Had sears home warranty out work on my AC unit. I have a split ac unit. They fixed my downstairs unit but not the upstairs unit. It stopped working within an hour of the techs departure. This was on a weekend, the temperature on both days were 114 degrees. Sears warranty said they couldn’t have a tech out until the following Wednesday at 3:30 pm. At 3:30 I received a text saying they canceled my appointment because the warranty group submitted the wrong paperwork. It took almost 3 hours to get a hold of Sears to set up an appointment. The earliest they can come out is the following Friday. When I asked why I did not receive a phone call or text explaining the reason that they canceled my appointment or at least schedule another appointment for me automatically they tried to sell me additional services. I told the gentleman on the phone that their customer service was terrible and he was crazy trying to sell me additional services they can screw me on. Hopefully I’ll get my AC fixed next week.

I wish I could give negative stars! This is the WORST! DO NOT SIGN UP! Sears is just stealing your hard earned money with this one. Do yourself a favor and pay a bit more to get someone reliable. We are currently stuck paying $50 a month, and I have tried multiple times to schedule repairs. I pay the additional $75 for someone to come out and every time, either no one shows up, or the person shows up, says they can't do anything, and proceeds to walk out. But yet, all they have to do is show up and they get paid. They don't have to actually fix your problem. Customer Service is a joke. It's completely automated. If you do manage to get ahold of someone, you will be on the phone waiting for hours, and you won't be satisfied with their responses. This service is completely unreliable, and I would not recommend to anyone!

We have had this warranty for many years. No problems until Cinch took over as administrator. Now it is extremely difficult to reach an actual person when issues arise. Am often placed on hold for more than an hour or more even when calling at night. Obviously not enough response lines. When my refrigerator needed repair a few months ago, it took 2 weeks before a service tech could be scheduled; then had to wait another 7-10 days for a tech to be scheduled to return even though the parts were delivered to my home many days prior. Now We are taking cold showers because a service technician cannot be located and scheduled. Am told that under the circumstances, management can OK for the customer to find a repair person and submit the bill for reimbursement under the warranty. This option is useless since the necessary management personnel are never there during the hours that I am finally able to get through. AND the people on the evening and night lines state that they are not able to take a request for management callback. It will be a hardship on our budget to have the repair done ourselves, but that apparently is what we must do and eat the costs even though I am paying for service that I am not getting. I AM THROUGH WITH SEARS AND CINCH. Cancelling my warranty.

I have a Kenmore refrigerator which is not cooling correctly and I have Sears Home Warranty. I called Sears and they set an appointment. (4/15/22) The day of the appointment the tech called asked me what was wrong with my refrigerator (I told him he should have the information in the service order) however I went ahead and told him and he said it sound like my a compressor. The tech said he was going to order parts, he never showed up. I received an email saying the parts have been ordered and the tech illegally signed my name on the service order as if he had been at my house and assessed the problem. My parts came after about a month. An appointment was set to repair. On the day of the repair the appointment was canceled and rescheduled. I called off work to wait from 8-5. This happened 4 more times with me taking off work to wait from 8-5 with no one showing up. I get another appointment and I am waiting. I get an email saying my service has been completed with the same tech illegally signing my name on the service order. So I spent the next 3 hours on the phone trying to resolve my problem. I spoke to about 6 people and 1 virtual chat and was sent from one person to the next with everyone saying my issue is being escalated and each time explaining my story over and over again. When I speak to everyone I always ask for their name. One fellow gave me one name and at the end of the call gave me another. When I finally spoke to someone regarding the tech that illegally signed my name twice he hung up on me. I just now received parts for my repair ( even though I have already received them). These parts are not for a Kenmore. I don’t think this will ever get resolved and I wasted money thinking I was protecting my finances. I paid up front for the whole year warranty and I have missed 5 unpaid days of work. Listen to me: DO NOT PURCHASE SEARS HOME WARRANTY—-BIG MISTAKE!!!

Amazingly Bad! I have been paying $50 a month for my Sears home warranty for 10 years. The last time I needed my washing machine fixed, it took three months to complete with endless frustration of me constantly having to follow up. My machine broke again and the tech said it needs to be replaced. The contract says it will repair or replace my machine if not repairable. I am in an endless cycle of calls and have no faith they will stand behind the contract. Sears sucks and do not ever get a home warranty from them, of course they will be completely gone shortly due to their ability to suck worse than anything that has ever sucked before!

Sears Home Warranty has to be the worst Warranty company in the industry. I've been without air conditioning for 3 weeks. I have tried for weeks to get some help. for days I've called and been placed on hold for over one half hour then get disconnected . I tied the chat line and they are worthless. Yesterday I got transfered 15 times to different departments none of which were able to tell me how much longer. I tried calling corporate and no one answered and directed me back to where I started. The provider they had contacted originally said sears shipped the wrong parts 3 times. Now the provider won't answer my calls to get updates. That whole operation should be shut down.

A technician came out 4/7/2022 to look why the Whirl Pool washer was retaining water. He actually didn't do anything because there was no model number. Sears said the technician provided no additional information. They sent another technician about three weeks later. He said bottom of the tub is cracked on the washing machine; also stated there is no model number. Again Sears said they have assigned a new company. The third technician came out and said as the others said there is no model number. This cannot be replaced without a model number. During this time calling them and them saying they need additional information from the technician. After being frustrated spoke with a Supervisor and was told they are reviewing and will receive an answer that day (5/25/2022). Of course no reply. Called again today(5/30/2022) and received the same information. Told the young lady I was suppose to get a response on the same day last week. Now she is saying it will take a few more days. Almost two months that mom have been waiting. This is unacceptable!

