked their ratings. They have been sued multiple times and have a lawsuit in progress for misleading their customers and fraud. I ended up paying them over $3,000.00, ruined my credit score, and what did they do for me? I ended up owing the same amount of debt minus my $3,000.00. They are dishonest and lie about what they tell you. Then they connect you with their consolidation loan program and they charged me 23%. I would never work with this company and advise going through consumer credit counseling. I still have issues with their lousy web site where you make payments and can't connect with a real person that knows what to do. I have spent over a month trying to sign into my account and every thing that they asked me to do was tried and not worked. PLEASE DON'T BE STUPID LIKE ME!! If you do just a little research, you'll discover their legal issues and defrauding their clients. It's too late for me and I am well educated.

This company is really terrible. I was told my loan would be complete in about 3 or 4 business days, but it was closer to 7. I told them I did not want the loan if it took that long. So I proceeded under false pretenses. Then, I had direct debit payments, but they debited my payment even before the due date, putting my account in danger of being overdrawn when other payments were presented to my bank at the same time. In addition, if your payment is not made on the exact due date, they report it to the credit bureaus so it looks like you are increasing your amount of debt. Your payment is not credited on the same day that it is made on the website. This makes no sense since they supposedly give you a grace period to make your payment. I cannot recommend them at all.

Freedom Plus has been a nightmare to deal with, hiding behind a Telemarketing boiler room with no real contact with anyone with authority. After being a strong customer for 2 years we sought a deferment of a few months due to a severe accident and serious illness. In March, we were informed by their representative that FP would offer us one more month deferment and that we were completely current and we would commence our regular payments in March. When I attempted to make such payment I was informed we were 29 days delinquent and that they would not honor their own representation to defer February. They also informed me that they did not care what was said via phone by their rep as they had a contract and were now reneging on their previous representations. This is not only fraudulent practice it will affect our credit and we only knew of their reversal by accident. Do not do business with this company.........high rates, origination fees, and false and deceptive representations.

There is nothing to like about this company. It has been a nightmare ever since I was approved for the loan. I feel like I was scammed and this company does not try and work with you when you're dealing with financial hardship. I emailed the LO that approved the loan because there was some discrepancies regarding the loan. Of course, he seemed to have amnesia. I can't wait to be done with this company for good. Discover Personal loans is a better company and they give you better options instead of no options at all. Not to mention, the interest is ridiculous. I feel as if I am spinning my wheels. Debt relief may be my next option.

BEWARE— of high interest loans that may take years to pay, even when your credit score is almost perfect. I highly recommend that you compare the benefits of getting a personal loan with your bank than FreedomPlus. I received a 17.9% $30,000 loan, with a 700 credit score. I was desperate to pay off all my credit debt. Loan payments was $650 to the principle and $350 for interest. Not to mention the application fee of $500.. It is a literary taking advantage of people. I will NEVER recommend this company to anyone. I paid off my loan with within 8 months of seeing how much I was taken advantage of..

I was told at 6 months I could get a reduction in the APR. I reached out to the loan person I dealt with multiple times and have never heard back from him. I started making extra payments only to find I am being charged a “check fee” for the extra payments. Freedom Loans is not set up to receive electronic payments from my bank unless they are directly pulling those payments from my account. They are making sure to get their money by charging me a fee for every extra payment I make so they get aren’t losing out on all the money I am trying to save by paying the loan off early. I wish I had never done gone with this company.

I agree with a lot of other reviewers on here that this place is a money stealer. I borrowed $7500 to consolidate my credit card bills and I have made one payment so far and my balance if $7507???? I guy I spoke to was a real smooth talker and when I questioned the interest rate of 26% he smoothed talked it by saying that it is cheaper than all the interest rates that I was paying on my credit cards together. He went over that part of the contract so fast I didn't have a chance to object. I totally 100% regret taking out this loan, I am in the process of trying to get a loan from my credit union (who I should have gone to in the first place but didn't think they would approve me because I already have a loan with them) and I would have avoided all of this crap. The interest rate for my credit union is 10% and I am praying I get approved for this. Then when I saw my payoff amount on my statement, it says is $7576!!! And the jerk never told me that there was an origination fee either, I asked for $7500 and I only have a little over $7100 to pay my bills off so I was left with balances on some of my credit cards because the loan wasn't enough to pay everything off completely. These guys are real slick, beware, stay away from this company. If I could give it 0 stars I would.

