Resolution department allowed me to hire a local company that came out that week and fixed it. I paid the bill and Choice Home Warranty reimbursed me info for the repair less the $65 deductible.

My claimed got denied due to water spigot that's attach to the house was denied to be fixed because it outside of the house. When ask if I burst a pipe when I do it myself then it be covered since the pipe in the house. Fingers cross I don't bust a pipe in the wall while trying to repair it.

I filed a claim for an AC issue, I had a family member that was under in home hospice care. The scheduled appointment was for 3 day from the claim date. I asked if we could check if another vendor could come out sooner. I was told if they did it would cancel the current vendor and then it might delay the service. I feel like under the circumstances it should be someway to check on for an earlier appointment time. It was 100 degrees in Texas.

My washer broke and I had the repair people come out who determined that the washer couldn't be fixed when I got the replacement amount offered it was far less than any washer I could find at Lowe's I didn't go all the people I could not except $343 for replacement value it's all right if y'all buy me a washer for whatever amount you can long did have some of the features that my wash your hair which are quite a few that I know that before but the amount you open is ridiculous I cannot find anything for that price and I paid for replacement value

We've had to put in roughly 6 work order requests in the past 5 months after we purchased a new home that had some issues. We have had to call in multiple times when our cooktop needed parts that were no longer available, due to COVID. We waited three months for a final decision was made on approving a cooktop replacement. This means we've been without a cooktop to cook normal meals on. The communication was horrible, we spoke with one representative out of 9 calls we put in regarding this issue.

He told my husband he didn't think he could do anything further because it was out of freon and we only had our policy for a month. Both of my A/C units went out during the hot sweltering heat of summer. I called CHW and was told "you're covered 100%! After many, many, many calls, I kept getting the "run around." We need this and that from your tech. Iwas told to use any A/C tech of my choosing due to the overwhelming need during the summer heat. My service was completed and I sought reimbursements. My tech sent in pictures, all documents, serial numbers to no avail. After more than 50 calls, I finally talked to a head manager and he said they do not cover A/C units unless it's at least 25 years old. He stated that was company policy. Infuriated would be an understatement to say how I felt about CHW! Mind you, my unit was 17 years old, parts were no longer available, nor being sold. The reason I purchased the CHW Warranty was the salesperson recommended it aggressively because of its age. When my 3y Protection Plan is up. I'm moving on. False advertising. I am thinking about suing after I read all the reviews/complaints similar to my experience from the plaintifs in California.

A couple of weeks ago I needed to use my warrranty when my sump pump went out as well as the water heater and I needed a replacement. They did say that the sump pump needed to be replaced and they did take care of that, but when they came to the water heater they denied that claim because of they said that the tank was not a replaceable item and it was not covered under the warranty. Even the gentleman from the company that came out to give estimates said that he had issues with Choice in the past with replacing those which I thought was crazy so we were out over a thousand dollars.

I'm not getting the response I think I need when I call. Then they don't cover things I think they should and I feel most the time that they come they say that it costs more than what I was originally told. I had to get a water heater replaced and when they replaced my water heater they said I had to have all these upgrades . So it cost me more than if I hired somebody else myself to put in a water heater. The vendors are good. I think it takes too long to get vendors out to your property.

My experience has been fairly positive.They seem to know how to resolve the problem or pass it on to someone who might be able to resolve the problem.There does not appear to be a uniformity of the technicians, I don't get the feeling that these people are pre-qualified. You really don't know who's coming through the door.

Time for service to get here. Repairman took 5 days to get here. Was a follow-up to previous call and repair offered to give me my deductible back snd not show up. Said it wasn't a paying job since ticket was reopened. Called on Friday and didn't show until Tuesday. It was 88 degrees in my house. Then charged me another $100 for compressor and never checked w Choice on my price. Not sure if I was overcharged or not. Poor contractor sent. Find a replacement.

Two service request in a row about six weeks apart, they did not notify contract properly. The first emailed a date and time for appointment, but ontractor was unaware of secheduled service. Second, contractor stated he never recived communication from Choice so he did not keep appiont sent by home choice. Wasted half day waiting. I notified the contractor after reciving confirmation of the service order and he even stated he would see me the next day. No show no call. I contacted Choice and they reached out to contractor. He called back and resechudle for next morning.

Wait time exceeds accepted business practice. No return calls when promised. Made stupid statements when asked why we weren't covered wen we understood we were. The first repair person stated he would not come out for lack of payment from your company for multiple past jobs. Another tech put us out 2 weeks, endangering our health as your company wouldn't allow us to remove a refrigerator until examined and it had black mold living in it, so now we need to be tested. The third tech acted like it hurt to think as he explained what your company would not cover, yet offered his services separately. I paid out $ 130.00 of my husband's hard earned money just so someone could go to lunch. Lucky me. As an adult I do not discuss any challenges I have with others and even if I did in this case, the truth is its own defense. Unless my family gets black mold positive test back, and I discover some need in the future you actually do cover as you state, we are done with business.