They came out here not even a week ago. Called because the wash machine was leaking from the bottom. $75 deductible. Technician recommended smaller load and less detergent. We did exactly as instructed. The machine continues to have the same problem. Called back to make them aware still having same issue. It will be another $75 deductible. Oh no I told him. You sent a technician out here to fix a water leak from the bottom. It is not my fault if your technician didn't fix it. This is not another problem. Its the same one I called about not even a week ago. So it obvious your technician didnt find the problem.. That is not my fault. They are ridiculous. So disgusted

We obtained the service the end of December and made our first claim on April 14 for HVAC that was not working. They assigned a technician to look at the problem on May 4th which was more than 2 weeks from the tone we filed the claim. I took the day off so I could be here, received a text message that he was on his way at 10AM and no one showed up. They automatically rescheduled it for the 8th without asking me. He did shoe up that day at 3PM after getting the text at 10AM that day. He took about 30 minutes to diagnose the problem. He said it was the evaporator coil that was leaking refrigerant. The stayed parked in his vehicle when he got done from 3:30 to 5:30. After which I get a text that the problem was not covered due to a ore existing condition. Now the claim was filed four months after the policy took effect in the first place and how would he know it was a pre existing condition? They are so quick to take your money but figure out all sorts of loopholes in order not to pay. I would strongly recommend staying away from this company

I scheduled an appointment to have my Weber Grill repaired, it was confirmed twice. This morning Sears called to,tell me that the repairman was on his way. I checked - he would be here at 8:01 AM. Not 5 minutes after the first call Joseph, the repairman, called to tell me that Sears did not service Weber Grills! He was not coming. Why did they schedule an appointment for something they didn’t service. Why continue to confirm the appointment if they didn’t service the grill. What a waste of my time! Obviously, Sear doesn’t care about customers. If I could I would have give. Them no stars.

They came out to repair my maytag front load washer. Parts kept arriving damaged. UPS driver advising not packaged to minimum specifications . Tech advised to manager to replace the unit. Fast forward 7 months still sitting in 50 pcs. As tech left it In my garage. Numerous phone calls. Its coming, its coming. Cant move forward as contract says keep all parts and packaging. My father in law a 30 plus year employee is rolling inhis grave at what sears is NO MORE. My advice DO NOT purchase anything sears. They have become all lies. Forwarding all my data to State attorney generals office. And they just sent me my renewal notice!. What a farce. W.L Collins. WiNstoN Salem. NC.

Sears Home Warranty is just a money grab…your appliances will not be fixed! The technicians are not adequate to fix the repairs. I purchased a kitchen aid refrigerator with the home warranty in 2017, and started experiencing water leaks in 2018. They sent multiple technicians the first one would diagnose and order parts for a follow-up appointment once it arrives. Each time the parts arrive a different technician would come (times they wouldn’t come) and say it’s not needed. Leave with the part(s) and a month or two later the same issue occurs. And get this, each of the technicians have told me they can’t see the notes or what the previous tech has done. So each time you’re starting from scratch! The warranty states you have to have a certain amount of parts ordered and placed on your appliance before they’ll replace it. So with them ordering and taking the parts for their inventory I suppose because they are not fixing anything…they will not replace your appliance. Its now April 30, 2022 and I’m still having issues with the refrigerator…it’s no longer cooling. I have recently lost food and have been without a refrigerator that doesn’t work for 2 weeks!!! They want a receipt to prove the lost of food….WTH! Who saves their receipt in case their refrigerator goes out! They don’t communicate with you…you have to constantly call them and each rep tells you something different! One of the technicians informed Sears will never replace my appliance…they will just keep sending technicians out until the warranty end date. It’s been 4 years of frustration! If you like being frustrated, wasting your money, wasting your time and meeting new technicians all the time to not fix anything go for it! I recommend you to go with a different company that will honor the warranty and you as a paying customer!

My refrigerator has not worked properly since July 2021. We've had 5 service calls and no one seems to know what the hell is going on . The same parts have been replaced several times. I am beyond frustrated. A service tech came out again on 4/19 and reorder the same parts again stating that the previous parts may have ben refurbished. He rescheduled an appointment for today 4/30 to replace the ordered parts. The service time window was from 1 pm - 5 pm. Of course, no one showed up. I just spoke with customer service and even though I have received electronic confirmation, they show no record of today's appointment. The parts were delivered a few days ago. We've had food to spoil because the refrigerator is not getting cold enough. It appeared to work at times then we would open the refrigerator and the temp was too warm. We pay our required monthly service fee for the contract. This is not acceptable. I have a family and we need a functioning refrigerator. I have been waiting on hold for almost an hour for the escalation department. I hate SEARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dealing with Sears home warranty program has been by far in my life and I have been divorced and we went through six judges for one divorce, so when I tell you don't waste your time which is more important than your money, because you will find nothing but pure frustration. I have high-end appliances which seemed for some reason to be the ones that they do not cover but they don't tithers to begin with. The other huge reason not to go with this particular company is they choose the technician and they could take a week or two to get out your home and then another week or two to decide whether or not there going to even repair your appliance when if you have the opportunity yourself to pick technician you could call around find somebody who's available that day or the next day and when been thank you mam your done. The technicians know this and they know that you are a harbored captive and have no reason to give you good service, I think the technicians also know that as soon as you have to deal with your first technician you're going to want to get out and no never hear from you again. Dealing with the customer service people for the most part was good they were understanding and polite however had zero power to actually accomplish anything and therefore you are still at the hands of the mismanaged management or well-managed crooks I think I'm going to go with the latter due to the extensive number of bad reviews they are getting. I'm not a religious person but I hope is a cell in hell for these people or at least karma will catch up with them. Hopefully you every needs reviews will avoid the nightmare, oh one last thing. I waited on two hours to try to cancel, they never picked up the line and this was after being transferred to the cancellation department by a supervisor which only took four days to get a hold of. I then promptly called my credit card provider Chase Bank, the person who answered the phone stated what the words Sears home warranty that there would be no problems canceling the reoccurring charge, he said he hears this all the time about that company and they were well aware of their practices and this was just one credit card company so that speaks volumes. I think I'm going to hold off from another company for now, but in my research I did find one that appears to be decent so there is one out there that I'm not gonna say it because I don't want to be accused of being a shill for anyone and had my review not be believable. But read the contract before you sign with any company. Oh my gosh that is reminding me of one more thing with Sears when they say they will replace the appliance what they mean is they will replace the appliance with one that does the same function that means if you have a $8000 refrigerator like I do, and they can't repair it and are going to replace it they will replace it with a bottom of the line appliance that will hold some cold area for a while. And they know you're going to drop them so they won't have to repair that one. Bottom line, don't sign.

