Liberty Home Guard provided us with outstanding service on our last claim. Our water heater broke and we called them around 1 pm. A technician was at our house three and a half hours later. He diagnosed the water heater and recommended replacement, which Liberty agreed with. 2 days later, we had a brand new Rheem water heater installed in our home. with a tech arriving at 4:30. By far the best home warranty plan that I have ever had.

The plumber that Liberty Home Guard most recently sent was fantastic. He fixed my kitchen sink really quickly and then of his own accord went around the house to check the others to make sure none of those sinks’ parts needed tightening or any other adjustment. Also, during the course of checking everything he cleaned each sink, and the pipes underneath, leaving them cleaner than he got them. If you’re someone that only wants to deal with the highest quality service professionals, then the only home warranty in my view that can meet that high bar is Liberty Home Guard.

I've had a great experience with Liberty up until now. I do currently have an ongoing claim (about 5 days), and I’m hopefully to get it resolved soon. It is for my Thermador oven, which I know can be difficult to source parts for because it is a bit older (approx. 20 years). That said, I do feel comfortable writing this review because on my past 4 claims Liberty achieved high marks in both convenience and savings. Also, Jake the representative I spoke with at Liberty regarding my Thermador assured me that based on the breakdown, my oven issue would be fully covered, which was a relief to say the least. If something does go wrong or differently with this claim and my Liberty experience, I do plan to come back and update this review.

I called and got connected with Lorraine when my central heating system stopped working. She worked fast, and I had a technician at my place two days later. The guy knew his stuff and was able to reanimate the system on the next visit, which was another two days later. All in all, we were out of heat for four days which was tough, but for a home warranty company Liberty moved lightning fast and we saved about $650. Lorraine was very helpful, checking in on us and you could tell she cared about our welfare. By the way, the technician even cleaned the area after he was done, which while not necessary, was greatly appreciated. Thank you to the entire team that helped us out here.

I don’t remember all their names but I’ve never spoken with anyone there who gives me the run around or tries to shirk their responsibilities. Over the past 3 years I’ve submitted 5 claims with them. I’ve had 2 of those claims take longer than two weeks. One was for a full Air Conditioning replacement and I saved about $2,000 on that because of Liberty. The other was for our refrigerator and the unit was backordered. Besides for those 2 claims taking longer than I would have liked, the other 3 claims were not only covered but also all handled within 4 days. Even though they don’t have a perfect record I’m still giving them a positive review here because I know they’re a company that gives a darn about their customers.

About 45 minutes after that conversation, he called me back letting me know that they were actually able to get a heating technician out to my home that very same day due to another job being rescheduled. I just submitted my first claim with them and it was easy to both create the claim and see it resolved. To create the claim, I filled out their form online and as soon as I hit the submit button I got a call for their customer service team. They informed me that they have a repairman available to come to my home the next day and even showed me the repair company’s good reviews online. He came fully prepared and the issue was completely fixed the next day. I’m hopeful that this was not just beginner’s luck and that my future claims will be handled with the same level of care. I'm so thankful for the impeccable service I and my family have received from Liberty Home Guard for our home. They have little to no wait times when it comes to speaking with an actual, live human, english speaking rep and their customer service team has always been quick to follow up and keep us looped in. For example on my last claim, 10 minutes after I got off the phone speaking with Julia, a rep, I believe her name was Lorraine, called me to inform me that a contractor could be at my house within a few minutes if I wanted. Unfortunately, we all just left the house so instead, I took the next day's appointment. I’m happy to see how proactive and willing to help Liberty is.

The same day I called to place a claim for a faulty water heater, it was assigned to a repairman. I wanted to be careful, so I looked them up and saw that they had 4 out of five stars on google. He came the next day, after fifteen minutes told me the water heater needed to be replaced and that he notified Liberty. About five minutes later I got a call from Jake who explained that the replacement would be covered and should be arriving at my house in two days. As promised, the water heater arrived, along with the same repairman two days later and they completed the replacement of my water heater. Everything went smooth and not only does the new water heater work perfectly, I’m also saving every month on my utility bill since it is more efficient.

Submitting a claim is quite easy with Liberty, and in these past two cases, she responded very quickly. The last claim was for a pipe that was clogged and Liberty had the entire job done in about 40 hours. Based on my last two experiences, I'd highly recommend getting a coverage plan with Liberty.

