I am a realtor and for the past 3 years I have only recommended Liberty Home Guard to my clients. They’re plan options are the most flexible and more importantly their customer service is always responsive and intelligent. I also personally have a policy with them and most recently when filing a claim, I spoke with Naomi who did an exemplary job processing my claim and taking point to ensure it moved forward. The claim, as has consistently been my experience was handled well by Liberty and they applied the maximum extent of coverage to the issue, paying for the entire repair. In my opinion, which I believe is an informed one, they are the best there is in the market.

Worst experience ever. Very high pressure sales that were unethical. Stole money out of my account without authorization once they got hold of my debit card number for anonce they got hold of my debit card number for a smaller charge. The very day but they were supposed to take the smaller charge out they took five separate charges three of which were over $200 each. When I requested that they credit me back with the bank on the phone, they credited me back four separate credits of one dollar each, and then refused to return the stolen amount the same business day… This company is breaking many laws and has an article of incorporation with a registered agent in Delaware that is merely a company conglomerate to represent many other companies who also hide their owners. This company needs to be investigated and will be for fraud.

Liberty’s claim process, at least speaking for myself, has been stress free. I reached out to them when I noticed water leaking under my sink, and was lucky to get Allen to help me. He did great and got me assigned with a skilled plumber who made an appointment and came to my house the very next day. It took the guy maybe 20 minutes to fix the issue and he took care to clean the floor when he was done. I am really happy we went with Liberty. Their attention to detail and commitment to consistently providing quality service has not gone unnoticed.

I can't thank Liberty Home Guard enough for their swift and efficient kitchen response when my oven broke 2 days prior to a family event I was due to host. Danny took down the claim initially and came through when he said they would do their best to get me a repairman right away. That same evening an Oven repairman was at my doorstep. And not only did he get my oven working again, he also proactively replaced an exhaust fan we had in the kitchen. He was on top of everything. When my pool heater wasn’t working and needed repair, I called Liberty and they sourced us a pool repair specialist immediately. He was great. Very friendly, came at the appointed time, and did not seem to struggle at all in repairing the item. The guy was very cool and calm throughout the entire job, even though it was in the low 90’s that day and he worked in the sun for about 2 hours. On my end, it was a stress-free experience and now we’re able to enjoy our pool again. Thank you for handling this issue for us Liberty.

Not worth it at all. Stay away from them. I had the warranty since January, my fridge broke, opened up a claim in May, they sent two technicians and wanted to send a 3rd one due to the fact that the fridge needed full replacement. It is a 3 year old Samsung fridge and their replacement option was a Frigidaire brand single door. Look at the pics to compare. Either that replacement or a $450 contribution towards a new one. Denied both and then they said that they can cancel the policy and I will get a refund of $350.00 back. I denied that also. I logged in and my policy showed inactive. So breached the contract many times. Spoke with a Senior Director Customer relations without any good outcomes. Very bad warranty company.

Filed a claim regarding my AC unit on Sept. 16. Technician assigned by LHG never provided a follow up report, so after calling LHG over a dozen times to get a new technician assigned, I was told by an Account Manager (and an Authorization Rep. on Oct. 19) that I could pay for my own tech out-of-pocket and be reimbursed in full if my claim was denied. I did this, and paid $285 for a wonderful tech who told me I needed a new AC unit ASAP. My entire claim was denied because LHG “does not cover damage caused by leaks of any kind”. Okay, I said, “then please reimburse me the $285 I paid for the tech”. Well, they refused to reimburse me. I was livid, so I cancelled my policy and managed to recoup $243 of the $720 I spent on my policy initially. The level of non-service provided by LHG has left me feeling as though I have been robbed of my hard-earned money, and misled by the representatives I have dealt with. Such experiences are not only distressing but also diminish trust in your company. I strongly urge LHG to take a moment to re-evaluate its operational and customer service strategies. It is crucial for any successful business to ensure that customers feel valued and fairly treated, and unfortunately, in my case, this has not been achieved.