I wish there was a zero star. I would give that. I called for a service, they tossed me from one department to the other for 75 minutes. Every department I would speak with, they would tell me "oh we are not thr right department, let me transfer you." Finally, appointment was set...but no one showed up. I called the number that was given to me if there was any issues, gues what....they starting to trasfer me again. Third guy told me, " I dont see any appointments in our system." This guy recommended me that I should call the first guy.....hahahaha. WTF is this. I am calling my credit card and asking for refund of the money I have been paying.

I signed up for the Sears Home Warranty on January 20 because the telephone representative told me that it would be cheaper than a one time maintenance fee. The initial startup charge was for $149. So a week later the first technician came to my house and diagnosed a bad cooling element. He stated that Kenmore uses cheap parts in their refrigerators and the parts are known to fail. Since I was new to the warranty program, the tech also told me to wait three weeks for the warranty coverage to kick in and another technician would come out to order the parts at no additional charge. BTW, the repair techs cost $75 for every visit to your home. So I set up another appointment for April 2 and that appointment was canceled without notice on the day of my appointment. The second tech finally shows up five days later to diagnose a completely different part and states that Kenmore is selling cheaply made products that are designed to fail. He recommended that we purchase a new refrigerator. I called customer service to cancel the warranty and to ask for a refund. I was not happy with the level of service that I received. My card was being charged $54 a month for three months. The warranty service representative didn’t want to let me out of the contract unless I paid $75. I refused to give them another cent of my money when I have not received quality service from competent individuals.

I have paid for this warranty for over 7 years at $50 +- per month. Having just sold my home and wishing to cancel the warranty service I found that I either had to pay for 3 more months before cancellation could occur, or a $149.xx penalty for early cancellation. I have used this service only twice (both times for the same dishwasher) since its purchase, of course with a $75.00 non-optional service fee charged per visit. Yes, I could have purchased the same appliance twice for the overall warranty's cost. Unless your appliances are of the highest value but lowest quality, or your household contains very damage-prone occupants, consider long and hard before purchasing these types of warranties.

This has been thee worst experience, dealing with these people. This ordeal began in Dec.,it is now March and we would still dealing with the incompetence of this company. 1. The schedulers setting up appts are in India. You ask to speak with a Supervisor they are never available. They tell you one thing over the phone but send you and email confirmation that is totally different. 2 The technicians appear to be clueless. The initial tech comes out, who was to order a part that never arrived. To wait a month for another tech to come and give a totally different diagnosis. To be rescheduled. He returns 2-3 weeks later. Heating system works three weeks if that. We are now at the end of March and it has been cold. They set you up with an appt and change the time. Finally the tech arrives looks at the unit knocks on it a few times. I am sure by the time he reached the bottom of street it was out again and they can’t return until April 9. Don’t worry this contract is cancelled.

I told them my fridge was broken. I told them this a known problem with LG fridges. They sent out a technician 7 different times before they agreed the fridge couldnt be fixed. They at 1st offered about half the price of the fridge until I sent them 8 differenr prices of the same fridge. Finally after 2 months of negotiations they sent me an adequate check. My microwave broke. It took 3 visits to fix. It broke again and twice they cancelled the appointment on the day of the appointment after several emails and texts telling me technician was on his way to fix. A technician finally arrived but was in his car. His truck was out of service. He ordered parts and again they canceled an appointment on the day of the appointment and scheduled a week later. I am still waiting for a technician to arrive to fix it. I would choose another company.

I called Sears (now Transformco) to perform preventative maintenance on my heating units. Sales team sold me this home warranty by telling me that the premium would be cheaper than then maintenance visit. Insurance included maintenance visit plus lot of other benefits. I was also told that I can cancel the insurance anytime without incurring any fees. So I bought the insurance. Few weeks later I scheduled the preventative maintenance visit (difficult task). The person who visited my apartment said these units are not covered under the policy! These HVAC units don't even need any maintenance besides cleaning the filers. I also used the policy to fix my refrigerator and paid $75 out of pocket for that (no parts replaced; just a lose wire connection). I called Sears to cancel my policy since I couldn't use it for heating units. I was now told that I have to pay $150 plus to cancel since I used the service for Refrigerator (I wasn't informed about this charge at the time of purchasing the policy). The third party who came to fix the wire in my fridge had charged Sears only $75 so not sure what $150+ fee was. Overall wait time on calls / scheduling is very high. I won't recommend this policy to anyone.

Thus the worst service. There is a no star rating, but you have to choose one. Kennire refrigerator stopped cooling in January 2022. Lost food due to being thawed out. Here it is end of March. They have replaced about 4 parts. Still have not heard about. On 14 March, tech really laced part and said should work now. Wanted to make sure, so didn’t grocery shop until March 23. On March 24 went to get out ce cream and it was thawed out again. Called Sears. They sent a tech out on March 25. Now they want to replace entire freezer door. The ice in the door. And they cannot do that until April 11, but email and part repair are stating April 15th. The refrigerator gets hot and cools and this has been happening since January 2022. . As a customer, I have been loosing food since January. I was told I could request another food loss. I haven’t even heard anything about first food loss. You get $300 for loss of food. We can’t buy grand cerise or trust the refrigerator to stay cool. Sit and wait for 4 months maybe this part will work. Warranty is will expire in July. Thank h abs when you call for service, they want to sell you a whole home warranty. Why would I want to purchase a new warranty, if the old one has not resolved my issue for 4 months. Definitely do not recommend Sears or warranty service from Sears.