Stay as far away from this company as possible. They make getting the loan a pretty simple process, but after that fact they are just criminal to deal with. They recently debited my bank account because they set me up on automatic payment even though they were told by me multiple times that I did not want that done. When they sent the loan documents they slipped that in and we missed it. I then contacted customer service when I was double billed. The company told me that there was no way they could refund the money and that I needed to contact my bank and tell them it was an unauthorized transaction. After doing so, the company refunded my money twice and then said my payment was late and charged a late fee. They are absolute criminals. That is the reason that they operate using 2 names. You will deal with Freedom Plus when getting the loans but then they get payments and deal as Freedom Financial Network which is not a Better Business Bureau rated company. That is the company name they use to pull their extortion. Beware of this company.

YOU DO NOT EVEN DESERVE ONE STAR! On Sept. 1, 2019, I signed a contract with the understanding after I read the paper work and I was not interested all I had to do was write a letter and it would be terminated. Sept. 2 (Labor Day) I printed out all the 27 pages read them. On page 2 the rate says 23.86% but on page 7 the rate is 20.99. But when I was talking to the rep. on the phone he said it should be around 16%. Well I was NOT very happy with all of this so on Sept. 3 in the morning I called the "company" and they said I had to talk to the "guy" I talked to on the first. So I left him messages all day long, his supervisor, and someone else. No Call Back! Later in the day on the Sept. 4 he finally called and said its to late to terminate. But on the paper work that I signed The Freedom Plus Loan Agreement paragraph 8 its says you can terminate at any time. They just want to STEAL $764.70 from us. YES IT IS STEALING!!! This should be the last place anyone should look for a "loan".

I went to FreedomPlus to get a loan. I was told the loan origination fee could be from 0-5%. After obtaining the loan FreedomPlus loan, I was charged the entire 5% origination fee. It turns out I had to pay $750.00 to borrow $15,000. I feel this is usury and somewhat on the lines of being a loan shark. I was so humiliated with the process that I went to my credit union and borrowed the same $15,000 to pay Freedom Plus off. After borrowing the money from my credit union, I did not have to pay an origination fee -- . Also, I am paying FreedomPlus an interest rate of 19.99%. With my loan through the credit union, they gave me an interest rate of 9.75%. I would like FreedomPlus to return my origination fee, since I only had to pay them for 2 payments.

They are shady. I was promised one interest rate and then they changed my rate when my loan was offered. I signed anyways and that was a huge mistake because it was a significantly higher rate. I thought it wasn't that big of a deal but it is a predatory loan. I am very unhappy and I feel like I have been taken advantage of. I make a $463 and only $150 goes to my principle. I will end up paying 13K in interest by the time the loan is done. Their website gives you almost no information about your loan. I wanted to pay off credit cards but taking this loan is going to cost me waaay more money than just paying the cards off myself. Also they charged almost $800 in loan origination fees and you can only make extra payments via electronic check.

I diid enjoy the service and use of the money. It was very easy to open and although the interest was high I did need the money. Here is my complaint. I wanted to pay off my loan money is in my bank. I waited for a check to clear and called in advance for pay off amount. Which I was given next day I call to pay off and it had increased $4.00 no big deal! Next they tell me they can not process payment for two days and now the pay off is going to be $41.00 more. Here is a company that you have to set up automatic payments with and then when it come to paying them I get charged more because they can't process the payment that fast. Sound like this is a they're problem more than my problem. I just want to close out this loan with no issues and feel like the $40.00 is a stab in the back. Raymond J Bond

I got this loan in October and asked my payment due date to be the 1st day of each month. I registered my account on line at your website and e-mailed you twice to make sure you knew i needed my payment due date would be on the 1st of each month. You responded to both e-mails to let me know you had received my message and that someone would follow up with me. I accessed the website on November 1st and made my 1st payment. However, you took another payment from my checking account on November 17. I called you and spoke with someone who turned in a "Manager's Request" to return the funds but I still have not heard from you. Now, I have $90.00 in service charges from my bank. Your customer service department is incompetent and your web site is not helpful. I still have not heard from your customer service department regarding your mistake.