He did a phenomenal job fixing the leaking pipe and he seems to have completely resolved the issue. I did not appreciate how helpful a home warranty could be but now that I needed them and they stepped up, I can confidently recommend Liberty as the top choice.

It's in continuation to my previous review of Liberty Home Guard. The situation as I see it (Analogy): A patient contacts his insurance company for a cut on his finger. The insurance company assigns him a doctor, and the doctor kills him by chopping off his head instead. The doctor replied that the patient had a headache from the cut. Also, the cut was never taken care of. Now the question Q) Do we care about the cut, or is that cut covered by insurance anymore? Q) Can the insurance company get away with saying the head is not covered through this insurance and so take $200 for the inconvenience? Q) Isn't it reasonable to ask to get the patient at least to its original state with just the cut issue, if not better? My situation (briefly): I first called in to report a door error. Technician 1 comes in and, after a few minutes of looking at it, asks to replace the part in the door. I pay for the labor, and the part is replaced. He then could not fix the problem and asked for more parts through the warranty company, which the warranty company now asks me to pay. I told the warranty company that the previously replaced part was not even needed. After multiple correspondences, I was made to cancel my warranty which I did. Then the cancellation refund I get through LBH is for $0. In this, I was charged $100 for the microwave insurance I was told didn't even start and I could cancel it anytime during one month, and $80 for sending a technician that I was told then I wouldn't be charged at the time of filing the claim. Then I was offered an appraised refund which meant that if I deleted all my reviews, I would get my $180 plus some $200 (approx) for the inconvenience. I agreed to it, provided my microwave was returned to its original state with its original issue. First, technician 1 tries to put back the frame and various parts that he took out to put in the new part, but he cannot do so because he broke all those parts in the first place. Technician 2, assigned by LBH, comes and, apart from making various observations he made, confirms that the door has been made beyond repair, the new part was neither put correctly nor required, and also showed that the original problem, which was with the latch/switch in the main frame that has fallen back and needed a repair. Now the warranty company calls me and offers me $200 for the inconvenience of a $1600 microwave-made junk (killed). Now the question Q) Do we care about the latch/switch in the mainframe, or is that covered by warranty anymore, now that the whole microwave is junk? Q) Can the warranty company get away with saying the main door is not covered through this insurance and so take $200 for the inconvenience for a microwave that will cost me more than $1600, not including shipment and installation? Q) Isn't it reasonable to ask to get the microwave at least to its original state with just the latch/switch issue, if not better? Please make your observations after reading this.

Last time I filed a claim, I had someone at my door within 48 hours fully prepped with all spare parts. I know because the control board needed to be replaced (according to the tech) but he said that Liberty already gave him all the information about the unit so he knew what components to bring, again this is what the technician told me. It is always a breath of fresh air to work with a company that takes their clients’ needs seriously and solves problems.

I am delighted with how the recent repair of my oven went. I submitted the claim because it was not heating up. The customer service agent asked me a few questions and three hours later a repairman was at my house to take a look. He said he brought a bunch of spare parts and he was able to switch the heating element out right then and there. Within 4 hours of calling Liberty, even though my oven was experiencing a major issue, they had it up and running perfectly again. Well done.

We filed a claim last week on our broken fridge, we’ve been quarantined up in the catskills and made the mistake of overstuffing the refrigerator. This was entirely our fault and we were honest about it to the good folks of Liberty, they paid out $500.00 towards a new $750.00 fridge which retails for $950, we paid the $250 difference. When I called to register a claim because under my sink was leaking, I got on with a representative named Michelle who was very competent. She asked me a few questions and took detailed notes, which I know she did because the plumber who arrived actually told me that he knew everything he needed about the issue without asking me anything because he had such detailed notes from the “intake rep”. But when it needed to be replaced agin, not only did they cover it but they sent an electrician to check the wiring and also covered that work. The customer service team at Liberty Home Guard is just consistently strong. Whether they’re explaining to you the coverage or helping you get your claim prioritized (all things I’ve personally experienced), they communicate clearly and patiently. They have displayed understanding of my perspective and empathize with you. I can’t say that I’ve always been covered for each of my claims and haven’t had to come out of pocket sometimes, but my expectations were always set and I was communicated with clearly and effectively. And yes, overall during my years of coverage with Liberty Home Guard I have saved thousands of dollars by using them.