It should be a zero. It started off okay when I first bought the warranty in the summer. They came and fixed a freezer drawer. Then the holidays came the dishwasher broke down and sears send a nice tech who ordered the parts and said it should be no problem. A couple of weeks later the problem began. They send a tech who did not know what he was doing and new and could not get help at all and claimed the part sent had no program in it that it was up to me to follow up with BOSCH. I only have a contract with Sears for repairs not Bosch and it is beyond manufacturer's warranty. Bosch will not and has no reason to help me. He left me with a completely unusable DW and they refuse to deal with it. I have called, messaged them and emailed. I get ignored and the same thing repeated. I can not even get them to cancel this useless contract. I am trying to get all my money back as its over $50 a month and $75 everytime you have a problem which now they don't fix. I turned it over to the NYS Attorney General. They are currently writing Sears, I wonder if they will ignore them. Sears used to be so good, those days are long gone.

After two years I finally used warranty for a leaking GE Monogram dishwasher that was 3 years old. Sears sends local guy who after 2 tries could not fix (his last idea was to replace spraying arms which made no sense). But the service request was closed. To reopen means another $100. Trying to call is useless. They finally tell me the spraying arms were not authorized, so now they want me to hire someone to diagnose and send the diagnose to them and they will decide if they will continue my service request. Service sucks but trying to communicate is worse. I am now trying to cancel the warranty but can't get someone to answer. I regret so much ever wasting a dime with these idiots. DO NOT waste your money.

Just the worst. A total rip-off. Buyer Beware. After being unable to get Sear-Cinch to provide me with any service I tried to cancel the warranty. But even that is a nightmare. I have spent the last two months trying to cancel this useless warranty. Every month Sears - Cinch steals $50 (49.99) out of my checking account. I have tried to call them, email them, contact them online and I cannot get anyone who can cancel this non-service. I finally got someone on a chat line and after about 10 minutes of bla-bla-bla they told me that I had to contact some other department in order to cancel - the same departments I have already tried to contact but to no success. I tried to put a stop payment on these charges but the bank says they can't do anything because Sears has my debit card number - the only fix is for me to change my debit card. Anyway a total hassle. Beware of this trap. Stay away from this worthless warranty.

The Sears Home Warranty is a joke, DO NOT waste your money. Purchased after washer and fridge both went out (only 5 years old and very expensive appliances bought at Sears). Paid about $600 or so in repair for my fridge and luckily the washer was still under the home protection plan. Was told I would get a discount on the existing repair and for $49.99 per month, ANYTHING that would happen to my appliances would be covered...LIE! A year later and another $600 in total monthly fees, my freezer started making ice underneath. Technician for warranty ($75 deductible) said it was a problem with the gaskets (not covered by warranty). Nobody called to inform me and a week goes by before I had to call myself just to find out my repair is not covered. A month later, the entire fridge stopped working. Another $75, a week wait for appointment, and now it's the compressor. Deja vu. No one gets back to me and I have to call and follow up just to find out, big surprise, not covered. This time due to manufacturers warranty. Now my manufacturer warranty only covers parts at this point, not labor. I called Sears back and was told they cover the labor but I have to order the parts from my manufacturer warranty. The manufacturer says if I order the parts and have Sears do the installation, my manufacturer warranty would then be void. Luckily I trusted my instinct and did not proceed. Called back Sears and was told the person who advised the labor would be covered was incorrect, they only do that for Kenmore products. Called again and spoke with someone else, who said labor is not covered even for Kenmore. Different information every time!!!! And guess what, nothing is wrong with my gaskets per the manufacturer technician, Sears just put that down as the issue knowing it's not covered. I thought Sears was trustworthy but I will never shop there again and canceling my warranty as soon as the contract is up, waste of hard earned money.

I wish I had checked here before purchasing this plan. I wish I could give them a negative star. It has been a terrible experience. I got muscled into getting the plan when I scheduled maintenance on a washer to "get up to $150 off the first service". I told the agent I needed some time to think about it and would sign up online if I decided to go ahead. He told me, urgently, that I should not signup online if I wanted the $150 off and that I should do it with him. I'm an idiot, because I signed up. Needless to say, the service was over $600, so I declined it, but was still charged $150 for him showing up and no service. NOW, I've been trying to cancel the service for over two months. It is almost impossible to actually get a hold of anyone using the phone number they provide on their website. THEN, when I did get a hold of someone he said he would cancel my plan and refund me some money. This month, I saw another charge for $49.99. I am now on hold with Sears AGAIN to cancel this. After waiting 15 minutes, I got a hold of someone in Customer Service, who had to transfer me to Memberships, so I was on hold for another 15 minutes. When I talked to someone in Memberships, he said their system is down so I'll have to call back. Their system miraculously came back up before we hung up. He said, he sees the notes to cancel, but it never happened. WELL, at least the notes were in there! I am now on hold while he is working on the cancellation... not sure WHY it's taking so long. But, here we are.

Do not buy a Sears Home Warranty. I cancelled mine after two months. When the repairman came to fix my washing machine, he stayed 5 minutes and listened to me explain the problem and then turned around and walked out of my garage without even touching the machine! According to the warranty contract, I had to pay the $75 service fee because he "showed up" to my house even though he did not even touch my machine. This is a scam. You are charged $50 a month for the plan and then charged another $75 if they show up to your house and do nothing. I wish I would have read the reviews on this website first before I tried the plan and wasted a total of $200!