After a prolonged back and forth of providing various sensetive information to their agent Ely S, he simply disappeared on me. During this time, I declined offers from many other companies because Ely assured me it was just a matter of a day or two and I was already deep in the process with FreedomPlus. When I realized that FreedomPlus is not an option, I tried to qualify again with other firms I already said no to but then got into the problem of having "too many inquiries". So thank you Ely and Freedom Plus for leading me by my nose for, collecting the most sensitive information about me and then disappearing. in the process screwing up my chances to get a descent loan from elsewhere.

Unfortunately, giving Freedom Plus 0 stars wasn't option. I first received a loan in January 2018, that was great! Great application process, great loan officer, Debbie Rodgers. I was told I could refinance in six months, so I applied for refinancing was approved got my new interest rate, new payment amount, and new payment date. That's when the nightmare started. Freedom Plus applied the pay off of my old loan to my new loan! Really, how does that happen no quality control. So, what happens my old loan amount is automatically deducted from my bank account. Totally was not financially prepared for this to happen. I have been talking to customer service for a week to get this resolved and still no resolution. The customer service department is weak at best. I've talked to 5 different people, get 5 different answers, and nothing but empty canned apologies. People this is your fault and my bank account is being held hostage by your mistake. I'm sorry I ever contacted them in the first place. I will keep calling and keep calling until this is resolved.

I spoke with Kelly and was given some options for a loan. My credit score at the time of my application was 807. Kelly told me he had some preliminary payment options, but couldn't see the interest rate only payment amounts. I used an online calculator to back into the interest rate and they were not close to the offer I had from Sofi. The last calculation I did he said my calculation and his were about 1% apart. Then, he realized he wasn't considering the origination fee. This made it obvious that he in fact had the rates in front of him. If he was calculating based on payments it would have already been in there. He told me Sofi customer service probably doesn't know what they are talking about and tried to sell me on paying an extra $1,700 over my loan term for the service he could provide.I just want to get a loan and make my payment via autopay, don't know whathe service he can give me would be worth that much.

Well, I had a loan and 8 months later refinanced this on 4/26/18. Was told my new loan would draft on 6/9/18, but low and behold another draft of my original loan was drafted on 5/7/18. I'm being told the departments took that long to communicate, so that's why it took 2 weeks for my old loan to be paid off. The company mails itself a check... Meanwhile, the unauthorized draft put my account way in the negative and I'm still dealing with OD fees. 10 days later I was given a refund less $24 because I occurred 2 days of interest??? WTF? Yeah, I'm getting out of this ASAP. No trust. Nothing.

I feel lied to and exploited by this company! I got a loan to pay if all my credit cards and after I applied and was approved for the loan ( $14k) I was told that my interest rate would be %18. At that point I was ready to decline since that is equal to or greater than the interest I was accruing on the cards, so “ what’s the point???” I asked the telephone rep. The rep. Then talked up the convenience of making 1 payment instead of 5 seperate payments to each card... while that idea DID appeal to me it wasn’t enough to sway my decision. BUT the rep added “ As long as you make payments for 6 months, just apply to refinance and you’re guaranteed to get a much better rate” he was adamant and insisted that “ as long as I paid on time and there were no major, negative changes to my credit score I’d %100 be approved at s better rate after 6 months”. Well I paid $500/month instead if the required $350/month, my credit score went UP 60 points, and I waited 8 months to apply to refinance the loan AND THET DENIED ME!!!! Then I let it ride, waited another 6 months, score got even higher and I kept making larger than required payments and guess what???? THEY DENIED ME AGAIN!!! CROOKS!!! Well it’s their loss! When they open for business on Jan 2nd 2018 ( 36 hours from now) I’m calling to pay off the loan ( got another loan from American Express for 9% ) and Freedom Plus will never see another one of my dollars again! Beware False Promises!!!