I like being able to turn to you for help and you did initiate a new claim so that went smoothly. However it is going to be 5 days before a technician can come out. I had to call Sears to schedule maintenance on my clothes dryer and they are coming out tomorrow - their charge is only $24 more than your service fee. (And no monthly payment.) So right now Sears is looking like they might be a better choice for me.

Can't speak to them except through Choice, they aren't receptive to our complaints. My Kenmore elite fridge stopped working .Choice home technician said it needs a new compressor. choice home didn't fix it instead they gave me credit for 1/3 of the price of a new fridge. I called several times and and asked them for a different option. They refused . I had to buy a fridge and pay a lot more. They also didn't help me cover all the spoiled food in the fridge.

The pump on our well went out around 7 pm one night so we called a repair man and notified Choice Warranty. The next day the repair man came out to repair and Choice informed us that they needed pictures and a statement showing what was wrong before they could approve. I'm sorry but when there are 4 children and 4 adults living in the home you need water. We had the work done to only discover we could not even get reimbursed as we had no pictures or statement to give. We paid extra for coverage on the well pump yet they expected us to go without water just to satisfy their policy I guess.

Unable to locate a contractor to repair my A/C, offered to let me find my own contractor. Everyone I contacted was only interested in replacing the unit. Contacted CHW again and told them my findings and was told they are still working on finding me a contractor. Took about 1 week to repair after I ultimately found someone to fix it. I cancelled my claim. If your going to contract repair people they should respond quicker. Not even a "hey we're really busy, we can schedule you in two weeks". No one even tried to schedule my service.

They often require two trips=one to assess and ask for approval to repair and then a later one to actually repair. Your service can be unnecessarily delayed for days. They are responsive and have good tech's under contract. As long as nothing is irreparable, you will be happy with the cost of the plan and the service. But, If they decide to replace your appliance, God help you. They refuse to tell you what unit you are going to get in advance. If they elect to pay you instead, they flatly refuse to tell what they based their offer on, though the contract requires them to pay their cost to replace with a similar unit. They won't tell you what unit and what cost their offer is based on. They just make it up. And they ignore demands for mediation and arbitration required in the contract. If you have to replace an AC system, they will pencil whip you, paying only for a component and you will ending paying the same or more than if you had just replaced the whole system yourself.

My garage door opener stopped working.First Technician came out & paid more attention to the door than the opener motor. Said he would fix the door for $300. Called him back, he said the same thing as before. He never checked the garage door opener motor. Second tech came out &opener worked fine. I explained to him that opener works sporadically. I removed 4 screws to the motor housing, removed the motor starter capacitor. That took all of 12 minutes & costs $22.

I've had a few problems with Choice Home Warranty's customer service, so I don't rate them very high. Found out the best way to request service is online- We had no problem with that at all. My wife put in a request for something and that was it. Fifteen minutes later I got a notice that a technician was would be out here. I don't think I would recommend Choice to a friend. For the money, the home warranty is great...If they would do what they told me they would do.

They've paid for everything that I've had except my air conditioner. They said because it was never maintained. But they've always responded back to me. I have a new policy because I just renewed and there's supposed to be new things on there and I never did get a booklet telling me what new things I have that I can use now. I've never have received anything in the mail or anything telling me what my new policy is, and I bought that like four or five months ago. I am satisfied with them, they gave me a fairly good price. Our microwave went out. And that was recently that was probably two or three months ago, and they were efficient. The guy came out within my time frame and he said he was going to be there. He got it done, cleaned up and left so it was good experience. Overall I have had a good experience with them.

Until my issue is resolved, I prefer not to recommend them. One item was repaired satisfactorily. The service was good. The repairman was excellent. The other item I'm still waiting after calling multiple times, waiting to hear back from the person who's handling it and I'm kind of disappointed that they have not called back yet because I've gotten an email asking how my experience was with the call back that I didn't get.

The only person I've talked to was fine. One time the technician stayed at my house for a couple of hours and it wasn't made clear to me what was happening. But in the end, the technician replaced the water heater and did a fine job. I will say when I submitted the claim on my own and was charged twice, it did not inspire a whole lot of confidence in me to try to do anything on my own. Because the blame would land on me.

They have the best price. When I called to make the claim it was all over the phone. I said the border was leaking that was included and they didn't respond to that.