I am a single mom owed nearly $1,000 back from Sears Home Warranty. They were not able to fix my Bosch gas range but said they could. Come to find out he never even opened up the back of the range to discover the problem in the initial visit. They charged up front for parts and labor nearly totaling $1,000. I waited patiently for the parts to come in and then Sears to come back and fix. Second visit was told that they would not be able to fix it after he opened it up. I was promised by my technician that I would have my money returned promptly because they were not able to fix the range like they had stated. This work started in November of 2021. It is now January 2022 and my money has not been returned. I have called customer service multiple times trying to speak with a manager to clear up the issue. No one calls back ever. I tried to cancel my warranty in the first 30 days stating that they were not able to provide the service in which they had promised. Sears told me if I wanted to cancel that I would need to pay again for the service call and pay for the service discount that I never received because they didn't fix anything. I've done nothing here but lose lots of time and money and still paying interest on money that is mine and Sears will not return. It is theft, I will be taking this to a higher authority since Sears is not taking me seriously. Do not trust Sears Home Warranty.

Easy to place a claim but a nightmare to deal with the providers, a&e factory services is the only one that works. When it comes to replace the appliance, they simply won't do it, they will find any excuse to ovoid it. Appliances came with the house 80"s, the top range broke after 12 years of personal use, and they won't replace it because it didn't have a seal to avoid the damage (it wasn't because it gave 30 years of good services). They can't find the parts to fix our wall oven and they authorized a replacement, of course 27" W around $1699.72 will fit with some modifications (we can do them) but not they just authorized a 30" W around $1,888 bigger that the cabinet because is the only one available (Not true, find several options ourselves). Sears Home Warranty advise us several times to take our second option of taking $681.47 and replace it ourselves. We do recommend you AVOID SEARS Home Warranty

Technician came to our house to diagnose a problem with the washing machine. He concluded that it needed a new door and would arrive within 5 days. We waited over 2 weeks when Sears sent an email saying our claim was denied. They do not fix doors. I contacted their customer service and spoke to a bored representative. She told me that they do not fix anything structural and I explained that a washing machine cannot operate with a door. She really didn't care and transferred me to membership services. That person was even worse. I again explained my situation to no avail and demanded my warranty be canceled. She said Sears will charge a cancelation fee of 150.00. We have brought several home warranties and this one is by the the absolute worst.

In August 2021, we called Sears Repair Service to fix our inoperative 9 year-old LG washing machine. The technician arrived as scheduled, was personable and professional, and did a good job of repairing the washer. When it came time to settle the bill, he pitched their home warranty service plan which would cover most of our appliances. Despite the fact that I do not believe in service contracts and prefer to pay as I go, this one seemed like a good deal so we bought it. MISTAKE!!! Included in signing up for the $50/month program was a $150 discount coupon to be used in helping cover the cost of the current washer repair. Shortly after this repair, we decided to sell that home and buy one with more acreage. We sold the old home on 10/12/2021. It's now 1/10/2022 and for the last week or so we've been having problems getting the washing machine (same machine that was repaired last August but now with a different problem) to start properly. I called to place a service call, and also to advise them of the address change. The rep I spoke to (Sam) advised that their service contracts are address specific and cannot simply be transferred from one home to another. To get service at our new address, we would have to cancel the original contract and purchase a new one for our new address - that by the way, would not go into effect for 30 days, despite the fact that we are already customers. Additionally Sam stated, cancellation of the original contract required that the $150 sign-up coupon we got in August be voided and we would have to pay that amount to cancel - or they would continue to bill us the $50/month - for protection on appliances we didn't own anymore! I explained to Sam that I really didn't want to cancel the contract, but simply get service at our new location and not the old one. No matter said Sam, this is how things are handled and that's that. No effort at an accommodation or anything. Pay the $150 to cancel or continue to be billed for the $50/month - for appliances we hadn't owned for three months now but had paid $150 to protect. By this time I was really steamed and told Sam what he and his company could do with their service in my best old-sailor verbiage. So now I've reverted back to my old policy of no service contracts - PERIOD! And in the end, Sears Home Warranty turned a customer who wanted to continue doing business with them into one who will bad-mouth them at every opportunity. And an interesting aside. Our new home was a flip that was completely refurbished before we bought it - including all brand new appliances (except for the washer and dryer we brought with us). So all these greedy guys needed to do was bend their rigid policy just a bit and they could have got $50/month from us for a long time - with probably little or no expense to them.

I feel compelled to write another review, as I have been waiting since 12/13/2021 to get my washer fixed. This service should be at ZERO Stars, as they have not done anything to earn it. A repairman was finally dispatched to my home on 1/14/2022, and informed me that my washer could not be fixed. He explained that SHW would contact me in a couple of days and give me my options. I've talked to SHW several times since then and have been told that I should hear something by next Tuesday. I'm dating myself, but it reminds me of "Wimpy" from Popeye, that wanted a Burger and would gladly pay for it on Tuesday. I've called SHW every Wednesday since, because nothing ever happens on Tuesday. Today I got a msg that my case is currently being assigned to a Service Provider. I called and they informed me again that the last Service Provider did not turn in his paperwork, so they have to assign another provider to come out, with the standard response, "It's been sent to dispatch, and I should her something in 24-48 hours." I think I'm just going to go buy another washer, and just see how long this is going to take to resolve. Well, reading the other reviews, I see that I am not alone in this. A community of people that have been taken advantage of, by a useless company. If nothing else, I would rather they get out of the business, and hopefully our reviews help. "If you can't honor your agreements, then stop taking people's MONEY.

