Competitive Claims Process

Similar to other companies, you can submit a claim online or over the phone at any time. After you submit a claim, United Home Warranty will assign you a contractor from its network. The contractor will contact you to schedule an appointment to diagnose and make the repair if covered.

United Home Warranty's contractors are licensed and qualified. They also carry workers compensation, third-party general, and automobile liability coverage.

If your item is not repairable, you may be offered a replacement instead.

30-Day Workmanship Guarantee

The home warranty provider offers a 30-day workmanship guarantee, which is fairly standard for the industry. Some companies offer longer guarantees and also guarantee parts.

Plan Selection

United Home Warranty offers three plan options with 13-month contracts and a 10-day waiting period. The company's contract length is long for the industry. The 10-day waiting period is also short compared to the industry's common 30-day waiting period. 

Contract fee costs are available online. However, information about the service fee is limited online.

The Basic Plan covers appliances — refrigerators, ranges, cooktops, ovens, dishwashers, built-in microwaves, built-in food centers, clothes washers, clothes dryers, garage door openers, and trash compactors.

The Basic Plan starts at $29.99 per month.

The Premium Plan covers systems — air conditioning, heating, plumbing, and electrical. You'll also benefit from coverage for water heaters, smoke detectors, ceiling fans, central vacuum, instant hot and cold water dispensers, and garbage disposals.

This plan starts at $32.99 per month.

If you're interested in full coverage, the VIP Plan offers the same coverage of the Basic and Premium plans. It starts at $54.99 per month.

Each of these plans is customizable. You can add coverage for a guest unit, septic tank, well pump, pool, and spa to your plan.

No Online Sample Contract