I was with American home shield for many years. Liberty home guard used to send me emails and heavily marketed me to switch. I made the call and spoke to someone. They said policy is same as AHS and others. Repair if we can or replace with same initial fee. Nothing extra. No sub clauses, paragraphs etc were mentioned about exceptions. Lower rates and guarantee that CS is American based. Now very first issue with clothes dryer. Person they sent over says its motor is bad and LHG get back to me saying they’ll replace. With only a $150 credit towards a near $1000 replacement cost. Including install. Reason: Unit is 17 years old and has $0 value. Well first of all obviously it has 0 value. It’s old and it’s broken. Then started quoting me the contract that it’s old. Never were these things mentioned to me when I was baited to sign up. And it was obviously off shore person contacting me which is another deception on part of LHG. This looks like a scam as it seems like they are spending all their money on marketing and baiting customers. I’ve had many repairs and replacements done over last 10 years. Liberty Home Guard is the WORST... Since I opened the claim on 11/4/2022, I have yet to see a technician at my house. The first technician told me he charges a service fee, which I told him Liberty Guard pays you. He said he will not come to my house unless I paid him, so I immediately contacted Liberty right after he called me, to explain the situation. They told me they would get with the technician to remind him they would pay the service call. 4 days passed, no one called me back. A week later, Liberty dispatched a different company out. The Gentleman called me and wanted to know exactly what the fridge was doing, I told him the compressor was not engaging. He asked me to stop the fan so he could get an idea of what might be wrong before he scheduled a visit. After gashing my finger opened for doing what he asked me to do, he said yes, it's the compressor. He told me he would get to my house the next day between 10 am to 3:00pm, and he also said if it was the compressor almost all home warranty companies would not fix it because just the parts alone would be over $500.00. I waited at my house that whole Saturday, November 12th. My grandsons had a championship football game that I miss, and this man NEVER showed up. I've been without a refrigerator for a month, all my food was lost. I made accommodations, I stored my food in coolers. After 2 weeks of it being in the cooler, it was time to throw it out. 11/29/2022 was all I could take; I cannot live without a refrigerator. I had to purchase a new one. Nothing fancy, just similar to what I had. the low end to what I had, but it's better than not having one sitting in the middle of my kitchen broken. Policy states they are not responsible for lost or spoiled food, I get that. Problem is it's expensive to go to the store daily to purchase food daily, and also expensive to have to waste left overs because you do not have any place to store left overs. I'm very disappointed with Liberty Guard, this is the second time I've been let down by your company. Last November I called about my dishwasher and it's still not fixed. I just thought maybe it was an off time for your company. For the past 2 years, if someone said they were looking for a better home warranty company, I always told them about all the great experiences I had. This right here has completely changed my mind. No one should ever have to be without a refrigerator for a whole month waiting for your insurance to help you. Here is the receipt for the fridge I purchased yesterday that will be delivered today. This was not the direction I wanted to take, since this is another note I will have to pay each month. *UPDATE* After Liberty Home Guard​ received this email, they called to inform me that since I purchased a new Refrigerator, they were no longer liable to pay anything on the claim. I added Elite VIP on my policy, yes it cost more. I did this because they sold me on the fact that my claims would be processed immediately, and dispatched the same day. Never again will I trust anything this company says. SHAME ON LIBERTY HOME GUARD..... Also, when a manager called me, I could only understand half of what he was saying to me, and he didn't understand much of what I was saying. His English was so broken, I did ask for his Manager, and he said he was the highest manager..... I'm sure that was a lie.. I told him I will cancel my policy and make sure everyone knows just how horrible this company is.

Derek was very helpful. He assisted me with the claim, gave me all the details and assigned a tech to come in short notice. The tech was also very professional and thorough. He fixed the dryer without any issues. I’ve not had a hiccup with any of my claims yet.

We’ve only had one claim with them so far but it went smoothly. It was for our washing machine and their contractor arrived punctually at the scheduled appointment time. He fixed the noise and smell with our washer and gave us some good tips to avoid them from reoccurring again in the future.

The Liberty’s technician came the next day, came when they said he would, and got a call 30 mins before he arrived to let me know he was coming. Repair was fairly simple and he showed me what to do to fix it myself if it gave me trouble in the future (or at least how to check it)

Just wanted to say thank you to Lorraine who helped resolve my claim. We had an active leak and I needed someone over to my house STAT. I spoke with Lily who was somewhat helpful and I’m grateful she got me on with Lorraine, her supervisor who was able to help be get my claim expedited. Luckily the issue was completely taken care of that very same day.