Horrible service! I applied for a loan based on the glowing reviews and had nothing but problems with their service. Every time I submitted a payment, it took days for them to process it and then I would call to verify that all the information was correct, I was assured that all was correct. And yet, a few days after, I would log in to check on the payment and would see an NSF fee added. When I called to find out what happened, I was given the same "song and dance" that I had the wrong account information. To this I would respond that that's impossible, that I had called earlier to confirm the account information and was assured all was correct. But no luck. I feel this is a scam to get more money in fees out of customers.

I applied with Freedomplus for a loan. After pulling my credit, it was determined that my "overall debt" was too high despite my income. My credit is "good" (depending which bureau), and I applied for their advertised "credit card consolidation loan" as we are expecting our first child and wanted to condense the bills into one payment with a lower interest rate. Talk about FALSE ADVERTISMENT on the reasons for my rejection...no CRAP, Sherlock! If my credit card debt was low I wouldn't have applied! They tried to brush me off to their "debt relief" program, but I ask the question of ANY genius: why would I damage a "spotless" payment history on my credit by "reliefing"? I was told to get a co-signer, which I did, whose credit is better than mine with amost no debt! They then gave me the runaround with assisting me, and then left me on hold for LITERALLY 49 minutes for a Supervisor before hanging up on me! I will make sure their business practices are made public..they apparently aren't the type of company they want people to believe. I'm glad they showed me who they really are before I gave their company a penny of my money!

I'd rather get a loan from Tont Soprano. Watch out for these loan sharks. All I did was click on a link from Trans Union about consolidation loans, and the next thing I knew, I received a call from "Charles" from Freedom Plus, who said that I filled out an application, which I never did. The next day, he called me back and "officially" took my application and then wanted to pull my credit. I asked him what the loan payments would be for the loan I wanted, based on the the worst case scenario, the highest interest rate they charge, and he couldn't tell me...or should I say he wouldn't. I then told him that I wanted to think it over, and told him not to pull my credit yet, and he basically hung up on me. After doing some reasearch, I found out that there is an origination fee on the loan which he FAILED to disclose, of up to 5% of the loan. For the $35,000 loan I was looking at, this could be up to $1,750. He also FAILED to disclose that they pay the lenders from the proceeds of the loan directly. I contacted him about this, and he said that they disclose the origination fee AFTER the application is complete and my credit is pulled. That's BULL. I wrote him back and told him to close the application and never contact me again. He was extremely rude and arrogant throughout the process, because I dared to ask probing questions which he did not want to answer until they pulled my credit and I was at their mercy. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!

The customer service is great, until you call with an issue. I had a few urgent things come up financially. I called Freedom Plus/Financial to have my withdrawal date temporarily changed for one month (for a later deduction date). I was advised during the first call I made, that my request was submitted. I called the next day to make sure everything was in order, I was told the date was changed and all is well. Two days later, the payment that was supposed to come out at a later date, was withdrawn from my bank account. I called their customer service again (for the third time) and was given an apology and I was told to email screenshot of the money being withdrawn from my bank account. I complied, and I was told that the refund request was given to a supervisor for approval. I was also told that the funds would be back in my bank account by the end of the business day, no later than the next day. Well, the next day came and the money wasn't returned (this was a Thursday). So, I called customer service again (4th time/Friday morning), spoke to a representative that told me a supervisor never approved the refund. She said she put through a request, I explained that I didn't trust that, seeing I've been lied to since day one. I asked the rep, who governs them (government agency), she said she didn't know. I told her to put me on hold and go ask her leadership. She came back to the line and told me that no one governs them and that they are just a load servicing company that works for a group of investors that are associated with Cross River Bank. The representative became frustrated with me and I ended the call. I called back later on Friday afternoon (the same day), to check to see if the request had been approved, and it hadn't. I was also instructed, that refunds don't occur the same day, like I was advised the day prior. I was told that the request was forwarded over, the money would be refunded in 1-2 business days. I asked the representative for the names of the previous reps I spoke to and the dates and times they show that these conversations occurred, to compare them to my records. She laughed at me, and when I asked her what was so funny, she said that me asking for all this info. I then told her, that this situation isn't funny and I explained to her the poor customer service I have received, the misinformation given, the lack of action on their behalf and the financial, etc. impact of all of this. I then asked her again, what was so funny…she told me she had nothing else to say and she became very rude as well as dismissive-which she started exhibiting this behavior earlier on in the conversation, but it became more apparent towards the end. This is the worse company I have ever dealt with! The way I have been treated and the information on who Freedom Plus/Financial really is…is all the reason I need to file every charge and complaint about this company that I can. To warn others and helping them avoid doing business with these, lying, cheating over charging, unprofessional people!