Technicians rarely available through their system. Contract out to Keepe. Keepe is ok but their technician didn't know how to get my dishwasher out from the counter and I had to do it myself and show him. He replaced a part and said I bet it's going to leak - which it did and I had to clean that up. He was supposed to order a new part. It's been 8 weeks. I still have no dishwasher and now Keepe has to send out another tech for a second opinion. Keepe says Cinch/Sears won't reply and Cinch/Sears says the same about Keepe. They don't mind continuing to charge me that $50 a month without offering any service. Quite the scam.

My father has had sears home warranty since the 1970s. Long ago it was worth it. A good company. Now currently, it is a terrible company. We should have the option for 0 stars. Customer service is a joke! I have notes when I waited on hold for anywhere from 45mins up to 2hrs. Many times the phone line disconnected itself. The new administration is no longer sears store. They have extremely negative customer service. In my many discussions with them I have several names of people I spoke to and recorded notes of the conversations. It took me over 1year to have a refrigerator replaced which included having to sign up and pay for another year of service before I could get the replacement refrigerator. The individual service people that show up to fix your appliance have nothing to do with the problems. All the problems come from the phone group and administration. My advise is to never use sears home warranty or sears appliance warranty, they are all the same with several different phone numbers. I know, because I have them recorded in my notes.

HORRIBLE! WASTE OF MONEY! We live in a rural area, have been waiting since March for a fridge to be repaired. Repairman came and didn't fix it right, and since then it has been a nightmare. The email they give you for Sears kicks back as undeliverable, the phone calls run you in circles, and they won't let you out of the contract early or refund $$ due to lack of service. Ridiculous, so glad to finally have our year up and be able to cancel the contract. Now have to go replace the fridge on our own. If someone at Sears ever chooses to read this and make it right, feel free to check contract #11847225

This is the biggest scam in the United States. I pay a monthly fee to have the service and then $75 per visit. They have been out three times in four months to fix my refrigerator as the water line keeps freezing up. They have never once actually touched the darned appliance. This past Monday, they told me they refuse to cover fixing it and told the technician (Who is great) to leave the property. I am in Northern Vermont, not that this should make a difference, so waiting for a week or two to get service is also a pain. Save your money and go with a different service. Sears deserved to go bankrupt in 2018 and should not be in business now. I am disgusted that an American institution like Sears has become a sell-out who screws their customer base.

FILED COMPLAINT WITH FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF FINANCIAL SERVICES Filed a claim because microwave was not heating. The sears login directs you to Cinch warranty home services. Technician from majestik went out and the claim was rejected because a door spring was damaged which had been broken for years. The spring, which is now not covered, had nothing to do with the heating element i filed claim about Ironically, majestik serviced this microwave in the past and it was never an issue. Yet majestik will not fix the heating until the spring is not fixed. The best comparison is that i would take a vehicle for an engine repair. The mechanic realizes that my window wont roll down so therefore they will not fix the engine until the window is repaired but the window is not covered and has nothing to do with the engine. I religiously pay sears to cover my microwave should it stop heating. I was left no choice but to report this incident to florida financial services. Cinch wants to offer a partial credit but is not willing to send another service provider to fix the heating element because im sure it will cost them more. The heating is covered under my contract. Shame on them trying to take advantage and try to make an extra dollar. Do not use sears warranty. I NEVER write reviews but this, i had to do something about. I'm sure they will respond quickly to this review. But i filed this claim almost 2 months ago and to date, not resolved. Service number is SCCPA2A40284

I signed up for a Sears home warranty during a repair for my washing machine. Turned out to be a clogged drain, and was resolved. About 39 days after this I needed to have another technician come out because the machine was really loud. Upon this next technician arriving and diagnosing the problem, he stated to the claims department on the phone that this issue “didn’t happen overnight” and as a result, they denied my claim. They said the issue must have occurred prior to the start of my warranty starting. Coincidentally the repair was for about $1200 and they probably would have needed to replace the machine. There is literally no way for them to determine an exact date this issue occurred, yet the previous repairman said the machine was in good working condition. So somewhere between the first repairman coming out (day 0) and the second one coming out (day 39) the issue occurred. Yet, they claim it’s impossible for it to have happened in the last 9 days when the warranty became effective. How can they make that claim with absolutely certainty?? They could literally say that about any repair I need done, just so they don’t have to cover the repair. “Oh, this couldn’t have happened in the last xxxx days… denied!” They even claim they cover pre-existing conditions but then pull this. I will never use Sears again, and strongly urge others to avoid this company at all costs. No wonder they are going downhill fast.

RE Case #7211105 On Sept.29th 2021 I was promised a check from Sears Protection Agreement Services. I emailed proper forms and was told they were not received. I then sent the forms twice with the USPS return receipt requested. Both letters were signed for at the front desk in Lake Mary Florida. After many calls I was told at one point a check had been issued on Nov. 1st, when I requested proof of that the call was disconnected. On December 1st 2021 I called again and was told they still had not received proper documentation, after two registered letters had been signed for . This is obviously a fraudulent company. Do not use Sears Protection Agreement it is a complete and total scam.

Sears Warranty is a big joke. " WARNING DO NOT BUY EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM SEARS" I have been without a refrigerator for over three month. I have called the Sears extended warranty department first they sent the first tech service man. He looked at my refrigerator and said my refrigerator was not repairable and had to be replaced. The sears extended warranty dept. didn't want to hear thar so they sent the 2nd service man and said he could probably fix it. he said would order parts 2 weeks ago and i still haven't heard. a thing. I call and they finally answered they put me on hold for over an hour and 52mins and than i get disconnected. This has happen to me several times. We are seniors we need a refrigerator to store our meds and we are on special diets so we are having to use ice chest having to buy several ice bags of ice to keep our ice chest cold for our meds and food. I just do not know what else to do. I gave it one star bc I couldn't give it minus 5 stars. This is a horrific way to treat life long Sears customers.