I recently faced an issue with my oven where it had some weird code displayed and would not heat up. Frankly, I had no idea what to do. Thankfully, Liberty did. I called their lines and spoke with a really knowledgeable representative, whose name I believe was Ryan. He actually helped me troubleshoot and was able to get the code issue fixed and my oven working again, all by instructing me over the phone. The knowledge and quality of their reps definitely impressed me. They saved me the deductible and the hassle of scheduling an appointment with a repairman. Nice initiative on their part.

When our HVAC unit suddenly stopped working, we were very fortunate to have Liberty Home Guard standing behind its commitment to us. Within a week they got the unit back up and running. To be clear, this was the complete opposite experience than what we had with our last home warranty company, American Home Shield. American Home Shield gave us the run around for weeks and in the end we had to find our technician and pay completely out of pocket. Here with Liberty, the technician arrived within 48h and diagnosed the issue as a faulty capacitor right on the spot. He came back a couple days later, replaced the part and it has been working perfectly ever since.

We decided to write this review as a token of our appreciation for a rep at Liberty Home Guard that went above and beyond. Chris helped us get signed up with a policy and also when we had an issue with a job quote we received from a contractor. This was not even related to a claim but we trusted Chris so decided to call him and get his take on the price. Chris asked to speak with the handyman directly and was so knowledgeable, that not only did he correct/improve the contractors scope of work, he got him to drop his price by 50%. Chris showed that he really cares about his customers and will go the extra mile for them. If the other reps are as high-quality as Chris I will remain a Liberty Home Guard customer for another 20 years.

I was unsure about whether or not to purchase a home warranty, as this was the first time I bought a home. But after doing A TON of research, I decided to go with Liberty, and I'm happy I bought their coverage. Their five-year policy was under what I wanted to spend per year on coverage and it covers absolutely everything, including our pool and septic system. When I had an issue with my air conditioning, Michael from their customer service ensured that we got a repairman right away. When the fix was completed I got a follow up call from Nicole to ensure everything went smoothly, which thankfully it did. Most importantly, they saved me over $600 on the repairs and recharge.

I've been a customer of Liberty Home Guard for four years now. I originally purchased a one year policy. They helped me with replacing my Air Conditioning that year. That was my only claim that year but the savings paid for the policy a few times over so I decided to renew and upgrade to a three year plan when my original policy expired. Over the years since, I've unfortunately had to make a few claims. That said, Liberty did not disappoint, not even once. Their technicians always seem qualified technicians, and I I know for every claim the savings will be real and significant. Carlos and Jake have been two reps I’ve spoken with in the past who have helped me out and I also want to say thank you to them, they are a significant part why I’m writing this review.

Liberty Home Guard recently helped me with our heating system. At first I was not sure what was making the noise but when I spoke with the agent at Liberty Home Guard, he said he had a feeling it was my HVAC system so he went ahead and assigned an HVAC specialist to my issue. He was actually able to come out the next day which I appreciated. When he came, he went straight to the heating system. It turned out that our blower motor fan was loose. He made the fix, cleaned up and left. The entire job took him about 45 minutes. Actually, as I’m writing this review, I’m having a similar issue with our clothes dryer, so I plan on making a claim with Liberty Home Guard again later today. Hopefully this one goes as smoothly as the last one. If it doesn’t, I will make sure to come back here and update my review.

John made my home warranty experience a breeze. I initially signed up with him for a 3-year policy but after my last claim I think I’m going to convert it to a 5-year one. The speed with which they sort claims out is great and the savings are the real deal. They hooked me up big time when my central heating unit broke. They fully replaced it and instead of costing me about $5,500, which is what their contractor told me he would have charged, I only spent around $2,500. They have definitely surpassed my expectations and provided value to me and my family. I look forward to being a customer with them for years to come.

