The loan officer quoted me a rate in a whole number leaving off the ".99%" which essentially makes the true rate nearly 1 full percentage point higher. He repeatedly quoted the whole number and the additional percent was not discovered until it was time to sign the contract. Not happy about that. When confronted the loan officer tells me he always "forgets" about the percentage and will try to remember going forward. However the loan officer was professional throughout the process. Then I have a woman from their customer service department hounding me to confirm my address after the loan process was completed and leaves a message that I have fraud on my account and I need to call immediately, She then proceeds to tell me its company policy to tell customers that they have fraud on their account so they will call back faster. Great practices! Leaving off information of the rate, scaring people in phone messages with concerns of fraud. I will never do business with them again.

My sales person was courtesy of day I called but have not heard anything since, despite leaving messages more than twice. The time it is taking to pay off loans has been extreme to say the least and is causing me even more financial hardship. I have do e consolidation loans in the past and has never taken more than a week. I am expected to make a payment on my loan on the 10th when I am still paying creditors that have been paid. Overall I can say not totally feeling secure and follow through seems to lack.

0 stars. 13 days late in my loan and I called them before it was even due to explain that I needed a little time and I will get back on schedule. I’ve received about 20 calls from them since. Sometimes 3-4 times in a day. I answer each time and they claim they document in my file but I continue to receive calls. If I tell you I don’t have it and I need 30 days. Why call 4 times a day?

I received several calls and emails from this company inviting me, based on my payment history, to apply for lower interest and a refinance. Once on the phone we gave out consent to check our credit and were then told that they would not lower our interest rate unless we allowed them to pay off our credit cards. This is not at all what we asked for. They are totally deceptive.

Terrible. Double schedule payments and tell me I’m late even when a payment has been made, can’t get payment dates set right when the loan is set up initially, no follow through from the loan originator that said they would originally make sure things were scheduled how I was asking them to be scheduled, just constant bull crap. Don’t use this company. They’re a ridiculous mess.

I had a "consolation loan" prior to the pandemic. They told me that I could put my loan on deferment and resume payment as soon as my job brought me back. As soon as I return to work and resumed payment (which was only 2 months) they applied all my payments to interest only, which I did not agree to. They won't fix their error and expect me to pay more because of their error. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

I did a consolidation loan for my credit cards. All was amazing, right up until they started my loan and only paid off 2 of my 4 cards.... but charged the loan for all 4. I still have 2 cards that never go paid. It has been a few months and I have been going back and forth with them ever since. When I call in, they say that it will get escalated and they will call back within to 24-48 hours, but then I never hear back. So the process starts all over again.

I got approved for the loan on 3/25 as a debt consolidation. They did not pay all of the Credit cards until 4/3. Leaving me paying the card's monthly payment so I would not be late. I was also told that I will also have to make a loan payment on 4/25 and the payment is $22 more than I was quoted. Needless to say I will never use Achieve again and will not recommend them to anyone!

Customer service stinks They switched names of the company in the middle of my loan without notification so I didn't know if I was just getting spam and promotional mail. I couldn't understand why I was getting mail from a new company. They should have sent something out to explain they were changing names or doing a merger. Now I can't keep track of my loan because they consistently send me mail on a 2 week period. I pay - they still send me a reminder. You cannot get anyone on the phone. Everything is done by bot. I would not get loan with this company in the future.

Bait and Switch - After going through the entire application process and receiving multiple emails stating approved for the loan and asking me to sign loan documents, I received a call saying that it was not approved unless I had a co-signer - and this was based on reviewing my tax returns. Don't waste your time, don't take the hard pull credit ding on your report, it's not worth the time, energy or effort. I also question how much bias is involved since I am a higher earner than my spouse, yet they wanted him on the application.

Overall loan, is terrible! It's deceptive, misleading and definitely used to make Achieve/Freedom Plus money. Because they knew that I was in a vulnerable position financially, they took advantage of the loan. Yes, I had a choice but they had one too. I am paying over 50% in interest and when I asked if I could use my credit card to pay down the principal balance, that was not allowed. Meaning, we want your interest no matter how long it takes you to pay us. I never, ever will use them again and I will never recommend them to anyone. ACHIEVE/FREEDOM PLUS IS A FRAUD!

Pay your bills and don’t use freedom plus. When the ‘customer care’ specialist is speaking to you he will have ALL of your debts in front of him and will encourage you to add them to the list even if only months to go. Check the interest rate on every debt you have. Few will be as high as Freedom Plus. I did none of the above and the minimum interest rate NEVER applies. My rate was the Maximum they could charge. A stupid way to live.

Although setting up the loan was a very simple process, I was told by the loan rep that after paying on time for 6 months, I could rework the loan to obtain a lower interest rate. I have had this loan now for almost 2 years with no response to my inquiries to refinancing to get that lower interest rate and I have not been late for any payment.

After a talk with a broker Cassandra who I informed in the first few minutes of discussion I did not want a 20% interest rate after a phone interview lasting at least 15 min plus we get to great news you’re approved at 22% rate when I reminded her that I thought that was outside my limit the response was from her was to hang up without another word ,at the least this shows contempt for the customer and puts a lie to any thought of any other purpose than the loan .if they truly care I expect an apology tho I doubt it. But I will share my experience anytime there name comes up. %

They have my interest rate at 21.99% interest like $7 a day per diem I borrowed $12,000 almost two and a half years ago and I still have to pay them not almost $9,000 something I don't miss my payment comes out automatically I don't miss . I was misled when I took this loan out I can't wait to be done with these people this company is the worst it's not freedom anything

I was effected by the pandemic and FreedomPlus allowed me one deferment but after things did not get better they decided to aggressively go after me rather than understand that a lot of Americans are having a hard time right now. Worst customer service ever!! They pull you in with a nice, knowledgeable agent who promises great things, then you are on your own from there. I never got an actual answer to any of my emails only 'it looks like you called and resolved your answer' even though i did not and emailed back that i did not and still got the same canned response EVERY time.. The people i called and spoke to were rude and short with me and made it seem like i was at fault when i wasnt. Rude, unprofessional, unresponsive customer service! If i could, id give it all back and forget this crappy company!

The original loan was very smoothly processed but at a very high rate. The client originator repeatedly told me that after two on time payments, the loan could be renegotiated at a lower rate. After two years of on time payments, I inquired about renegotiating at a lower rate (the prime lending rate has dropped 200 basis points in this time frame). I was informed their rates were not tied to any measurable benchmark and any savings would be lost to origination fees. This was particularly surprising since two weeks prior, one of their CSRs was the person whop suggested refinancing to me.