I was just informed by a customer service rep, that "There is a $15 processing fee for all payments made from your bank. We unfortunately do not participate in bill-pay." I think it's absurd that you are going to charge me to give you money. I realize that I can go online to make an extra payment, but the beauty of bill-pay is that I can set up a reoccurring payment and not have to worry about logging into your website every time and entering in all the information every time. I'm shocked that it's the year 2017 and Freedom Plus "unfortunately doesn't participate in bill-pay" .....seriously.....

I took out a 10,000 dollar loan in August 2016. Really it was 9500 and they took 500 for a loan fee. I made my payments thur autopay. So by February2017 i paid $2,250, and i still owed 9,300 so . i call to get the payoff amount and asked if i payed it off would you still take out my auto payment. They said no sir we will not as long as you pay it by this day, so i payed it off by that day and budget my other bills around having that extra 330 dollars, so they took my payment anyways. I called up to complain and the customer service person stated they refuned my money and i should have it in 2 to 3 bussiness days.... Well its been 9 days and i called back up and they said you will get it by the 14th. It takes 2 weeks... Now i have 3 late fees from other bills because of this. And they are collecting more interest off of my money.

I've never worked with a company that when you make a payment early, they still take out your scheduled payment and end up charging you twice..... when I call to have them just apply the 2nd payment to my next month's bill they say there's no way they can't do it. The customer service person I spoke too did not care at all and made zero attempt to Fix the issue. She offered no apology or anything and tried to blame me for the issue. How is it the customers fault that when they pay their bill early they then get charged twice?? At least I know not to refer anyone to this company ever because they show zero concern about their customers.

I called the next day after signing the contract to cancel the process for a personal loan because I did not feel comfortable with the payment and I was told during the loan application process the the funding would take 2 to 3 days and that the payment to creditors could be up to 7. I called in and one person told me I was on time and the others told me it was funded and nothing could be done. I was a little frustrated at the end of the call and I said "Man" like I couldn't believe it I couldn't cancel. the customer service person did not notice she said on and started laughing and making comments about why I probably wanted to cancel. i cant believe that overnight they did everything. This is the worse company I saw in my lifetime, they take advantage of the desperate need of a financial situation, 5 months ago I got approved for a loan for 15k with an interest of almost 27% and I don't have a bad credit, but when I realized the interest I told the agent that I did not want it under those conditions and he said it was already approved and down the road we could revisit and see if they could lower the interest, I paid for 5 months $453.00 and I recently got a loan from my TDB at a 9% interest, and when I got the payoff it was @14,992 after 5 months of payment of $453.00 what a rip- off .

Its funny to see these reviews from people with "new" loans from freedom. let me warn you now this "loan "company is the biggest rip-off I've ever had to deal with. thank god my loan with this place has been paid off. every aspect of this place just screams waste my money. if anyone is thinking of getting a loan here please do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. I regret ever pulling the trigger and getting a loan here. I learned a very expensive lesson. if you want to waste thousands of dollars this is the place to do it. once you "new" folks see how things operate here you will change your opinion, I guarantee it.