I've had a great experience with Liberty up until now. I do currently have an ongoing claim (about 5 days), and I’m hopefully to get it resolved soon. It is for my Thermador oven, which I know can be difficult to source parts for because it is a bit older (approx. 20 years). That said, I do feel comfortable writing this review because on my past 4 claims Liberty achieved high marks in both convenience and savings. Also, Jake the representative I spoke with at Liberty regarding my Thermador assured me that based on the breakdown, my oven issue would be fully covered, which was a relief to say the least. If something does go wrong or differently with this claim and my Liberty experience, I do plan to come back and update this review.

My experience with Liberty Home has been great from the start. At 38 I purchased my first home and was treated very well when I called them to sign up. All my questions were answered and my concerns were explained. I have not had to file a claim but I have been told by other Liberty Home clients that the process is made very simple and easy to understand. The online access is also a great tool to have to get support etc.

We filed a claim last week on our broken fridge, we’ve been quarantined up in the catskills and made the mistake of overstuffing the refrigerator. This was entirely our fault and we were honest about it to the good folks of Liberty, they paid out $500.00 towards a new $750.00 fridge which retails for $950, we paid the $250 difference. Just like that - BRAND NEW FRIDGE! Thank you for being so helpful during this difficult time!

Crook Company, plain and simple. I’ve had LHG for a few years and my experience has consistently gotten worse. I’ll put a few examples below: 1. I needed some general plumbing help. It took a few days to have the plumber come out, which is fine it was not an emergency, however, it took a weeks after for him to come back and fix. I had to reach out multiple times for him to finally help. Once done, his work wasn’t completed properly and when I called LHG for help they said I’d have to pay the $125 fee again for his mistake. 2. Recently had my AC go out. It happened late at night and they boast they have emergency services but wouldn’t send someone out or approve quick enough so I had to pay out of pocket. They ended up only paying me $80 out of a $400 bill because it wasn’t approved. Really look at the wording in their contracts. When I called customer care to see if I could get anymore off my bill I was met with extreme rudeness and them saying well at least you’re getting $80. 3. From this incident, I wanted to cancel my policy. I asked them the cancellation process, they told me that once I cancel I would be able to receive partial refund. So then I go to cancel and it’s no we are taking all your money and it says in the contract part J. I asked for leadership to assist and they will not escalate up. I’ve reported them to BBB, getting a lawyer involved and am now leaving bad reviews all over the internet so hopefully someone else is warned. I also found a Reddit thread where some stated they are allegedly paying for reviews > just type in Liberty Home Guard Reddit and you’ll see If you have to allegedly pay for reviews, you aren’t a good company.

Smart and reliable team that takes initiative. Whenever I have had an issue they’ve always jumped at the opportunity to handle it for me. Even for things that are outside of coverage. For example our barbecue wouldn’t turn on, even though it wasn’t part of my policy they still sent a handyman to help us out. Their service is awesome. I strongly recommend them.

Liberty Home Guard provided us with outstanding service on our last claim. Our water heater broke and we called them around 1 pm. A technician was at our house three and a half hours later. He diagnosed the water heater and recommended replacement, which Liberty agreed with. 2 days later, we had a brand new Rheem water heater installed in our home. with a tech arriving at 4:30. By far the best home warranty plan that I have ever had.

The plumber that Liberty Home Guard most recently sent was fantastic. He fixed my kitchen sink really quickly and then of his own accord went around the house to check the others to make sure none of those sinks’ parts needed tightening or any other adjustment. Also, during the course of checking everything he cleaned each sink, and the pipes underneath, leaving them cleaner than he got them. If you’re someone that only wants to deal with the highest quality service professionals, then the only home warranty in my view that can meet that high bar is Liberty Home Guard.

I had a claim that was my fault, and they covered it with no problem at all! Yes, I had to pay a deductible, but they took care of paying for the repairs. Between the repairs and the labor, Liberty paid nearly $500, and I had to pay a $100 deductible.