I wish there was a zero-rating. What a waste of money. They don't know what they are doing and I am certain it will cost me more money. That will be in addition to the $75 I paid for the service call on top of the monthly program charge of $64. Service came out and told me my trash compactor was beyond repair. They ordered a white compactor as the replacement. I called and said I didn't want white, I needed silver, and I would pay extra for the right color. They said my only choices were: They would give me $400 to go get my own (they cost around $1000) or I had to take the white one. So I took the white. They delivered it and it has been sitting in my kitchen for 3 days. No one called to schedule an installation. I called them and now they are telling me I have to wait 5 days before they will tell me how much they will give me to find someone to install it. The check will take 2 weeks to get to me. I am certain they will not offer me enough to cover the cost to install it, so I will have to pay the difference. That is the last money I will spend on this screwed-up warranty service.

I put in a claim on January 5, 2021 for repair to one of the burners on my LG smooth top range. Sears said that LG would be servicing this claim. Long story short, I heard from LG stating that due to the Pandemic the wait time forservice would be longer than usual, which I understood. After not hearing anything more about this claim after three months, I reached out to Sears who switched me to LG. Lg said they would send me a replacement. Three months later after many calls, they said they would send me a replacement check, which I did not receive untils October, 2021, only after writing a letter stating I was going to take Sears and LG to court. I cancelled my contract with Sears and would advise anyone who has a contract with them to do the same. They were unresponsive and did nothing to help resolve this matter, even though I had many years of being a member. TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE TERRIBLE customer service.

I really wish I had seen these reviews before doing business with this company. I have loved Sears for years as a department store and bought lots of appliances from them with great results. This company is not that company. We have had our home warranty with them for almost 2 years. My major issue is the once a year preventive maintenance. We have tried to schedule this twice now. Both times we failed. There is a time frame within which you must call to schedule. Outside of that timeframe you are out of luck. This is not written anywhere. The operators readily admit that it is not written in the contract. You are supposed to be told by the person who sells you the contract about this. There are no reminders sent out either. Absolutely poor customer service. We had one service call that took over a month to get. Nothing wrong with the service but over a month is ridiculous! It was for our freezer and as it turned out there was nothing major but had it been there would have been lots of wasted food in that time. I believe we will be moving on after this.

I would also give them negative stars. This warranty is a complete scam. Do not waste your money, save the $50 per month (plus $75 if they ever have to come out) and buy a new appliance when it breaks with that money. They refuse to send an actual Sears technician, only third party contractors. The warranty will not cover anything if your appliance breaks, it’s in their fine print that they don’t cover “structural components” which includes anything inside the machine! So they are basically saying we cover your dryer but not any parts of the dryer! Such a scam! I feel so taken advantage of.

They are the worst. Long story short, after having a failure on a one year old Kemore refrigerator the repairmen from Sears sold us on a Sears Home Warranty. We paid our $50 a month and when one of the burners on our stove stopped igniting they charged us $75 for a service call. The service provider was terrible and couldn’t figure out how to repair the igniter after 5 visits. As per the warranty I asked them to replace the stove. They sent a new service company who could not repair it after two tries. Then Sears said we had abused the stove, which was 18 years old, so it was not normal wear and tear. That stove was clean and never abused. They just don’t pay out. Avoid them!

If I could give negative stars I would! Literally this is the biggest scam ever!!!! DO NOT purchase this! It was NEVER mentioned that you are committed for a whole year of coverage- so now my washer repair ended up costing more than its worth. I needed my washer repaired on May 2021. The technician told me my whole repair was for $340 , but if I signed up for the Sears Home Warranty I would only pay $190 and I can cancel the warranty at any time without an extra charge. I tried cancelling but was told I would have to pay $150 to cancel the warranty. Mind you I have been paying for this warranty since June. So in reality my washer repair is costing me a lot more than $340. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Sears Home Warranty! HORRIBLE!!!