I started in May I believe to refinance my home. Joseph was the first person I spoke with at your company. I thought I was done with my part of getting you papers, signing papers, etc. Well, someone dropped the ball after they spoke with a lady in the HR department of my work. So, I called Joseph again and asked what is going on. Well, again, (like a fool) I fell for Carly telling me everything is going well. Then I am supposed to send her certain papers and I did. Well, she never received them. Then on last Friday she said she was going to send me an overnight mailer so I could send my papers back. It is now Monday evening and I still have NOT received the mailer. I called her this morning to tell her and she never returned my call. Then I get a message from some guy named Ryan who is helping Carly today. No response on the message I left her or about the mailer. So, I get home tonight, and some gentleman is on the phone wanting a 3 party conference about my loan. The whole time I have EVER spoke with Joseph and Carly has been on my cell phone. Those are the numbers I have used. Why call me on my house phone when you have my cell number. I am a very nice person whom is normally very patient., but this is going on far to long and I my patience are becoming thin. May I just refinance on my loan and be over it already. I have taken ownership of the wrong doings on my end, I just want to get this over. Please have someone who knows what is going on call me and treat me like I matter instead of when you feel like calling me back. Thank you. Suzanne Osenbaugh

This is the worst lending company I have dealt with. The loan specialist knew how I was going to be repaying the loan. However he didn't tell me that I would be Charged $15.00 per check that I sent in. Even the second rep that called to confirm everything said nothing about charges for paying back the loan in the traditional manner. In speaking with legal representation the word used was "shoddy" practices of this company. I would not recommend them to anyone. As with other financial companies that inform you verbally of all charges and fees because of the Truth in Lending Act these guys somehow get around it so be sure and read EVERY little bit of your contract.

Very sketchy operations. My interactions with FreedomPlus came after applying for a signature loan from LendingTree. Within 30 seconds of submitting an application, I received a high-pressure phone call from FreedomPlus that insinuated that they were the only company that would give us a loan. They jumped around, but it ended up being a very high APR rate, especially for my 800+ FICO. I declined and went on my way, but continued to receive phone calls and emails. I eventually got the phone calls to stop, but not the emails. The "unsubscribe" link in every email is broken, so you cannot stop them. The company is unable to fix it; I've had to create an email rule to just automatically delete all FreedomPlus emails.

The loan officer quoted me a rate in a whole number leaving off the ".99%" which essentially makes the true rate nearly 1 full percentage point higher. He repeatedly quoted the whole number and the additional percent was not discovered until it was time to sign the contract. Not happy about that. When confronted the loan officer tells me he always "forgets" about the percentage and will try to remember going forward. However the loan officer was professional throughout the process. Then I have a woman from their customer service department hounding me to confirm my address after the loan process was completed and leaves a message that I have fraud on my account and I need to call immediately, She then proceeds to tell me its company policy to tell customers that they have fraud on their account so they will call back faster. Great practices! Leaving off information of the rate, scaring people in phone messages with concerns of fraud. I will never do business with them again.

My sales person was courtesy of day I called but have not heard anything since, despite leaving messages more than twice. The time it is taking to pay off loans has been extreme to say the least and is causing me even more financial hardship. I have do e consolidation loans in the past and has never taken more than a week. I am expected to make a payment on my loan on the 10th when I am still paying creditors that have been paid. Overall I can say not totally feeling secure and follow through seems to lack.

0 stars. 13 days late in my loan and I called them before it was even due to explain that I needed a little time and I will get back on schedule. I’ve received about 20 calls from them since. Sometimes 3-4 times in a day. I answer each time and they claim they document in my file but I continue to receive calls. If I tell you I don’t have it and I need 30 days. Why call 4 times a day?

I received several calls and emails from this company inviting me, based on my payment history, to apply for lower interest and a refinance. Once on the phone we gave out consent to check our credit and were then told that they would not lower our interest rate unless we allowed them to pay off our credit cards. This is not at all what we asked for. They are totally deceptive.

Terrible. Double schedule payments and tell me I’m late even when a payment has been made, can’t get payment dates set right when the loan is set up initially, no follow through from the loan originator that said they would originally make sure things were scheduled how I was asking them to be scheduled, just constant bull crap. Don’t use this company. They’re a ridiculous mess.
