Various Warranty Types

ServiceOne offers both an evaluated and a non-evaluated Traditional Home Warranty Plan. The non-evaluated plan features a free listing option for sellers and reduced liability during and after a home's sale. The evaluated plan features 13 months of coverage starting at $450 for the buyer after closing. The company also provides new construction warranties for $99 per year plus tax.

Service Agreements

Customers can opt to choose one of four service agreements at a lower cost that provide coverage for a select number of appliances. This reduces the normal $75 deductible down to $25 per service call. Full details regarding these service agreements can be found on the company's website.

Available Financing Options

ServiceOne offers customers various promotional financing offers for purchases made with the company's credit card issued through Synchrony Bank. Customers are able to apply for unsecured revolving credit lines and open credit lines on future purchases with monthly payments and online account management. Customers can also pay their home warranty bills online directly on the company's website.

The company does not have warranties certain items covered by similar industry competitors. The ServiceOne home warranty does not protect pool/spa equipment or roof leak repair. Other restrictions may apply to covered items as well which are fully disclosed in the company's terms and conditions in its warranties. The company is only licensed to do business in two states.

No Online Claims

ServiceOne does not give the customers the ability to file claims online. Customers must contact the home warranty company by phone to request service repairs. Service calls are scheduled during normal weekday business hours plus Saturdays. The company excludes any work performed on Sundays or holidays and other restrictions may apply regarding response times.

No Mobile App

The company does not offer a mobile app for customers to file claims or make payments.

ServiceOne was under contract with us for 2 different homes and for the period Nov 2007 thru Nov 2011. I spent at least 10-12 hours researching companies before selecting ServiceOne and that paid off. We never had a single complaint with them and the only company that was cheaper in my research at the time had lousy ratings. During this period, we had the following repairs: -Plumbing repair -Garage door spring replacement -Dishwasher repaired -Sprinkler timer replaced -AC repair -Refrigerator ice maker repair -Semi-annual AC unit checkups for a very reasonable cost. About every 2-3 years I researched again to see which was the best company. This company was always the best in Arizona for rates and service, bar none! However, it was taken over by OneGuard in November 2011, at least for our area.

Good service .. my mother had a contract with service one and when she needed them to fix the overhang that was falling down on her house they did fix it with no problems and the work they done met my mother's expectations. Of course her premium went up after her claim but most companies do raise your rates after a claim