I want to preface this complaint by saying that I have been a Sears customer all my life and have always bought my appliances at Sears. A number of years ago, I purchased a Sears Home Warranty for the entire house. This was based on a recommendation by a Sears Technician, who had come to my house to repair an LG oven that I had a Sears warranty on. I purchased all LG appliances for our home in September of 2017 at the Sears store in Colorado Springs, where I had moved. So I have been paying for the whole house warranty since that time. I had a serious surgery in June of this year and as luck would have it, 4 days before my surgery my LG refrigerator stopped working. This was the day before I had 12 people to my house for dinner. You can't imagine the mess and the stress this created with spoiled food and water all over my wood floor. But I figured that with my Sears Home Warranty, I would at least have the refrigerator repaired by the time I came home from the hospital. During this time my husband and son made numerous calls about this but they were not successful in getting any elevation to this service call, despite the fact that it was imperative we have a working refrigerator for me when I got home. I was in the hospital for over a week and when I finally got home, I still had no refrigerator and an appointment that was just shy of a month from the break down - July 12th. I don't find that acceptable. To make matters worse, I was told that I was being referred to LG Electronics in Alabama because they wanted to fix their own appliances. So why do I have a Sears Home Warranty if I have to deal with the idiots at LG who DO NOT CARE what your problem is. They told me that there was "NOBODY" in my area to do this repair. This is a lie because I made calls myself and there are plenty of people in the Colorado Springs area that have experience fixing LG appliances. Suffice it to say, this was a very unpleasant experience. I ended up calling a local appliance company to come to my house and put in a temporary refrigerator because I needed ice for my injuries. They did this in less than 24 hours and for the record, the name of that company is Mr. Appliance. This company understands what customer service is. They could not have been nicer or more professional. Fast forward to September 25, 2021 when my dishwasher stops working. It is giving me an error code (AE) and it dings and rings constantly until I pull the plug on it. This has happened before, but I shut it off at the breaker, plug it back in and turn it on and it works for a few more times. Finally nothing works. I try calling Sears Home Warranty but that is an exercise in futility. You can never get a person on the phone who is remotely helpful. These people are parrots from another country do DO NOT CARE what your problem is. I file a claim online, pay the $100 and I get an Email telling me to wait 3 days for processing. The next day I get an e-mail telling me I have an appointment on October 18th for my dishwasher. The guy from A&E shows up on the 18th, he is here for an hour and a half and tells me he can't find anything wrong. We turn the breaker on and off and it starts working but I explain to him that we have done that before and it works a few times and then the error code comes back and it stops working. He finally leaves and gives me a useless phone number to call in the event that it stops working, which it does within the next week. I finally gave up on the useless number, talking to people who don't know what they are talking about and filed the order online. Finally on October 27 I get an email that tells me I have a "preferred service request" and all I have to do is call the imbecilic boobs at LG Alabama, tell them what time I want them to come and they are going to take care of it. This was in the email: "They will either confirm that time or let you know when they have availability." So I call the number and guess what? The guy tells me the same exact thing I was told when I had my refrigerator problem: "There is nobody in your area to provide this service." Then he goes on to say some kind of mumbo jumbo about how they have to try and find somebody. This, of course is a lie: there are many people in this area who could fix this dishwasher. How do I know this? Because I called numerous technicians in the area and they told me so. They also told me that the problem is that LG does not want to pay the going rate. The other problem is that their appliances are crap - which is news to me because when I bought them they had five star reviews. So far, every appliance I bought that was LG has had serious repair problems. In fact, there was a class action suit brought against LG for their French Door refrigerators (which I have) that were made with bad compressors. My appliances were registered through LG and yet I never received any notification about this class action suit. Interesting. It sounds like I have a big problem with LG but in my mind, I have a big problem with Sears because I have a contract with Sears; I pay money every month to Sears and yet when I have a problem they make me deal with LG. Why is that? I was told that this is because LG is a "partner" to Sears. Well that is fine for Sears but they are not a partner with me. They ignore customers, they provide no solutions, they give bad information. The first time I called in with my dishwasher complaint, they told me that I should wait a half hour and call a number that would "elevate" my complaint. I called the number and they had no idea what I was talking about. These people are utterly incompetent and if they are your "partner" you are in bigger trouble than you appear to be. I got a text on Monday October 25 from Sears, which said they were in the process of "assigning a service provider. Please allow 24 to 48 hours to receive information about your job assignment." Then it closes with this missive: "If you need further assistance, press HELP to alert our concierge team." Of course after entering "HELP" absolutely nothing happens. It's very funny to me that the word "service" is used repeatedly and yet, no service is ever rendered. I called the LG number again that was on the email and got one of their stellar know-nothings who sent me a link to my repair request on the Cinch website. There it tells me to "coordinate with your assigned service partner." You have absolutely no hope of ever talking to anybody in this country, the telephone connections are horrendous - there is constant noise on the line and you can't understand what these people are saying. If you ask them a question they simply parrot back what they just said. If you ask to speak to a manager, they parrot the same line. It is the worst service I have ever had, bar none. As far as I am concerned the Sears Home Warranty is no warranty and I would be better off just calling somebody here in Monument when one of my crap LG appliances breaks down again, which most assuredly will happen. I called again today and was told their "dispatch team" was looking for somebody to repair my dishwasher. Every month they take money from my account and they tell me what a "valued customer" I am. My most fervent hope is that they continue, non-stop to complete dissolution before they sign up additional, non-suspecting customers. This website won't let you continue without checking off at least one star. I want you to know: they get NO stars.

Sears home warranty claims that they will promptly repair appliances. It took almost 2 1/2 months, two repair estimates and countless hours on the phone with customer service for me to cancel my policy because I realized that my peace of mind to be done with this company was better than sitting and waiting for my broken fridge to get repaired. They kept telling me that they couldn’t find a repairman in my area. Funny thing was I saw A&E appliance repair/Sears service trucks on a daily basis. Be warned that you will have to pay a $39 fee to cancel the warranty, even though they never provided me a service. They are super unreliable , incompetent and in my book, total crooks. There is no value in this policy when they do not stand by their claim to be prompt and that they care about their “very most valued customers”. If they valued us they would’ve repaired or replaced our broken fridge in a timely manner. 2 1/2 months with a broken refrigerator is unacceptable!

From no-shows, to lack of customer service, hold times, wait times, cost alone. Oh my goodness... Complete rip off! I have called customer service numerous times, can't understand any of them. I had at one point a a functionable appliance. The fridge just wouldn't get cold enough. They dismantled it, said it would be costly to POSSIBLY repair. No way to tell if it would hold up. I didn't obviously approve for the work, now I can't get through to anyone to put it back to together. Second repair scheduled, my husband missed work to be here and they were a no-show. No call, nothing. They did confirm my appointment via text.

The worst service is provided by Sears Home Warranty. I have opened a claim for my Gas Range with Oven not functioning in May 2021 and still have issues with them not getting repaired until now in Oct 2021. They send technicians one after other from different companies whom they don't provide the history of what was done in earlier visits and they keep replacing same parts again and again without any result, and the technicians submit the job as completed, without satisfaction of the customer, and not bothering to show the customer that its working after the repair and they just leave, only for us to notice later that its not working. They have sent the technicians from atleast 3 different companies and making visits by technicians for more than 15 times without any result. I have been without oven for more than 5 months now and after hours being on phone with Customer service, the customer service representatives keep on giving assurance that this would be the last time they are going to send technician to check on the issues with oven before they can decide on replacement. But every time they make fool out of you assuring this would be last visit. And one of the representatives threated us for deciding to cancel membership saying we are responsible for the dues for the remaining period of home warranty period. I strictly recommend not to buy home warranty from SEARS.
